The drawers lock into place and are lined, wood on the outside. The top drawer has a key lock(not included) When you pull out the drawer, there is a leaver that you turn which unlocks the other drawers. The wardrobe side includes the hangers shown(5) and the top opens to ease in getting the hangers out. the metal slats for the hangers to slide out as well, however the right one is hard to push. Has a fabric cloth to cover the clothes from the drawers. This is a large heavy truck, but in pretty good shape for it's age and the number of trips it has taken over the years. The top(picture 6) shows the rip in the fabric. Has two tags on it. First is the Hartman Trunk co, Racine, WI. The other is on the corner and says Wasseman's, Grand Rapids, MI. That means this trunk went from the United States to Germany, then to Scotland and back to the United States. Measures 40" tall, 22" wide and 21 1/2" deep. Shipping is quoted with UPS. It measures 36 inches long by 24 in ches tall with the lid closed by 20 inches deep. It features a remova ble storage tray and more linens. Beddings. And clothing can be placed underne ath for conv enient additional hu ge storage. It is a wood structure trunk and frame with smooth me tal(black) and woven pattern metal riveted overlays with beautiful beading to ta ck in metals and curved and straight gorg eousl y grained wood slat s. Here's what I stated about it s condition: Metal overlay surfaces have been repainted and restored. Some scratches and scuffs marks on beautifully grained wood slats. Leather handle missing on left side. Flip up side locking latches both flip up into locking position. But only one catches to keep it lock closed and the other is missing its catch. Center locking latching closes in position but does not lock and there is no key. Interior lining shows foxing and staining and has some t ares due to great age. But smells clean with nice scent like cedar inside. Truly a rare beauty of extra large size that has great looks and craftsmanship on evident in these earlier era pieces of exceptional beauty. So you may want to grab it quick, before it is gone! Note: Not shipping overseas nor to Alaska on this one. Only to domestic United States. Antique Wooden Painted Nautical Sailors Fishing Chest Trunk Box 1800's Steamer
This is an AMAZING antique fishing chest. I think it's late 1800's maybe really early 1900's. when I purchased it there was a bunch of old salt water fishing hooks and a sting ray barb& other cool stuff in it! One of the almost completely deteriorated paper boxes of hooks read 1910 on it, so I know it's at least that old. There are awesome adjustable wooden cubby compartments on the inside& spots to put a rod on the inside upper lid. In the pictures I left some of the fishing stuff in there. But its cleaned out now. There are some amazing graphics on this chest. On the top of the chest is a nautical compass reading north east south and west, on the front under the latch(which is fully functional) are the initials F.D.JR. On the right side of the chest are three flags I'm not sure if these three flags identify the ... morearea in which it was made? maybe someone with nautical knowledge will know for sure. And on the left is an anchor with rope twisting around it. Im pretty sure these are all hand painted. Or super old decals. But I'm pretty sure there hand painted. The chest appears to have a sealant on the outside. Which I'm sure they would have done to help protect it from salt water. There are no major cracks in this chest. I have put no chemicals on it to clean it. Just a damp rag. Now a couple down sides to this beauty: the back hinges have rusted and broken.see pics) and on the sides it looks like there were a couple ropes screwed in to keep it on board? That are gone. And a few cracks on the bottom. The chest measures 22" long X 10 1/2" wide. And sits 8" tall. If there are any questions please feel free to ask& I will answer them best I can. The front latch haas no key the 2 sides flap locks work right side needs a little adjusting but it will close. DONNELLY ANTIQUES this hard to find dresser trunk does not have a makers name but it is still in nice condition. there are 3 drawers. 2 large and 1 small. and a compartment above them that long long has its cover that would have been held down by the to snaps on the leather straps. it has normal wear for a item of this vintage, solid shiny black bottom no rust with for caster wheels.the drawers are complete solid bottoms, lining is intact. all of the extertior locks work as designed snapping the trunk tight. the lock is broken but should be easy to replace. the trunk is 34" wide, 22" deep, 27" tall when closed.

