Vintage Herman Miller Eames Executie Leather Chair (Brown)
Originally $4995. I paid $1800 for this chair last year. I was told this chair has been sitting in a small town bank for over 10 years. Except for some minor leather scratches/cracks on arm rests. This top of the line leather chair feels great. No modern product can compare. The height of the chair is adjustable. All 5 wheels are working perfectly fine. Amazingly, the cushion is still firm. One of the things I really like about this chair is the depth of the seat. It is deep enough so I don't feel like I might slip out of the chair anytime(unlike some of the modern day design) I am moving oversea and unfortunately it is too costly to ship it. Up for sale is a great 3 piece George Nelson designed for Herman Miller walnut veneered vanity and dressers. They are all 18 1/2" deep and 29 3/4" high. The smaller dresser is 34" wide and the longer one is 56 1/4" wide. The vanity is 30" wide. These pieces are over 60 years old and have a very nice patina. They have been gently cleaned. The cabinet cases have scratches and indentations. The center divider on the larger cabinet is cracked. The vanity is faded inside and the 24" fluorescent fixture needs to be replaced. It provides power but doesn't light the bulb. The back of the vanity has a split but it really doesn't affect anything. The vanity hangs between the two dressers and could be removed if you just wanted to use the dressers. It rests on the cabinet and hangs on 2 screws. Which were probably ... morereplaced. The larger dresser has 4 drawers and a 2 shelf cabinet the shelves with tapered ends. There is a foil tag in the smaller dresser with 4 drawers. One label is almost impossible to read, but in sideways light I can make out, Herman Miller- zeeland michigan" and above that the word: Designs" 2nd label partially torn, has numbers on it. See photos of silver label, hard to read, but definitely there. Chair is sturdy and comfortable. Wood is in good shape. But has some wear. There are some shallow scratches here and there on the seat and back, a small water mark, a very small edge chip on the back and seat. Chair sits well, the back moves with your back, a very clever design. Measures 26 1/2 inches from the floor to the top of the back. I am selling these 4 chairs as a lot 2 orange and 2 white. They are not marked but I believe they are attributed to Herman Miller. They are used and have scuffs and nicks also. On of the white ones has a small stress crack on the top in the back please see pictures for condition. Vintage 1979 Eames Lounge Chair by Herman Miller #1
Vintage 1979 Herman Miller Eames lounge chair. Classic black leather on rosewood. The wood portion of the chair has no cracks or large scratches though it does have small dings and wear along the exposed edges. The leather cushions are still soft and have no holes, tears, or significant wear, even on the armrests. The metal base has all five original"Insulated Domes of Silence" and lots of wear marks along the edges of the black coating. The chair twirls around nicely. I have not opened the cushions but they have held their shape very well and don't have that squished, deflated look that happens to old couches. However, the plastic/vinyl bottom of the seat cushion has a crack at one corner. I unartfully repaired it with tape to protect the cushion when I slid it back onto the clips on the wood shell but I'm sure someone ... morewho knows what they are doing can easily patch it using the proper materials. The chair is one of two originally purchased in 1979 by my father. Alas the sales papers are long gone but it was from an Herman Miller/Eames furniture dealer in Southern California. This chair was in his home office and rarely used which is why it is in such nice condition. I am also auctioning off the one he had at his work office which is very nice but has more signs of use. I can either disassemble the chair and ship it to you or am happy to pack it up whole for a freight shipper. Local pickup would be wonderful. Product Very elegant. Previously purchased in the 50's 60's by Kanawha Valley Bank(retains ownership label) Appears to be Stainless Steel polished and not chrome. Very high end table unmarked assumed to be Knoll or better. Note the corners of the frame are welded then polished so there is no seam- only high end furniture had this aspect performed. Was in Managers waiting office. 30" square and 20.5" high. The steel frame has 3/4" thick square bar- hallmark of Knoll Design, others produced them with 1" bar. Top is 3/4" thick solid wood with undercoating and quality walnut laminate top that looks excellent. Each leg has a black foot in it- all are present. Condition Frame is near flawless. EAMES RARE WALL-SAVER H-base w/ glides extended rear leg for Herman Miller Chair
One(1) authentic vintage EAMES Herman Miller rare wall-saver H-base with glides. Suitable for Eames Herman Miller chairs with narrow shock mount configuration. The rear legs extend a bit further back than regular H-bases(approx. 22.5" from front to rear leg. Compared to about 18" for a standard H-base) which prevent the backs of your Eames chairs from rubbing up against the wall(hence, the"wall-saver" name) keeping both your wall and chair in optimum condition. Wall-saver H-bases were special order items and are now relatively rare. Overall excellent vintage condition with typical rust and oxidation. 2x Vintage Original 1961 HERMAN MILLER Eames Mid-Century "LA FONDA" Chair Shells
Set of two(2) vintage. Original(1961) and rare mid-century Herman Miller Eames"La Fonda" chair shells(no bases) being sold in as-found, unrestored condition; the fiberglass portion of the chair shell has no cracks or chips, but is missing the original shock mounts and needs a thorough cleaning(please note that all of the shells in my possession also have 5 very small holes around the shock mounts(visible within the pics) and I expect that these are original to the manufacturing(possibly as vents) but can make no guarantees of that; the fabric is intact, has no tears, but is dirty; the foam appears to have hardened. The seats can certainly be used as they currently are, but could be restored wonderfully if so desired. These chairs were originally produced in very limited quantity for the"La Fonda Del Sol" restaurant in ... moreNYC, and enjoyed a brief commercial production run thereafter.
