This is a fine old child's miniature doll size Welsh cupboard with dishes as found. It dates to the mid 1800's and has hand dovetailed drawers front and back. It is a very large miniature is in played with original condition. As pictured one of the small drawers is missing its trim and some of the drawer slides need to be glued back in place. If you're handy at all required repairs could be made. It measures 28 1/2" tall is 21 1/2" wide and is 8" deep. A very unusual and rare piece of tramp art. EVERYTHING fits right back in and if you glue it. It should look GORGEOUS and not crooked or cockeyed looking as my images make it look. I did not want to push things together to make it look presentable because this would add extra stress on her. ALL the pieces will fit into their perspective holes or slots perfectly. Nothing is swollen or whatever. This is a hand made primitive medicine or liqueur cabinet. Has a pale yellow butter paint under what I believe is white chippy milk paint. I also see hints of pink paint which I think is only on the inside shelves. The white paint keeps flaking off and will continue to flake ... moreoff during shipment. The wood underneath has a dark grey or gray color to it. I’m not sure if this is ash wood? The entire cupboard cabinet has been dismantled so you wont have to pay a high shipping fee. There are some loose nails which can be snipped off or pulled off by you. Someone must have nailed some of the shelves and sides to make it sturdier. This cabinet“appears to just fit together like a puzzle where all the pieces just slip. Slide or fit in. Might” have been glued together or it just fit together snugly like the old dove tails did. I can send extra pictures of it as I could only post 12 on eBay. All the little dowels? tiny little sticks that are at the top of the cabinet were removed and have both ends in tact to stick in their perspective slots/holes. The one long straight rod that the little sticks attach to(is pictured on top of the mirror) has it’s end broken off and still lodged inside the top section of the side. This is the worst flaw in my opinion but this is very easily fixable. "Christmas Cupboard" - Primitive Green Pine Cupboard
A Christmas Cupboard! It may have been used to store jellies or pies once upon a time. But today it can be used for whatever your pleasure. PAINTED with(original) pine green paint, this is a small and very narrow primitive pine cupboard that hails from the back country near Aiken. SC. Likely late 1800s-early 1900s. The entire cupboard is painted green, including the back. Crude in construction using old flathead nails, it is extremely sturdy. It has cute clothespin legs and two interior shelves(3 spaces) for storing crocks, dishes, bake ware, books, etc. The top pieces(see photo) appear as if they may have been tongue and groove pine floor boards at one time. Cupboard dimensions: 55.5" tall x 12.75" wide by 24.5" across. This is an Antique1880's Handmade Pennsylvania Dutch Cupboard that has been in my breakfast room for years. I originally inherited this piece from my mother who had it in her home in New Jersey All Original Pine/Fir with original brass locks and fittings. Recently appraised for $1.200 by Charles& Charles Antiques on Rodeo Drive in Los Angeles Working lock with original key. There are 3 Pine Shelves that can be inserted at any desired height of your choice by inserting the wooden supports at the sides. There are 2 slide locks on the left side which are also original. One slide lock is at the top and one is at the bottom(I photographed the bottom lock and the hole it slides into) The three window panes are secured with handmade supports(if you need a photo of this I can send one)I used the cabinet for dishes but it also makes a great ... morebook cabinet. I'm including the four original pine feet that I never used. Depends on the look you want. The old black paint has some wear and rub marks that are totally original and I feel strongly it is older than 1800; however I have to cover my bases and say early 19c. Antique c.1800's American Federal Period Solid Pine- Pennsylvania Painted- Hanging Cupboard Chester County. Pennsylvania DESCRIPTION An American Federal Period or Earlier Blind Door Cupboard Made in the late 1700's or very early 1800's. An authentic antique of the American Federal Period. Here's a real rarity from an estate in Chester County, Pennsylvania. A fabulous antique. A large cupboard made of solid Pine. No venners on this beauty, even the interior shelves and the back of this cupboard all all made of thick and wide beautiful solid pine boards that have lovely figuring. Early Chester County Pennsylvania cased furniture made of pine with this fabulous feathered graining to the wood is rare to come across. And this is truly a spectacular example. All original. Nothing replaced. Shows it's age handsomely, a rich mellow ... morepatina to this most desirable wood. A very large cupboard. Measures 45" across the top including the cornice and 