In pic 5 you can barely see that the veneer has been re-glued. There are a few nicks here and there, and there are hardware circles around a couple of the drawer pulls, where the handles have been rotated and made a circle in the wood around. The hardware, as well as the design, makes this piece much more eye catching, with steel pulls and horizontal rosewood tips on each pull. This piece measures 54" x 32" x 18" deep. This auction is for a antque Buffet-sideboard measures 10'0" w x 39" h x 23" deep. The Buffet is an heirloom piece and been in my family for a long time. The piece is an 1940 French Antique. The buffet is made from solid hard wood with a wood veneer front, and has a beautiful chevron pattern on the veneer, v ery unique. There are five storage compartments in the piece. Two on each end and three in the middle of the piece, each compartment can be locked and comes with a vintage skeleton key. The buffet is finished on top with a scalloped piece of WHITE marble. The marble top does have a crack in it. But it is still in great condition. Overall, this piece is in very good vintage condition. The buffet can also be used as an AWESOME-bar front. Mid Century Danish Modern Dresser Credenza Drexel Style of Finn Juhl
This is a great dresser that I believe to have been made by Drexel in the style of some of Finn Juhl's pieces. It has 4 large center drawers and 8 smaller ones. Four on either side. The two panels on the front both slide smoothly for access to either the side or center drawers. This would be an amazing piece for a flat screen TV or as a dresser. Each of the drawers has the same smooth curve on the upper and lower which is very similar to the ones designed by Finn Juhl. This piece has a couple small issues. There are a couple scratches on the top as seen in pics#7-9. If you look very closely. You can see a very small piece of laminate missing on the bottom left side. Other than those minor issues, this is an amazingly solid and great looking piece. This is a spectacular Turn of the Century TAZZA or COMPOTE. It is 19" tall with a three footed base decorated with shell design in relief. It would look spectacular in a Victorian Bed& Breakfast. The piece weighs 18 lbs. The top bowl is 13" across with what appears to be enamel on the underside. Each foot is about 2 1/4" wide and approx. 8" from the outside of one foot to the outside of another. As noted in the photographs the pedestal is decorated in relief design. The fifth photo shows inside of the bowl which is plain. And the sixth photo shows the marks on the bottom. And good rich colour to teak. The sideboard has been maintained extremely well over the years with regular applications of Danish oil. We have professionally cleaned and sympathetically refinished the sideboard throughout. Re-oiling all surfaces to a superb finish. There are no significant marks, and only very slight signs of use. The top has no discernible marks to note. And the entire sideboard features a particularly attractive grain. Vodder style recessed pulls to the flight of four drawers.
