Up for auction is a cube style clock by Benchmark. It is from the Mid Century Modern era and in great shape. It keeps good time and runs on one AA battery. You unscrew the base and then slide the face with the battery attached on the backside on a piece of wood. The wood case shows minimal vintage wear and overall it is in very good condition. It is a gorgeous vintage, Mid Century Modern'Reflector' desk lamp, M ost probably manufactured i n the late 1940s or early 1950s, I believe it is attributed to Mitchell Bobrick. Both the shade& bulb receptacle, are made of fiberglass(moss) like material. Make sure you check out my other vintage items! The lamp's measurements are: about 22 inches high, and about 20 inches at widest point. The metal base is about 7 inches diameter, and the moss receptacle is about 7 inches wide. The fiberglass shade, is about 17 inches in diameter. This nice retro Eames/Bobrick era reflector desk lamp, is in very good condition. The only things I would mention, would be a bit of tarnishing on parts of the metal base. Also a bit of fuzziness in some areas of the fiberglass(moss) ... morematerial. But overall it really doesn't affect the beauty of the lamp. The pictures are a good part of the description. We are pleased to offer this unique. Rare, Mid Century desk or entry table. Dating to the late 1960s or early 1970s, this beautiful desk drew its inspiration from the"Rat Pack" era of Hollywood. The desk was manufactured by School Field Industries and it is from their"Swingers Collection" School Field produced ultra modern, painted furniture(Swedish/Danish style) and their quality was very nice. The desk is truly a modular piece. It features two, saw horse style, wooden legs. The legs sit under the table top by fitting into custom slots. If needed, the legs are easily removed. The top section of the legs are completely hinged and the legs fold flat. The desk top piece is a composite wood with a laminate covering. It has very ornate brass hardware and drawer pulls. There are three generous drawers on the front face. The ... moreside drawers are smaller in width than the middle. This is a very unique and very nice desk/table. It retains the original white painted finish. It is in very good condition with some minor aged character. The paint is chipped and has peeled in some of the areas on the legs. The top has a small scratch. None of these are distracting and, if you do not want the aged character appearance, you can repaint quite easily. There is one drawer that has interior cracking of the composite. It is not seen from the outside and it is not affecting the function of the drawer(photo 11) In general, the desk is in good condition and is fully functional. It is well made and it is heavy. Vintage Danish Modern Lovig Dansk Rosewood Desk Pleased to offer you an excellent example of a Danish Modern Design Classic. This Lovig Dansk L shaped desk is a very rare rosewood example. This is fresh from a local estate where it was in a private study and the top was protected by a custom cut piece of glass. This desk is in amazing condition! The frame is very solid and sturdy. The partner side of the desk features a bookshelf for storage and a mirrored bar that is accessable via a locked rosewood door(still retains original key) The top has a solid rosewood sculpted tray around the edges. Beautiful mid-century Wood School Desk - Sturdy and Refinished
This item was a rescue from a local flea market. It was an ugly blue and in sad shape but the potential was all there. For those areas I could not glue I used'L' brackets and hid them well. I stripped the metal hardware and put a clear coat over bare metal on those which creates a nice contrast with the wood and black paint. I painted the chair black leaving the seat and the desktop off to be stained and sealed. I soaked the screws in a derusting bath and put it all back together. The piece is very clean and sturdy. I painted the top of the bolts black for more contrast. Its a little overkill but I really enjoy the small details. This is a solid beautiful piece suitable for use or decoration. Iconic Mid-Century Modern George Nelson for Herman Miller Tambour Roll-Top Desk This is your chance to get this rare and stylish centerpiece for your office! A very rare find. This desk is in good condition for it's age. This is a circa 1950s desk designed by the late great George Nelson for the Herman Miller Company. The desk is large and in charge measuring 54" wide, 34" tall and 30" deep. The desk is has a nice work surface with slight angle down toward the front with 2 20 3/4" storage draws with compartments. There is file storage in the back behind the work surface. The whole thing is covered by the roll-top tambour wood cover that cleverly conceals the entire surface when desk is not in use, providing a beautiful cover. The top slides with some slight resistance and could probably use some waxing. The desk is ... moredusty and could use a cleaning and the wood could use treatment for some water spots and minor discoloration. There are no breaks or cracks in the wood and the mechanism is intact to move the top across and roll it back. There is some scratches to the back of the desk sides and a dent underneath(pictured) The chrome base with 4 leveling feet appears in good shape. The desk is heavy and solid. The desk is lockable when the top is closed however it does not come with the key and the lock is in the locked position so the top does not pull quite all the way down over the front due to the lock(see picture of lock) It would not be difficult to have this serviced by a lock smith and have a key made. This is a must-have for any mid-century modern collector and a rare find! I can provide more pictures upon request. No reasonable offers refused so don't hesitate to make an offer! This impressive and beautiful desk and cabinet unit features a minimal. Modern design. It was made by Hugh Acton of Birmingham, Mich. Hugh Acton is a modern renaissance man, nationally recognized as a furniture designer, artist, inventor, athlete and philosopher. His pieces are treasured by collectors and artists alike. There are two work surfaces, a bulletin board, multiple drawers, and lots of cabinet space. There are also areas to display awards, curios, pictures, etc. The footprint of the unit looks like a"T" with the base of the"T" being the main desk area. The main desk area measures 38" W x 90" L x 29 3/4" T and about 1 1/2" thick. On the left side are a supply drawer and a file drawer. Vintage TEAK Desk Mantel CLOCK Danish Modern Stile Craft Mid Century Vintage teak wood mantel or desk clock by Stile Craft. Nice. Simple Danish Modern style, clock is made of a solid block of teak wood, and measures approximately 9” long, 4” tall, and 2” thick. It appears to have once been electrified, and has since been modified to use a AA battery operated movement, accessible via a removable teak back panel. Back is also stamped with the number 249. Clock runs great and keeps good time. Brass hands show a little wear. But otherwise clock is in excellent condition for its age, and is offered with no reserve. VINTAGE PORTABLE NORELCO DESK LAMP Mid Century MOD 1960's Gooseneck ~ Works
From the same estate I am pleased to offer you this 1960's Norelco Desk Lamp. Works well with two light settings. Overall good condition with a couple of scuffs on the shade and a couple spots of missing paint on the base. And a small area of rust but can be cleaned. It measures 14 1/2" tall fully extended, the base measures 3 1/4" across. Please look at the photo's as they described it better than I can. It still has original labels on the bottom. There is a portion of a sticker on top- Capital Airlines Viscount powered by Rolls Royce" the sticker shows wear and some scribbling on it. Light bulb receptacles look clean. But I do not have a bulb in order to test it. So sold as is. Great prop, art deco decoration, etc. Measures about 20" long x 11" high and the base is 10" wide x 5.5" deep. Yellow sticker under the top notes that it is Underwriter's Laboratories inspected issue 13249.
