One metal leg is slightly wiggly, the flathead screw needing to be tightened. The metal has a nice patina, and the glass balls are in good, crack free condition, but dusty/dirty with normal use scratches at bottoms. The wooden base is in good condition, again, dusty/dirty. At the top is a 4" diameter, rusty hardware piece for attaching the seat, with three screws, one is missing as there should be 4. The natural oak piano stool has a seat that measures 14 1/2" in diameter which is larger than most piano stool seats since this stool was cut down from a high back piano stool which always has larger seats. The adjustable piano stool seat has a height of 18" in the down position and adjusts up to 24" at it's highest. The legs are very sturdy not needing wiring like many turn-of-the-century piano stools. The clawfeet come with glass balls that are also in very good condition with no chips or cracks after many decades of use. Weighs 16 lbs. before packaging. This is a vintage piano stool swivel and height adjuster. These parts were cast in Meriden. Connecticut by the Charles Parker Company. Parker was a very old manufacturer of cast as well as other items. They had a large foundry so were able to make tons of different items. Their most famous item was a Parker shot gun, which is still sought after today. This adjuster is in fine condition and ready to go into you stool. If you want that original cast look, this part will be great. Includes the screws.

Small Round Wooden Piano Stool -Handmade - Salesman Sample??
I believe this is possibly a salesman sample because of the size. It is a two-tier piano stool with great detail to it. The wood is a reddish maple and the legs are spindle type. It measures 6" tall and the round top is 4 1/4" across. The top part actually unscrews too. Great shape with grains in the wood. It could also just be a larger doll size but I'm not sure. I believe this to be maple wood due to the smooth wood grain although I'm not positive. Beautiful craftsmanship and really solid. Stool measures 16 to 22 inches high and 13 inches square at the base of the legs. In great vintage condition. I believe this was made between 1870-1890 by Merrian. The top appears to have springs with stuffing inside that gives it a nice firm but comfortable feel. It doesn't go"flat" when pressing on it and it springs back fine. Wood legs are strong and secure. NO wood cracks, chips or missing pieces. The top embroidery is strong and secure. All fabric edge and bottom covering tacks/pins are secure. The top fabric has a few small and light pulls here and there that isn't a big deal. The wood shows some small scattered scuffs and dings here and there. There's a very light 1/2" brown spot on the top and a couple light spots on the bottom fabric I'll let you tidy up. One leg may be a wee bit short and need a small shim to stabilize it. This piano bench was made by H. Holtzman& sons in the early 20 th century. We believe the stool is made of cherry. The stool is 18 ½ inches high and when raised 22 inches high. The round seat portion is 14 ½ inches in diameter. The seat raises with ease. It has hand turned legs and metal claw feet. The stool has been overhauled mechanically and refinished. Some of the replacements screws are phillips head. The seat is red. Tan and black. Everything works properly and we did not identify any damage. Age is late 1800's to early 1900's. 19" fully down-24" fully up to where the threads come undone so about 23" of safe usable height. Seat is 14 1/2" diameter and dished in the middle for comfort. Signed The Chas Parker Co Meriden Ct. Leg spread is 14" across the closest feet. 18 3/4" across the farthest. Glass/crystal balls are loaded with air bubbles and in good shape. Threads in the iron mounting mechanism look good and are not worn out and it adjusts nicely. Wood could be oak,mahogany or walnut. Someone put the old dark varnish on it many years ago and i just can't tell. A joint or two are slightly loose but not enough to pop anything apart and do any gluing. The top round board the legs are fastened to was cracked but I opened it up some and worked glue down in it and properly clamped it so it ... moreis sound and solid. Look like there was some wear spots to the wood before they put the old dark varnish on it and that old varnish does have wear at quite a few places. I am going to remove the 4 screws that hold the iron to the bottom of the seat to hold the box size down for shipping. I like to put a dab of wood glue on the threads when i put these old items back together.Overall a good looking sound and solid stool. The one picture with the seat looking crooked is because I have it screwed all the way up. Here's a sturdy Tama throne. No rinky-dink gear here. Plus. It's a comfortable bicycle-like seat. Excellent! Don't see these pop-up"used" in this condition that much. Here's the scoop. As for the condition. Check out the pic.s. From 10 feet away, it's nearly impossible to tell the throne is used. The seat is outstanding and chrome/steel looks great- just a few small marks/scratches. The cushion has a small dent on the side, from leaning against a shelf while in storage. And, there is a dime-size dent at the base of the throne. No big deal, really. So, since it's used, I'll be conservative and give this throne an overall 8.5 out of 10 rating. A cleaning and hitting it with some Old English scratch remover in the dark finish will make it look good again. It is heavy. it has the dings and scrapes of 100 years or so of normal use, but seems very sturdy. from the underneath you can see a crack across 1 disc, i have not tried to repair, and it seems an old crack and shouldnt affect use. can be raised or lowered.highest is about 20.5' tall, that is the point at which i saw a thread begin.lowest about 18.5" tall.seat is 14.5" across. i think there is a newer nail in one of the claw feet, see pic.as for shipping i dont have a box yet so am estimating about 75.00 to west coast, about 30.00 east coast and somewhere between the 2 for everywhere else. please wait for an invoice at the end of the auction so i can determine exact shipping.
