Crafted during the first years of the 19th Century. It has a wonderful black paint over another layer of reddish orange, probably also a layer over the original and currently unknown color. The back of the chair has a graceful bow, carefully grasping each through-tenoned splinted spindle before diving through the single solid plank pine seat. The seat is heavily patinated, with deep grooves and wear from decades of active use. The entire chair sits over four splayed bamboo carved legs, all four of which tenon through the plank seat before being secured with a splint, each held firmly and perfectly in place with a bamboo carved H-stretcher. This is a most charming chair, in excellent condition with wonderful patina and character throughout- the early painted surfaces are probably not the original layers, but seem to protect earlier layers beneath, these quite possibly the earliest surfaces. A wonderful find for those that are passionate about fine windsor chairs. Measurements: Seat 13.5" wide x 14.5" deep. The seat sits 16" from the ground and the back of the seat is 33.5" high. Condition Report: Paint worn throughout. Probably not the original surfaces. Deep groves and losses in the plank seat. Chips and abrasions throughout. One nail, appears to be modern, on side of chair stabalizing hoop back. Plank seat split with a butterfly joint securing seat from beneath and two screws locking it in place. Chair is structurally strong, but could possibly be too weak to use functionally as a chair. Please review the images in the slideshow for a full overview of condition.

1970 Mid Century Modern Milo Baughman Chrome & Bamboo Writing Desk Console Table
Chromed steel sled based desk with parquetry bamboo covered casement and inset black glass writing surface. Has chrome pulls on the pair of drawers. Designed by Milo Baughman circa 1970. Desk is in overall very good condition but does show some light wear that would be commensurate with age. The bamboo parquetry desktop is actually a bit more whitewashed in color than depicted in the pictures here due to the lighting. The chrome sled base surfaces are all still very shiny. Will have few minor scratches and dings, and have little(if any) oxidization. It does look as if a bamboo strip that was originally on the front edge of the desk that encased the glass was removed to fit a larger piece of smoked glass in the space that would extend to the far edge of the desk instead of the bamboo fully encasing the glass. Vintage mid century art deco industrial metal bakelite bankers desk light lamp
For sale is a metal and bakelite industrial Atlas art deco bankers desk lamp that was made sometime during the mid century or a little earlier. It is in excellent condition and measures about 11 inches high. 13 inches wide, and about 7 inches along the side. The whole light is a very dark brown(almost appearing black) color with the shade and neck of light being metal and the base being bakelite. As o can see from the pictures the shade and neck are in great shape without any dents that I could find and only very minor scratches and discolorations expected of something of this vintage. The bakelite base is free of any chips or cracks and has a place for resting pens and pencils and sections for putting clips and other office things. This desk was purchased in Switzerland in the 1970's and brought over to the US during a move. It is believed to be either Scandinavian or German in origin. It is a composite shelf with metal legs adjustable desk with slide out shelf to increase work area. Very interesting style. It was originally all white and was painted years ago. The paint has some wear and there is a chip in the slide out shelf. The chip is around a button the purpose of which is not known. Perhaps it was to limit the distance the shelf would slide. This is an unusual Atomic Desk/casual table. The top is a solid single piece of Teak. 27" by 63" by 2" thick. The desk is 29" high. Very cool to find a slab that big! The swooping atomic legs are also from teak. There is a built in shelf at each leg. I have had this piece in my collection for more than ten years, and have used it as a desk. a few minor water marks on the top, but can easily be buffed out. I have priced it to move as I am downsizing. NOTE: there is a crack in the top typical of large slabs. See photos. A Real gem here. Entirely untouched. Original condition 1970s Executive Desk by the Jasper Desk Co. Solid wood. I'd call it Cherry. But I don't know the exact wood used. The wood has a super flame grain to it, and the desktop has been exceptionally well preserved by the original glass top(with 8 small original clear rest pads so the glass doesn't scratch the wood top) still present. Glass is perfect. Desk is excellent overall. Clean and only honest, vintage wear. Little bumps around where the chair might hit in the leg area. Someone cut a small hole just under the lip on the left side to run wires through(see pic) You can only see it when on the ground looking up at that side. and this may come in useful for you now. A vintage. I Don't Know What It Is" novelty desk item.looks to be lucite, but can't be sure. The thing, 3 3/4" wide by 5" long and 2 1/2" high, is a real puzzle for me. There are 546 plated pins with flat bottoms that will all release at the same time when it is turned over. Vintage Fluorescent Desk Lamp Brown Metal Retro Mid Century cloth cord WORKS
Up for auction is a vintage fluorescent desk lamp. It's all metal. Brown and uses one fluorescent bulb. It does work and the bulb is included with it. It is about 11 1/2" tall. Top is 20" x 5" x 1 3/4" Base is 10" x 5 1/2" x 1 3/4" It's in very good condition. No cracks or breaks. Some scuffs and scratches. Bottom has felt on it. It's all intact but a small piece is starting to pull away. The cord has a spot where the cloth is worn away, but no wires are exposed. The plug is missing the little cardboard piece that covers the end. A little tape residue on top. I didn't want to mess with it. I'll leave that to the expert.
