TELEGRAFVERKET EUROPEAN DESK CRADLE ANTIQUE VINTAGE ROTARY DIAL TELEPHONE WORKS
Here is an authentic Telegrafverket desk telephone made by Televerket. A Swedish government agency responsible for telecommunications in Sweden from 1853 to 1993. I'm not sure of the date of thi phone, but I know it looks old. It looks all original and in beautiful condition for its age, with the metal base and the Bakelite handset with the spitcup feature, the dial card that reads"VENT PA SUMMETONEN" the Telegrafverket logo on the front, the"backwards" numbers on the dial-that's how they dial in Sweden! This telephone looks to be all original and in good condition inside. I was able to hook wire an old phone line using a phone diagram and was able to get the phone to work, and I called several numbers, and they all worked. When a call is incoming, the phone rings nicely. There is one small spot on the top of the ... morephone case where paint has chipped, but it should be an easy fix. Other that that, it looks to be in great cosmetic condition. The only work I did to this was to replace 2 missing screws that hold the bell to the base(note the silver colored nuts on the bottom of the phone) and tighten up a loose screw. It will come equiped with the phone line to plug into your existing jack. NOTE: When I first listed this phone it did not work. I have spent several hours lately looking at old phone diagrams. Until I finally got everything to work on this phone. I first wired the phone to make calls, but it didn't ring. I found the solution in another diagram today by jumping 2 posts and now the bell rings. Just like with the old rotary phones, if the party calling does not hang up, the phone will stay connected for about 15 seconds before it disconnects. Since the numbers are backwards, you will need to dial backwards. For instance, the 9 on this phone is actually 1 in the USA, and the 8 is 2, and so on. You can mark the dial with peel and stick numbers or you could get a card to replace the European one. I like it just the way it is, you just have to remember that the dialing sequence is

Vintage 1940's RCA 88-A microphone w desk stand old RARE midcentury antique
Hello. Let me start by telling you that I recently purchased this RCA 88-A on a gamble as the seller didn't know if it worked? This microphone needed a good cleaning as well and a 1/4 inch connector as the original attachment was not useable. That being said I was told that this particular microphone is a"Pressure microphone" and belonged to an engineer who worked at C.B.S many years ago. This would explain the engraving on the mic itself. This somewhat rare and very unique microphone comes with it's original stand and this microphone does work. very well I might add. It has a strong clear signal and while there is cracking in the original 4 foot cable.this in no way affects the performance of the microphone. The cable still works very well and is soft and pliable. it has several years left on her. The original paint shows ... moresigns of wear but overall very attractive. The metal screen shows a few dents but nothing major. Like the entire setup it blends in really. Microphone stand has that deco streamline styling that sets the RCA brand apart from so many of the others from over the years. The cast iron stand is very heavy and in very good condition. The satin chrome on the base looks amazing and the stem is equally nice but missing a screw used for tightening the swivel ball. it should be noted that while the screw is missing.it is certainly not needed as there is more than enough tension on the joint that moving the microphone at any angle take a bit of effort. it certainly isn't going to move on it's own. The origian RCA label is still on the bottom and most of the original paint is still present with just a few nicks here and there. The original felt padding was gone so I replaced it with 5 pads that work very well. I used a vintage 1940's era 1/4 inch connector to keep the microphone as vintage as possible. it works excellent and it was professionally soldered by myself. The signal is strong and clear and comes with the High and Low impedence switch. The satin chrome finish has a very nice luster and the joint mechanism holds like it should. This particular mic resembles slightly the infamous Astatic 77 in size and shape. You'll notice right away that this mic was custom fit to a 1960's Dazor Floating Fixture. It has been rewired for this microphone specifically and while there appears to be an exposed cable in pic# 12.it is merely the outer metal jacket and in no way shorts or affects the microphones performance. it's merely cosmetic I assure you. The Dazor stand shows some wear in the form of scratches ... morebut otherwise looks very nice and is in excellent working order. The stand itself is appx 3 feet long and has a variety of angles and joints that can be worked to get the mic exactly where you want it once the stand is bolted to any surface. The protruding cable is appx 4 feet in length. I would rate this microphone an easy 9 on a scale of 1- 10. The dazor stand I would rate a 7. If you are looking to use a DM-16 mic.this is the one you want. it's a great combination and it's ready to go. As with all my vintage microphones. I can't find anything in my 1945 catalog so it predates the end of World war II. This heavy cast iron stand(3 solid pounds) is in fantastic condition having the original black paint and rubber pads. the only marking on the base is TS1 and seen clearly in pic# 7. The dimension of the stand are 6 inches wide X 7 1/2 inches at the lowest.12 inches at maximum height. Mid Century Desk Very good original condition. The finish is excellent and the drawers work very well. It is also very sturdy. The brass feet have some tarnish on them and the bottom panel has a split in one joint You can see this from the side view and under shot. This is a beautiful piece of furniture and classic mid century style that is not easy to find. It has good quality finish on it. Some finishes are very brittle from this age. But this one is great. In the photos from the left side of the desk it looks like the corners have big white wood showing through the finish, that is a glare. Dimensions: 36" x 20" surface. 30 1/2" height The drawers inside dimensions are 10 1/2" wide and 4 1/4" high except the top drawers in 3 1/4" high. Well. This isn't coming to South America with us.so we'll try it again at a new, reduced price! This no-reserve auction offers a vintage ASE tanker executive tanker desk. Manufactured by All-Steel Equipment, Aurora, IL, USA. This is the rare“executive” version of this desk. The executive version can be identified by the double pedestals and the oversized top that extends past the base on the sides and the back. The desk features the oversized executive top. Two large file drawers, two small drawers, and a flat center drawer. We have a total of five removable dividers for the upper drawers. The desk is in very good shape. The formica top is nice and the rubber bumper edge is in good all the way around. The front is in really good condition. There are a couple of small dents on one side. And the other side has what looks like some splashed ... moreon varnish. This should come off with a little bit of goo gone and some elbow grease. You could paint this. Great antique/vintage Maple(I believe it is maple wood) and black metal school desk- excellent for a homeschool classroom. A kid's playroom or a wonderful conversation piece! The desk has maple wood for the seat and the desk top and sides. The top of the desk opens up and will stay open on it's own and there is a stopper that you put down to keep the desktop level(instead of slanted) There are two pencil trays on the top of the desk and one pencil tray on the inside of the desk pod. The desktop and seat are both adjustable. The ... morebase of the desk, pod of the desk and seat braces are black metal. The desk is a very solid, clean and in great condition. Up for auction is a vintage Radionic Trans Company of Chicago Illinois adjustable lamp in working condition. This lamp measures 15" wide across the hood. 12" tall and the base measures 7" across and 3 7/8" deep.
