The bookcase is made to sit on top of the cabinet, but the bookcase ... morehas been in storage for a few years. It is in good condition except for a few minor flaws. There is a small dent inside the bookcase. It appears that something fell on the back of the bookcase. You can't see the dent unless you open the bookcase doors or look at it from behind. There are some holes for screws in the back of the bookcase where you can attach the bookcase to the cabinet, but I don't have the hardware that holds these 2 together. Each piece is labeled with a part number and name, so it appears that they must have been sold separately. This is for local pickup in Irving, TX. I think that my grandmother purchased this in the late 1950s.

The dimentions are 18' deep. 17.5 wide and 31.5' tall. It is fully functional and the file cabinet unit and the card catalog drawers work as intended with the original hardware remaining. Condition: Good original condition with the usual age related scratches and blemishes to the finish. There is dark staining and a little rippling to the veneer on the top. Most of the finish is definately originial. But I'm really not sure if the sides of the file cabinet unit have been refinished at some point. They have the same type of wear as the rest of the unit, but are noticibly lighter than the patina on the rest of the pieces. The brass side bands have oxidation on parts of them. Shipping: Good news.I have all the packing materials and therefore will not charge a wrapping fee. Bad news.this is a heavy piece. About 60 lbs all packaged up so will be expensive to ship. Here is a very early and RARE Tiger Oak Danner Revolving Bookcase in the'Fumed Oak' finish that was used very often in the Arts and Crafts(Stickley Era) by most makers of Mission Oak furniture. The Paine Furniture(established in 1835) company sold Danner bookcases of this type in the 1880' with the wider slats and decorative hobnails. There are a few"scars of time" that only add authenticity and charm to this treasure. Overall measurements are 26" square and 58" high. There are four levels with 16 bookcase sections. All measuring 16" wide, 7" deep and 11" high. The stenciled"Danner Trade Mark" is seen on a top level section. The tiger oak used is top of the line! Great flowing S-curve design on door pulls with keyholes. Very well made with no damage. The pulls are made of pot metal as a magnet dos not stick and the finish is a well worn bronze wash. The right handle has a slight manufactuing flaw but it is solid. Rare set with a very graceful look. Door pulls measure 3" x 6" Drawer pulls measure 2 1/4" x 6 1/8" Have original screws and washers. Large carved claw feet are on front. The case sides and the top board are solid mahogany. Each door has the original wavy glass panel, brass escutcheons, and the key(the two locks are missing their catch. each compartment holds three adjustable mahogany stained maple board shelves. It measures 56-1/4" tall by 54" wide by 15" deep, the shelves 11-1/4" deep. Excellent condition: beautiful original finish, no chips or cracks to mahogany boards, veneers without chips. The glass panels are undamaged.

This fine 19th century bookcase features incredible carvings and details and has its original old wavy glass. Original square beveled mirrors and all the brass hardware also appears original as well as the rich finish. This bookcase has a wonderful brass and mahogany gallery on the top with incredible detailed carved leaves above the door on the left with a gold gilded panel of fretwork below and the original square beveled mirrors, pierced carvings and a display shelves above the door on the right with a original beveled glass door side cabinet with a small storage drawer below. The tasseled key works the locks on ... moreboth doors and inside the cabinet are four adjustable shelves on the left side and three on the right. At the base additional storage is offered with the two storage drawers below each having the original Lion face brass pulls and period dove-tailed ends on the drawers. The locks are intact on the drawers and there is a key but the locks seem stuck. This splendid bookcase is solid and tight and an excellent example of the Aesthetic Victorian era of design and is definitely a statement making piece. Solid Globe Wernicke C 198 plain oak Lawyers bookcase section out of an estate. Old flaky finish that comes off easily. The back panel and the bottom panel are seperated some which is common and an easy fix. Surface rust on the metal bands. Has original wavy glass and knob. The door is correct and is plain oak but I'm not sure its the one that came with this section. Appears to be missing a few nails here and there. Needs complete and total restoration or use for parts.
