Cabriole legs, carved feet and beautifully ... morecarved across the front of the seat as well as the backrest with a shell and flower motif as shown. These two chairs are in very nice condition for their age as represented with multiple pictures. The chairs are both tight and sturdy with strong, tight rush bottom seats that were probably replaced in the latter 20th century. The chairs each stand 38 inches tall to the top of the back and measure 21 1/2 inches wide by 22 inches front to back. The seats are 15 inches in height and are 20 1/2 inches wide by 18 1/2 inches, front to back. The back rest and across front of the seats on the chairs are beautifully carved and appear to have hand turned stretchers. These chairs appear to be made of walnut, with rush bottom seats. There is a delightful Louis VX influence to the design of this wonderful pair of antique French country chairs and are a terrific buy, ready for use in your home or place of business. The cushions are removable. Without the cushions the chairs show off a wicker pattern.the chairs are in good condition with minor wear along feet. Back, and arms. One chair needs to be repaired. The wicker is falling off under the cushion(see pictures) Some cushions are missing buttons as well. Also there is one stain on the table and some minor scratches and marks Overall this is a great set.
