Crafted during the first years of the 19th Century. It has a wonderful black paint over another layer of reddish orange, probably also a layer over the original and currently unknown color. The back of the chair has a graceful bow, carefully grasping each through-tenoned splinted spindle before diving through the single solid plank pine seat. The seat is heavily patinated, with deep grooves and wear from decades of active use. The entire chair sits over four splayed bamboo carved legs, all four of which tenon through the plank seat before being secured with a splint, each held firmly and perfectly in place with a bamboo carved H-stretcher. This is a most charming chair, in excellent condition with wonderful patina and character throughout- the early painted surfaces are probably not the original layers, but seem to protect earlier layers beneath, these quite possibly the earliest surfaces. A wonderful find for those that are passionate about fine windsor chairs. Measurements: Seat 13.5" wide x 14.5" deep. The seat sits 16" from the ground and the back of the seat is 33.5" high. Condition Report: Paint worn throughout. Probably not the original surfaces. Deep groves and losses in the plank seat. Chips and abrasions throughout. One nail, appears to be modern, on side of chair stabalizing hoop back. Plank seat split with a butterfly joint securing seat from beneath and two screws locking it in place. Chair is structurally strong, but could possibly be too weak to use functionally as a chair. Please review the images in the slideshow for a full overview of condition.

Beautiful Antique Victorian Hand Carved Arm Chair, No Reserve!
This is a beautiful Victorian carved arm chair. In excellent condition. Except for the upholstery, which isn't original anyway. I was going to redo this piece before listing it, but then thought you'd probably want to"decorate" it to your taste. The carvings are all intact, and the finish on the wood itself is also very nice. The only"damage" if it could be called that, is that there are tack holes visible on the legs where the original upholstery was attached. It is evident that the original padded seat went around the legs there, and obviously that's the way you'd want to do it again. Otherwise this chair is very heavy and solid. It measures 47" high, 27" wide, and 30" deep. This item is too big to ship UPS, so I would prefer local pickup only. Low starting bid and no reserve!

Rare Vintage Antique Victorian Piano Organ Stool Chair-Eagle Claw and Ball Feet
This is a nice condition Vintage Piano Organ Stool Chair. Has the eagle Claw and Ball feet. This was my grandmas. I'm no furniture expert on age. But from what I've seen I would say it is sometime between 1870-1900. Chair is in great condition. These stools with the backs are very rare. My uncle who is in the furniture making business repaired the top back of chair. You cannot tell except for the screws he used. Back of chair is 36 1/4 inches high. The chair is very sturdy and the cane is in excellent condition. The finish is lovely. The color is a medium brown. Some of the pictures in the sun look lighter and the ones in the shade look darker. The chair is 35" tall and the seat is 18" from the floor. The seat is 16 5/8" from front to the back and 17 3/4" wide. It is a very comfortable chair to sit in. this is a rare antique parlor/ hall chair with bench seat. It is heavy and solid. Ebonized dark wood. The back is gated triangle wood design, the seat lifts for storage, it once had a hat hook which is missing. It has carved wood decoration on top and gorgeous carved tulip design on the bottom. One leg has ball foot the other straight as shown. This is a one arm chair as it is meant to go on the side of an entry door or parlor. Outstanding Victorian Walnut Carved Throne Chair RARE- Local Pickup Only
What a show stopper of a throne chair. The best Victorian carved solid walnut throne chair I've seen by an American maker. I believe it's Robert Mitchell around 1895-1905 circa and there is no way of describing how large and fantastic this chair is! Has both exquisite Needlepoint and Petitpoint upholstery. Look at the size of the flower cartouche under the front of the seat. It's literally over 5' tall if that helps perspective. Has beautiful Quality Nail Head trimming around the scalloped bottom of the chair. One very small area where missing a decorative piece but this is hard to see. I cannot find anything wrong with the needlepoint or petitpoint and no stains or rips. I only see some of the back trim on the seat has worked lose but it is all still there and still in tack. Beautiful Victorian era side chair. The vase shaped splat has wonderful grain and is crowned with a trefoil carving. The cane seat has a fret-carved serpentine skirt. Two curved front legs are attached to the straight back legs with turned H-shaped stretchers. Overall. The chair is in good condition. The caning has no breaks and very little wear and is probably newer. There are some water spots across the front edge of the seat, but no breaks or other damage to the wood. This chair stands 37 1/4" tall. The seat measures 17" wide and 16 3/4" deep. Scratches, a small little hole on the cushion in the back on the seat, but you can barely see it. It has 2 cracks on the seat over the swivel pin. We put wood glue and fixed it. Vintage Victorian Couch & Chair mid century
Vintage Victorian art deco 1920 or 30's sofa& chair.they both are all there soild wood frames. Red burgdy velvet. They both need to be reaposterd. The cushions are made with springs mohair cotton and purlap. All of the cushions are there. The arms and front feet are carved wood. The frame is soild wood rounded on the top of the back. I don't see any no cracks or breaks on the wood. They are both very heavy. Local pick up only. I have an antique chair that I don't know anything about. Looks to be in the victorian style. But I can't confirm that. The upholstery is in excellent shape. Its probably not original. The wood is in good shape with some normal scratches and. Scuffs. Overall height is 34" tall. Seat height is 15" tall. Over width is 18" Depth is roughly 14 1/2"

