A great Central California barn find. Mid century modern Drexel 4' round dining table. It is stamped both"Drexel" and"2-2-55" on the bottom(indicating manufacture in 1995. It is priced so low because(as you can see from photos) it has a lot of cosmetic wear and tear. If you are willing to refinish. Antique Drexel Olde Salem Pineapple Post Full Bed Gorgeous Mahogany 4 Pc
This auction is for one beautiful antique Drexel Pineapple Post double bed. From the Olde Salem Group. Included in this sale are the headboard, footboard and two side rails. The photos that show a lighter colored wood were taken in direct sun and although it gives a better idea of the areas of distress, the two close-up photos of the pineapple posts are a more accurate representation of the depth and shade of mahogany finish. All the joints are solid and stable but there is some cosmetic distressing that I have not addressed in any way because what I do might conflict with what the new owner's preferences in terms of cosmetic restoration. I have also not attempted to wash or clean the bed in any way since I acquired it. For the same reasonss. The distressing that can be seen in the photographs on the headboard and footboard is only on ... morethe surface. There are no deep gouges. No deep scratches or missing pieces of veneer. The surface finish has been distressed and in one larger spot, worn away down to the level of the wood but not below or into it. On one of the side rails there are some significant patches of missing veneer. This can be either totally restored by replacing the veneer. Or just by staining and sealing the wood that was under the veneer. The other side rail does not have missing veneer. The chairs have now been cleaned, restored and re-strengthened/reglued and repaired at the joints and rungs of the underside. This is a beautiful matching pair of signed Drexel Heritage upholstered lounge chairs. They have original yellow crushed velvel upholstery. They measure 28" wide, 25" deep, 41" high at the back and 15" high seats. They have nice slender backs, pull over headrest covers at the top and snap tie accents along the skirt. They are in excellent original condition and have a few holes along the edges of the backs. No other rips or damage and were from an original owner who had a smoke and pet free home. I have a Drexel Campaign Credenza in excellent shape for its age but it does in fact have small nicks and chips. This is a perfect candidate for the standard paint refinishing that is popular right now. All of the brass is in tact and in excellent shape except a single pull has broken the clasp that hold it to the brass bucket. This will need to be repaired or replaced. Drexel mid century modern 1961 dining set 5 chairs and table
very attractive set. Needs minor TLC but nothing unexpected for a 50+yr old piece of furniture. has 4 regular chairs and 1 captains arm chair. I do not have the leaves for it so the size you see is as large as it will get, but the sides do fold down if you need it smaller. I can hold it if you are coming far to pick it up or we may be able to work out something for delivery within a reasonable distance. it can all fit in an SUV so you do not need to rent any special vehicle.
