I am not a furniture dealer so I will describe this set to the best of my knowledge and am glad to answer any other questions you may have. This set was in my grandmothers house since I was very young. I am now 49. That is all I know about the age. We were never allowed to even sit on it back then. So the 3 years at my home, in a room we rarely use are all the wear there is. Minor surface scratches on the wood, and light wear on the fabric. When I got the set, the foam in the cushions was dry rooted. I had the covers dry cleaned and the foam replaced by a professional. The couch spring area in the center, seemed to droop, so it was repaired. Still has all original springs, ... moreetc. everything was held in by nails and some had started to back out. So repair consisted of putting everything back in place. The staples putting the fabric cover back over the bottom are partially new. None of this can be seen unless you look underneath. The sleek legs are slightly flared and are finished in a black gloss paint. The curved hand rests are in Brazilian Rosewood with a fabulous grain. The chair has new fabric and a very thick seat cushion foam. The re-upholstery was done professionally. The fabric is a in a red and gold stripe and some fabric sections have been set at an angle for contrast in pattern. The fabric is a dual texture. I found this old chair in the attic about 1970. And it was very old then, but I saw that it had good bones. We toook it to the upholstery shop, they put in new springs, new cushioning, covered it in a beautiful floral olive green and gold brocade, light cream background, with nice trim, front and back, painted the chair white and added gold accents. The last photo is of the bottom, showing what great shape it is still in. Although it has a few surface scuffs, it is comfortable to sit in!

Beautifully Preserved Antique Framed Louis XV Bergere Style Chair. Frame is most likely Turn of the Century(1880's-1920's) w/ elaborate French style carvings on all 4 legs. Seat frame, and arms. Beautifully carved floral motif on front center of seat frame, with leaves extending horizontally towards the 2 front legs. The front Cabriole legs are adorned on top with swirling scrolls and finished on the base/feet with whorls. The sides of the 2 front legs are carved in a'la feuille godronnee' style(pieces of leaves or flowers that fold naturally) that continue up the leg connecting to the seat molding on the sides. The rear legs are carved identically to the front. The back molding has the same curved style, but does not have any carved motifs. Antique French Primitive BOX Chair - French Art Deco period - 1930 - (seat opens
Very Unique Estate Find Item. It is a primitive chair(I would say large doll size) that has a hidden compartment in it's seat. It lifts up to reveal a large opening for a zillion of things to hide. These French antique art deco period( 1930s) doll furniture are so beautiful. It is made with handsome dark hand carved wood and if you look close you can see all of the brass findings on all of the corners. Edges and top of the piece. It is hinged with ornate hinges. It measures 12" High(from the bottom to the top of the back) and is 8" wide x x" long. From seat to the bottom of the legs it measures 5" Inside compartment is 2" high x 6" square.
