Vtg 1950's Mid Century Modern FOLDING Portable SEWING MACHINE TABLE Desk
Here is a vintage folding sewing table I was told it is from the 1950's. The table sections are made of wood(wood material) The folding legs are steel. It is in good condition with typical signs of use and aging for the vintage, some scratches and nicks, the wood is a little dry but solid with only a few areas of light chipping. Overall length of the table is about 38" it is about 21" at the widest point. From the floor to the top table section the measurement is about 29.5" to the lower section it is about 26" The top table section is hinged with a cutout that measures about 7" x 2 5/8" wide. Collapsed down the table is about 6" high. When the table is folded all the way down for storage or transport it measures about 6" high. Today we are listing a rare& hard to find industrial metal roll top desk. It is an Art Metal of Jamestown NY marked desk with its original Art Metal key. The desk is very sophisticated with great design.Great lines and great attention to detail& is heavy steel with brass accents. It is better looking in person and the desk& roll are in perfect condition with bends or dents(the pics of the roll thru some optical effect look bent or odd, they are not& are straight as the day it was made) The roll top slides and works as it should and when lowered, it locks and locks all the drawers at the same time. The top section has a great old green writing surface, 2 holes/ inkwells in the middle for your ink bottles, an interior drawer and pigeon holes and a brass rack for papers or something on each side of the interior, plus about 8 ... moreclips for your old rubber stamps. Under the top section there are 2 different sized, big slide out shelves with same green material on them for your typewriter or whatever with brass ends. There is a center drawer under the top section and 3 graduated size drawers,with brass handles,down the left side.All of the drawers have their old red painted interiors. The exterior finish on the desk is the original old faux grained wood finish(it would be a fantastic candidate to be stripped to bare metal/ just steel with a flat clear on it)The finish has some honest wear, but is perfectly used for, the urban setting. Mid Century Modern Picture Frame Black & Brass Easel Desk Top 50s Made in Korea
This frame has been in my family since the 50s or longer. Until recently. It held a 1940s photo. There is an original paper tag on the back stating that it was made in Korea. The tag also has the number 93857 on it. The inside measurement, where the glass meets the brass ribbing, is 6-3/4 tall x 4-3/4 wide. The outer measurements are 8-3/8 x 6-3/4. The back is covered with a velvet-like material and it goes up around the sides. I believe the flat black on top is metal. It is in a thin layer and you can see this in the second last photo Excellent condition with no dents or loss to the finish. This belongs on a George Nelson. Home office desk from Herman Miller I have been sitting on this. Thinking I would find an incomplete home office desk, circa 1948. Well those things are pretty rare. And so is this. I have been waiting for two years to make a complete desk. But don't have the top, legs, or the left side unit. This came from a Herman Miller dealers closeout. And was on a plain desk type return. The desk return looked homebrew. So I am selling just this and a pendaflex hanging file in another auction. Te desk is so hard to find in the Perspecta line. Especially in this condition! Retro 1960s. Walnut construction with rosewood sculpted pull on the top right drawer pull. Great size desk with a lot of storage. Three large drawers on the left side provide ample storage space. Top drawer features a pencil/ pen tray inside. Fantastic from all sides. Mid Century Modern Mcm Vintage Floating Teak Bar Desk Wall Cabinet
Here is a great bar cabinet- I guess you could use it as a desk or also storage if you like! It hangs on a cleat that you would attach to the stud of your wall- very easy to do! Its made of teak and is very solid. The grain of the wood is spectacular- and moves horizontally across the front of the door.it shows little wear for its age- I have pictured the top and sides for you to see. It does have a mirror across the back inside. That was once glued to the back of the cabinet, that is loose. There is a glass shelf inside- it holds your glasses, and also holds the mirror in place when being used. There is a slight imperfection on top of the cabinet that I pictured. But no major scratches at all! It measures 33 13/16" long. 16 1/4" high, and 14 5/8" deep.