Hi there I am selling this really amazing and cool. Very very old TinType photograph! A Fine Example of a nice Antique Tinted Daguerreotype/ Ambrotype metal photograph.The photo measures 3 1/2 inches by 2 1/2 inches across. This is a kind of photograph that was one of the very first photographs ever taken! I'm unclear if this is a tintype. An ambrotype or a daguerreotype. But it is a photo on a metal sheet and it is an image of a baby sitting on a chair, it looks like a eerie image of a ghost baby probably because back then images were taken over several minutes and that would have been a great challenge for a baby to be still that entire time. This one is from the 1800's. And until I saw these at an estate sale I didn't even know that photography had been around that long! So. This is real treat. A very wonderful antique Victorian Anglo-Indian pierced and carved wood arm chair with scrolling florals. Nuts, eagles, tiger heads. It is on metal casters with wood rolls. The original wood framed spring support seat cushion has new upholstery. The chair measures 3' tall by 23" wide by 42" deep, the seat 21" deep by 24" wide. Very good plus condition: wood in the original dark brown finish. Some crude wood putty repairs to the right inner and outer side of the chair(see last phoro) the rest of chair and skirt around fine(tiny loss to top edge on front skirt.

1880s HUNZINGER Victorian Barley Twist Mahogany Platform Rocker Rocking Chair
I have up for sale a gorgeous vintage/ antique circa 1880's Victorian GEORGE HUNZINGER duplex spring Barley Twist Mahogany Platform Rocker/ Rocking Chair. The rocker is in Very Nice Original Condition- comes direct from the estate of a local Surgeon- who deceased last year. It still maintains the original bottom side paper logo- The Hunzinger Duplex Spring patent dated Sept 26. 1882- as shown in pic#4. The rocker is priced to sell considering the economic conditions. The rocker is in Excellent Condition- it has obviously been reupholstered at some time in the past but otherwise original. The finish is very nice- clean- some normal minor to be expected light wear but overall excellent. There are no damages nor any repairs to the wood. The rocker is extremely sturdy and from the pics you may not notice- but the wood is quite substantial- ... morethe top rail is approx 1-1/2" thick and the barley twist posts below the arms are approx 1-3/4" thick. This is a very well constructed quality made piece of furniture- You will not find its like in today's world. The rocker stands approx. 41" measured from the ground to the top of the back rail. Approx. 26-1/2" wide across the arm rests, and approx. 28" from the back to the front. The inside of the seat area- narrows in a bit where the barley twist post meets the seat area- this measures approx. 18-3/4" so if you are a wide load- take that into consideration before making the purchase. If you could play nose guard for a NFL team, you will not fit into the rocker, its that plain and simple THE CHAIR WILL BE PROFESSIONALLY PACKAGED AND SHIPPED VIA GREYHOUND.