25.5" high, it's 11.25" deep back to front of top shelf and the cupboard itself is 9.25" deep. The interior has one shelf that is 7.5" deep. Under the shelf are hooks for hanging cups. All square nails visable on the back of the cupboard. The top board has a very small amount of warpage but isn't that noticeable. This 200 year old cupboard was once a hanging cupboard. It was used in the past as a purely decorative piece. It was excellently cared for and would look handsome as a hanging wall cupboard again. It is very heavy with these solid thick pine boards. So if you decide to hang it, it will need to be supported properly. The hinges are all original. As are the two latches on the doors. Early Cupboard in Old Blue Paint Wide Board Sq Nailed with Clover Leaf Cut out
This is a very unique early cupboard. It is heavy and sturdy with wide board and square nail construction. The screen has been replaced. It use to be on the inside but I guess it had so many holes in the inside of the door that they decided to put the new screen on the outside and so they made a piece of wood with the clover cut outs to put on the outside over the screen so you could see the clovers. If I kept it I would take the blue clover piece off and put the screen back on the inside so the original clovers would show but I will leave that decision up to the next owner. It is 73" tall. 43" wide and 17" deep and will have to be freight or pickup. I use Tscmoving.com and if you go on line for a quote you will need my zip. 72758. Early Prim cupboard in very early blue paint with original bittersweet underneath. It is all wide board and square nailed construction with the original screen. Cupboard was not painted on the right side origianally which was very comman in the day but has been painted to match since and the decrative piece that goes across the very bottom was replaced at one point as well. 2 pc Oak Step Back Mercantile/General Store/Apothecary Cupboard
Wonderful late 19th century early 20th century cabinet. This came out of a beautiful Meadville. PA estate. Step back cabinet is just under 8"L(95" and it's 85 5/8"H. The base is 25 3/4"D and 33 1/2"H. The top piece is 17 1/4"D. All doors are fully functional and slide on inset wheels/rollers on a track. The glass in upper doors appear to be original because the glass is wavy. The one side of the cabinet is finished nicely in raised panel oak. Other end must have abutted a wall because it's not finished in oak. All nine drawers are fronted in oak but the cavities are galvanized steel with wood on the back. The back of the cabinet is finished in sheet metal. This is a beautiful piece and could be used together or because the top piece is finished so nicely on the bottom and top you could separate it and ... moreuse the top piece as a bookshelf and the bottom piece as a kitchen island. All shelves and doors disassemble for easy transport. It is definitely a piece of local history and would look great in your home. Stunning antique Hoosier hutch from Seller's. This was purchased in Indiana. Metal brand plate(Seller's) is attached to the front. I am unsure of the exact age but it did belong to my Great Grandmother. It was originally located in Indiana. The hutch is in 2 pieces so moving it is relatively easy& it will fit into most any size living space. The bottom part has a white enamel counter with a gray speckled edge. The cabinet in the base opens& there is one shelf inside. There are 3 drawers with glass handles. The bottom drawer is metal in the interior& is used for potato storage. ANTIQUE PRIMITIVE WAINSCOAT STEPBACK CUPBOARD PAINTED BLUE W/WOOD & GLASS DOORS
Antique wainscoat step back cupboard. Has two lower wood doors and two upper doors with glass- glass is broken on one door. They are not painted the blue but can be refinished to match and are original to the cupboard. I used this for display in a retail store so did not use them but saved them and put them aside for a future owner. Cupboard originally was one piece but someone along the way cut it in half. The photo shows the cut- it is pretty straight and I have used two straight brackets on back to hold in place. Measures about 83 inches tall by 43 inches wide by about 17 inches deep. The glass doors enclose the top three shelves which would leave an open shelf(the one right above the wood doors) The openings of the shelves are about 34 inches wide and there is about 11-1/2 inches of space between each shelf. An absolutely gorgeous mahogany wood china cabinet! This wood is absolutely beautiful and will make a great accent in your dining room. Living room or living area. Solid, well built and sturdy this cabinet is sound. Two flaws that I've documented with photos are a scratch on the left bottom door and a very small part of the applique at the crown has worn off. Shelves are sturdy and cut for standing plates on end, the glass is 100% intact, all doors open and close easily, the wood trim on the inside of the glass is very well done and ornate.
