1895 Victorian marquetry settee and chair for museum or historic home
These pieces belonged to my mother's great-aunt Hettie E Longhead Tutnell who was born around 1870. Lived in New York and Pittsburgh, enjoyed china painting, and had fancy parlor furniture. My mother stored these pieces for 35 years, and I have stored them for the last 40 years. How lovely if they could be displayed somewhere! They are in perfect condition, tight joints and great finish. BUT the legs and arms are not the hefty wood of the mission style, no, these pieces want respect and distance. They are NOT practical, NOT suited for use by children, might not hold up a hefty modern American body. They are masterpieces of marquetry, and deserve to be seen. I have no place for them out in the open, so they sit in storage, awaiting a new owner. The chair has small wooden rollers at the bottom of the legs while the settee does not. The ... moresettee has a fabric-covered seat. And the chair has a needle point cover that was done in the 40's. The stuffing is probably the original horsehair. If you decide to buy these. You will have to pick them up or figure out shipping, so make your calls before you bid. There are a couple of reliable mover/shipper companies in Olympia Wa 98502(where the pieces are) who can connect you with nationwide shippers, or you can start at your end and talk to shippers about cost of shipping. The pieces are not heavy. I can see about getting shipping crates built, and padding for the pieces. Crates and padding will cost you about $50. Shipping costs will depend on where you are shipping to. I am guessing at the weight, and not sure what is going to show up in this listing about shipping costs and methods. A Victorian style footstool that has seen some better days. It is being offered as is and as found. My guess is that it is made of walnut with a velvet-like material cover and dates from the last quarter of the 19th century. These are just my guesses and I do not guarantee it. It appears to have the original finish. But it is damaged in a couple of spots. One of the slats has come out of the hole(but could easily be glued back in) It looks like it may be missing a little wood, but still fits into the slot. The main issue is one of the legs at the very narrow"base of the urn" is broken. You have to laugh at an attempt to secure it. It is a piece of old string(which is still present) The fabric is in terrible condition w/ spots and losses and probably faded(which photos should show) The stool measures about 18" by 11" and ... morestands about 9" tall. Victorian curved back settee with matching chair
Lovely settee and chair. I don't know anything about it- my mother-in-law got it for me. The color is an icy. Pastel blue that was difficult to photograph due to the reflection off the satiny material. It looks dingy in the photographs but it truly is not! It has an intricate pattern best seen in the last picture. It has obviously been reupholstered as the fabric is in very good condition with no wear or tears. The wood is dark with just a few scratches consistent with age. The chair came with it, although I cannot vouch for whether or not they are part of an original set. They appear to be. Excellent shape. Displayed in our bedroom but never used. We are moving to a more modern home where the Victorian style will not work. Smoke free home. When I acquired the chair it was still being used, so this is not some delicate antique.you can use it now. This measures(see below) Condition(on a scale of poor. Fair, good, very good, excellent) is very good antique condition. Wood is sturdy with nothing broken, appropriate condition for age with some rubs on the stained wood, scratches, that kind of thing. Tapestry fabric still very sturdy, a few areas where the threads have worn down, more wear and less color on the seat as would be expected from age. 1 Antique Victorian Mahogany Art Nouveau side chair
Offered for auction is the beautiful. Not often seen, Mahogany Art Nouveau side chair on Porcelain castors. Somewhat robust size and very comfortable. The central back splat has decoration in the form of plants growing out of bulbs at the base of the splat, sinuous stems rising to the top of the chair rail, and then flowing out on the top rail in bulbous flowers. Both the chair back stiles and the front legs are twisted and the legs end in flared out feet. The front seat rail and the knees of the legs have carved decorations on them. All raised on front leg porcelain casters. 33 1/2" t, 20 1/2" w at front, 19 1/2" d, 19" tall floor to seat. Here is a chair you do not see often, and with a little restoration of the webbing under the seat, this will be a spectacular addition to your collection.

This is a beautiful ladies rocker from the Victorian Era. It was recovered back in the 1930's with mohair(according to the lady that sold it to me) It is in original condition otherwise. Here is another amazing Victorian parlor chair. This one is carved walnut with very nice salmon colored velvet upholstery. I do not believe this is the original upholstery but it is not new either, please note wear on arms especially and on the seat, as shown clearly in photographs- if you do not like wear on fabric and do not plan to reupholster please do not bid on this piece. The wear is consistent with age and use and I think it adds to the chair's charm. The chair is comfortable and tight. No odors. We have a Victorian. Oak( with an aged patina) Windsor comb back style Child's Potty Chair being offered for your consideration I believe it dates back the 1899- 1900 In addition to the medallion on the back are 2 cupid decals. One is in tact& the other is partially removed. The chair measures 19 1/2" from the floor to the top of the back. The seat is 9" from the floor. The arms are 15" high& the depth of the chair is 13" There is an enamel pot with the chair marked Czechoslovakia. I am not sure this is original to the chair. There are no slats on the bottom to accommodate a pot. It may have simply been placed or the floor. The chair is in excellent used condition. The glue line on the front of the seat is visible but not separated.

ANTIQUE CARVED WOOD PETITE FRENCH VICTORIAN ARM CHAIR SILK FABRIC SHABBY PAINT
We are pleased to offer this beautiful antique chair. The chair dates to the late 19th or early 20th century and has been restored. The chair features carved wood frame with French Victorian details. The chair has an ornate back with acanthus scrolls and flower medallion all in raised relief. The chair has sleek. Curved arms with wide, paw like arm rests. The back legs are straight and nondescript. The front legs have cabriole lines and large paw/claw feet with nice details. The front legs are on metal casters. The frame has been painted at some point(not by use) and the paint does have a"milk paint" look to it. The painting has been expertly done with a beautiful color palette which is neutral but very striking. The colors of paint are a very light coffee/cream tan with a darker, chocolate brown as contrast. The flowers in the ... morecenter back have a blue tone to them. The fabric has also been replaced at some point. A patterned and textured, dupioni silk has been used on the seat. It features a cream or light tan back ground with a raised, geometric pattern. The raised pattern has colors of dark chocolate, golden tan and medium golden brown. The fabric is accented with a decorative trim. The chair is quite beautiful. It is a more petite chair with a lower profile and was probably a ladies salon or parlor chair. It is in very good condition and it is very strong and sturdy. There is one small area of surface fraying to the silk in the front of the chair(picture 11) It has not evaded the body of the fabric and there are no holes. The fabric is slightly nubby in dupioni fashion. The chair measures 31.5" tall. It is 22.25" wide and 22.75" front to back. The seat height is 17" The seat is generous with a width of 16.75" and a depth of 20" Shipping via GREYHOUND to the station of your choice. Antique Doll High Chair Victorian Style 25”
You have the opportunity to own this Antique Doll High Chair Victorian Style 25” tall and 5”x 6” square. The tray is about 9” x 7 ¼” This a great example of quality craftsmanship. Made of jointed dowels. The entire chair has only 9 nails, six in the seat and three in the bottom of the tray. Two round head slot screws form the swivel for the tray. The back of the seat has two turned staves, a third is missing. While the design is fairly simple, the craftsmanship is of the highest quality. There are no cracks or splits in the wood.