Vintage Steamer Trunk FLEUR DE LIS Shabby Chic French Art Table Trunk REFINISHED
Gorgeous Fleur De Lis Trunk. Excellent Trunk to use as a coffee Table. End table, or as a blanket chest, under a window, or at the end of a bed! French inspired. The fleur de lis is painted and outlined with brass daisy oxford tacks. The entire top of the trunk is also outlined with the tacks. And the sides is accented with tacks. The tacks not only make the trunk more appealing. But also re-inforced it's strength as well! Although this is a medium size trunk(30in long x 16.5in and 14.5in tall) it is one of the well made and sturdiest trunks I have come across. When strpping the paper from the inside the wood underneath was stamped with a logo. Inside a diamond shape it said'the model brand' and also a co name, but all that could be read still was.ada bros. brodway' the rest of the name and address couldn't be made out, ... morevery unusual however, especially under the paper! The trunk has been placed upon wooden legs. This was done before I recieved the trunk, thought it was unique and the legs were well put on, so I left them as they were. The legs are screwed on from the inside so they are in no danger of coming off. Also if you are interested in using as a table, this makes the trunk even more like a table. A clear piece could be placed on top of the trunk. But also the trunk could be used as is for a table, as any roughing to the top would add the the shabby chicness, also the trunk has been clear coated. Very excellent condition other than normal issues due to age. The locking mechanism of trunk was removed somewhere slong it's journey. The latches are in good working condition. The strap in the front is missing. Could be replaced if desired. The hinge inside is still present. The inside has been re-lined with very very good high quality material from hancock fabrics. Two coordinating material were used. The materials were picked to compliment the outside of the trunk. Great French art inspired One Of a Kind Original Trunk! Vintage Steamer Trunk - estimated 1900 To 1950 - unrestored antique
You will find this to be a beautiful piece. The condition is a bit rough but as expected for an item that has been used extensively. Imagine this being loaded onto a train car in the early 1900's or a Cruise Ship in the 1950s. I consider it to be in working condition though since the hinges and latches still work. However the key is missing. Some of the leather straps are missing as well but can be replaced for a reasonable price. This would be perfect for use in your entryway. Gorgeous Unique& Rare Condition Antique Steamer Trunk Amazingly this is a steamer trunk that had never been painted. Also had embossed tin, and still had the beautiful green enamel paint intact that the embossed tin was originally painted with! Also the trunk still has both handles intact. Neither look like they have been replaced, and it still has its original tray Even more exceptional. The trunk has a working LOCK& KEY: even the bottom of the trunk is in totally blean unrusted almost perfect condition. Even has a labeled where it was shipped at least one time from Danville KY in the 1920's I would estimate however that the age of the trunk is more around the late 1800's The trunk has been thoroughly cleaned& conserved. The wood has been cleaned, taken back to its original color, and finished, the metal was cleaned as ... morewell The inside of the trunk was stripped of all the old paper. This is a Corbin Cabinet Lock Co steamer trunk from the early 20th century. Not sure of exact date. But railway tag is labeled 1935. Has owners initials painted on the side(G.U.W. as well as'Brooklyn, NY' Cast iron hasps are decorative and labeled'4' The lock is in very good condition and appear to have been hand finished with a technique resembling engine turning. Has several travel tags attached. Interior is cloth lined, the top tray has gone missing some time ago. This would make a great restoration project or it has plenty of character as is! All the leather straps are worn out. But all of the nails are there. Wood runners are in good condition as are the hardware. No Key. 1870's Dome Top Trunk Size: 28" wide. 18" tall, 15" deep front to back. A beautiful wooden dome top or barrel top trunk. Probably from the 1870's. Great looking trunk with beautiful dark pine and hardwood slats. Original hardware, including cast iron latches, bottom wheels, and with heavy duty corner bands. Entirely original condition with no modern upgrades to preserve character. A great collector's and decorator's item and will certainly be a conversation piece. It's very strong and a great size for lots of storage space. With a deep interior. This trunk was made in the late 1880's as determined by the style. The lid has a nice high rounded shape that used to accommodate ladies' hats. The early lithograph of a lady in a period hat in the lid is original. Original leather handles missing(many that you see today are reproductions) Decorative latches work well; key not included with lock. Provenance: purchased from a Philadelphia area antiques shop in the 1960's. Sold as authentic Victorian piece from the late 1800's. Many pieces from this era are known under different names: Saratoga trunks(for the vacation trunks ladies brought to resort town Saratoga. NY) Barrel Top or Barrel Stave trunks(because of the ribs that mimic a barrel) or Dome Top, Camelback, or Humpback for the curved lid. The two closest examples I've found both sold for $795. Although they had been refinished. To preserve the original finish and details, and in case a collector would like to refinish it himself, I haven't had anything done to it.

