It has three small pull out drawers on the inside with the middle drawer having a lift up mirror and there are three larger drawers below the desk area. The inside of the desk also has a couple of cubby shelves. If you look below the second shelf you can see someone has cut a small hole to pass cords through. I could not find any markers markings but I am guessing from other items in the house of this estate sale it is Danish and probably from the 60's or 70’s. It is of smaller proportions making it ideal for a smaller room. The approx. measurements are: 3’ 6½” tall/ 2’ 11” across the front and is 1’ 5¼” wide. There are a couple of very small little marks or bumps but nothing major and overall it is in Very Good used condition. This Would Be A Very Stylish Addition To Any Home! Walnut& Maple Possibly Rosewood also Desk in a box Large Excellent item. Please read entire listing. Closed: 34.5" wide. 21.5" deep, 45.5" tall When opened: 69" wide. 29" deep(desk folded out) Desk section 52" wide. A great unmarked piece certainly danish in design. This cabinet opens to reveal a fold out desk top that is very large and it truly exceptional. Lots of storage. Lots of space. The finish on the outside is oiled walnut or possibly a rosewood as it has dark streaks throughout. What makes this model different from others is what has been done to it. Not only have we finished it making the condition very good though minor imperfections still exist. But we have remedied a common fault with all Desk-In-A-Box models. Over time the weight of the swing out doors takes it's toll on main unit resulting ... morein the doors dropping low and hitting the legs of the unit. This is not from the hinges coming loose but from the sides of the main unit being over time stretched off the base. To remedy this blocks were added underneath. This way when you close it as you usually do with your feet. It snaps shut like it did when it was original and empty(devoid of weight) We also added adjustable feet so that you can get it precisely level once it is loaded so the doors do not swing back and forth as often happens. This is a very good unit now and will satisfy. This has a larger table top than most on offer and quite a large drawer below the desk, coupled with all the storage. This is an impressive unit that sits humbly until needed. The shipping cost covers blanket wrap to most Eastern States. West Coast buyers will pay about $150 more. There is no brand name visible on the desk. But it is a fine example of the tanker type desk, such as those made by Steelcase, McDowell& Craig or Shaw-Walker. The desk features: Black Steel construction Grey/Silver Steel trim/handles/hardware"Wood" Formica laminate surface on top of desk Steel tapered legs/feet. 6 Drawers: 3 left side drawers Wide center drawer 2 right side drawers: one regular drawer and one large file cabinet drawer with insert to hold hanging files 2 pullout writing flap tables(one with pull-knob. One without) Lock on center drawer(no key) The drawers easily open and close. DIMENSIONS: 30W x 60L x 28.5H. The ... moredesk is in unusually good condition- the"wood" surface has no cuts or nicks. Just one small circular(very slight) discoloration in the far right corner where a lamp was attached for a number of years- I have tried to show in the photograph but it is barely visible. There is also some wear at the bottom opening between the drawers. From where a chair would have rubbed against over the years, but nothing that a fresh coat of paint couldn't solve. Likewise the minimal nicks in parts of the sliver trim- I have tried to show all of this in the photos. Overall. The condition of the desk is very good and needs only a little work to refurbish. Labels or manufacturer tags to identify it as a production piece. Just a perfect sized and proportioned desk! Not too big or to small! Constructed of solid mahogany legs and drawer fronts. And solid cased topsides, with beautiful veneered top. This desk was fully refinished last year, so the condition is near excellent showing just some minimal light wear from use. Mid-century roll top desk in decent shape. Only major issues are that the original drawer and cabinet tab pulls were sheared off and ring drawer pulls added at some point. And there is a chip out of the wood on the bottom right of the roll top. Beyond that, there is the usual amount of wood damage that comes with an item of this vintage.
