Amazing 100% Original Pair 1970s Henredon Barrel Back Velour Velvet Chairs VTG
These chairs were made by The Schoonbeck company in 1979 on behalf of and with the Henredon Fine Furniture label. The Schoonbeck company was contracted by Henredon to produce their highest quality line of furniture. The Schoonbeck Company closed their doors in 1980. The other name on the label is Colby's. Colby's was a prominent high end furniture store on Chicago's north shore that was credited with first displaying furniture in room settings. Colby's closed their doors in 1991. Armchairs. Recliners, rockers, side chairs, upholstered chairs The chairs are in beautiful 100% original condition. These were an estate sale find. I'm told they sat under plastic their entire life in a room that was rarely used. As stated in the condition there are no flaws whatsoever. The color is best described as peach. But there are flavors ... moreof both rose and pink depending on the light and the brush of the fabric which is pristine. Very soft. Luxurious, and comfortable. Tufted back and sides. All buttons tight and as originally intended. The chairs swivel 360. Rock, and recline. The structure and the mechanical mechanisms are all perfect. Solid and well made chairs to last a life time. Included are the four original armchair slip covers as well. The chairs measure 31 w x 32 d x 34 h but would require more space to rock. Recline, and swivel. These really are outstanding. Henredon End Table with Glass Top - EXCELLENT CONDITION - Timeless Style
Up for sale is a gorgeous end table by Henredon who is a very fine quality furniture maker in North Carolina that opened in 1945. The proportions are quite elegant. The slender fluted legs are feminine while the boxy functional top is masculine. Put together they make for a very attractive combination that will never go out of style. This piece will likely be around longer than anybody that reads this listing. It is heirloom quality. While nothing used is perfect the condition is remarkable and borderline pristine. It still has the original metal buttons on the feet. I am not sure how old it is and cannot find another one like it but I am guessing 1970's. The identification marks on the bottom are shown in a photo. Please let me know what you find out if you research it. For your consideration a beautiful long dresser made by Henredon. The model is CHARLES X. It is blonde burled ELM? I believe. Blonde block design with small knots. Gold tone hardware. Drawers are all wood. No particle board anywhere. Some of the drawers also have dividers. It's marked charles X on drawer inside. The back is also numbered and has the name HENREDON. It measures 74 inches long 34 1.2 inches high 19 inches deep. It is in euc. There is a minor amount of wear on back corner edge. see pic. Very heavy and high quality piece 12 drawers!