This is one of the most unusual and attractive antique steamer trunks I have found. Unusual design reinforced with multiple wood slats and copper detailing throughout. I acquired this particular trunk about 15 years ago and used it for awhile as an accent table with a glass top in my design studio. Although I am on the constant hunt for vintage trunks, this is one of the most unusual I have ever found and have held on to it for years awaiting another purpose. All wood construction with a multitude of wood slat reinforcements and copper straping with riveted joints throughout. Much of the original hardware. Including hinges, is intact but the front lock/latch ... moreand one side handle is missing. The interior is clean with remanants of an old paper lining that has been pealed away to reveal that the wood used in the making of the trunk was most likely recycled from antique wood crating. With one area showing an original stamp for the"American rubber company" I was surprised to see this and since this trunk is at least 100 years old, I think it is such an unusual and charming detail The trunk has probably had a coat of protective finish added to the exterior at some point and the wood has developed an aged and rich patina. There is a burn mark(see photo) on the left side. Indicating at some point in its history this trunk even endured some sort of fire, but is clean and undamaged otherwise. This trunk looks fantastic as is- I used it with a custom cut(very inexpensive) glass top for use as a coffee table. Either way. An absolutely stunning and historical addition to your design scheme! Antique Shwayder Bros. Samson Steamer Trunk with it's original inside tray. This trunk is estimated to be from the 1930's and is in very. Very good condition. Shwayder Trunk Co. originated in 1910 and the name was changed to Shwayder Bros. Inc. Samson in 1939. In 1965 the named changed to Samsonite. The trunk has it's original tray and they are both lined in it's original patterned paper. These trunks are hard to find with their original trays and also it has old newspaper from 1957 laying flat inside both the tray and the trunk; the paper all completely in tact with no tears and really neat old adds with the current news. A little extra for the trunks history. The tray does need a small repair on the front bottom where it has become separated in the center. I did get a picture of it and it is probably very easy to repair. ... moreIt has two old decals on each sie on the top that might have been added to it through the years or maybe they are original and also'460S' is printed on the bottom left. The handles on each side are leather and in extreme good condition. They have'SHWAYDER BROS. DENVER- DETROIT' imprinted on both and the handles are both very taut; not at all loose or streatched. It's like it was hardle ever picked up much with them and they are indeed original. The front handle is a heavy type of metal I think and is all in tact. The handle also has a definate'1930's style ornate-ness' to it. Very unique! The trunk It measures 30" in length, 16" width and 12" tall. Early 1900s Wardrobe Steamer Trunk - Complete - Great Condition!
This is an amazing early 1900s wardrobe steamer trunk. The exterior is black. And interior is a nice floral pattern. Fabric inside the drawers still has the wonderful blue and green shades in tact! Drawer fronts, ironing board, and hanging fabric have each faded to a pleasant neutral toned scheme. Comes complete with ironing board, iron holder at bottom with strap, adjustable bar to keep clothing in place, 3 drawers with original tie down ribbons in tact, bottom deep drawer with leather strap on one side, locking drawer bar with working lock and key, 8 various types of hangers, and a box for extra storage at the bottom of the hanging side of wardrobe. This wardrobe trunk is original. And has some scuffing on the outside and signs of wear on the inside. Hanging fabric is ripped at the top, as you can see in photos. Also, the two heavy duty ... morelatches are in wonderful working condition, but the lock on the outside is broken. Neither of the leather side handles remain. It has two markings- I think one from the maker an one from the shop that sold it. They read: Virginia Trunk&Bag Co. Petersburg, Virginia, USA and Waldenberger Harness& Trunk Co. Little Rock, Arkansas. Initials marked in faded red stenciled letters are WBR. Two remnants of travel labels or stickers remain. One names a Mrs. Jathrine Rand(could be Hand. Up for Auction is an ANTIQUE Vintage Steamer Black Metal Lined Wood TRUNK. It has Nice Metal corners and has a thin lining of metal over wood. Inside it is lined also. There is an insert that has makes a shelf. The bottom of the insert has detatched from the sides. See pictures. The wood is lined with blue and white paper. It has a lock by the Eagle Lock Company which was in business in the late 1800's and early 1900's. There is no key and the middle of the handle is missing. The trunk has the intials PTM on it. The metal is scatched. Warped and dinged from use and it is very old. The lining inside also has marks and is tearing from age. It also has rivots on the sides.
