Never had another ... morelike it. Excellent cosmically and both doors operate perfectly. It measures approximately 41-1/2” high, 34” wide and 11” deep. The shelves measure 14” high and 12” high inside, so this is large for a 2-shelf. According to the labels, they are “Pattern 813” and “Pattern 811”. Both are also marked “Grade 299”. It has a replacement base that’s a great match and is better constructed than what it would’ve come with. Local pickup only due to size and how fragile these are, sorry. According to the labels, they are pattern #’s 709, 711, and 713 and are all “Grade 3298-1/2”. Great vintage condition, as shown, with minor scuffs from use. A couple minor chips on the veneer on the right side and a couple rings on top. I wiped it down with mineral spirits, but there’s a century’s worth of wax on it, so could use a good cleaning. Due to size and how fragile these are, I’m listing it for local pickup only, sorry. Up for auction are these 2 bookcase door off of a old barristers cabinet. I am not sure of the manufacture.frame seems to be in solid condition. This door also has the old wavy glass.wood has a nice patina probably oak. Door measures 32 7/8" x 11 1/8" Glass size measured in frame is 30" x 7 7/8" There also are some cutouts on the frame out of the wood not sure what they were for. Barrister's Bookcase - Oak Finish - Exc Cond -Glass Pulldown Doors w/One Leaded
This is a used Barrister style bookcase in excellent condition. It is oak finish with glass pull down doors. The top door is leaded/ beveled glass. I used it to store movies instead of books. There are four shelves about 12" deep. I had VHS tapes and DVD's stacked two rows deep. From memory it is about 5' tall and over 3' wide. I can measure next time I am at the storage unit. The first two pictures are in my previous house and the third is in the climate controlled storage unit. The color in the last picture is a little off due to fluorescent lighting in the storage unit. I have another of these in a slightly different style up for auction also. It does not have the leaded. Beveled glass in the top door. Obv iously this is a pick up only item as it is heavy and large. Up for sale is this antique set of lawyers stacking bookcases. There are 4 stackable compete with base. It is a dark wood and has leaded glass fronts. It is marked Globe wernicke 809 3025 1/2. It measures 34 1/2" x 11 1/2" x 58 1/2" and is in good condition for its age. There is one piece of glass at the bottom that has a crack in it. Quartered quarter sawn oak barrister bookcase with desk--raised panels---14710
This is a really interesting quarter sawn barrister bookcase. I sell lawyer's bookcase(sometimes called a stacker) but have not had this model before. Three sections tall with raised paneled fronts on each section door. The top section is a drop front desk with a nice fitted interior. The overall size of the piece is 34 wide. 47 high, 12 deep. I don't know if this case was manufactured by Globe or Macey or who? I guess I would call this an Arts and Crafts style. Wonderful original finish and ready for your home or office. This is a Lundstrom Barrister bookcase 5 stacks. It is the type that each shelf folds up almost flat and can easily be transported in the back of a car. SUV or pickup. It belonged to my mother. 2 Restored Vintage GF Metal Lawyers Barrister Stacking Bookcase Glass Doors
Holy hotness! For sale is one of two fully-restored General Fireproofing 3-tier metal lawyers bookcases. Professionally painted in an RAL 3001 Signal Red catalyzed lacquer. Each bookcase has three identical sections with glass doors that flip up and slide back. The glass has been thoroughly cleaned and the original aluminum pulls have been polished. Each one also has a metal plug on the bottom section where a lock or something used to be. Each section is attached to the other with four small metal screws. While they have been professionally restored. One does have a couple of minor imperfections, namely two very shallow impressions on the very top; one of about and inch and a half wide near one end and another tiny 1/4" ding. Oak Stacking Barrister Bookcase by Mayer & Thaheimer 75" Tall Wavy Glass Nice
This is a vintage Mayer& Thalheimer of Baltimore Stacking Barristers Bookcase. It measures 75 3/8" Tall-34" Wide-9 1/2" Deep. It will accommodate a 10 1/2" tall book. Four of the Five sections have the original wavy glass. The center ones glass has been replaced at some point. The bottom section has a different Mayer& Thalheimer tag than the top sections and has a different coloration on the back as you can see so it may be a marriage though it fits perfectly. Condition is very good. I've enjoyed it for many years but am moving to a smaller home and don't have a place for it. I'm not offering shipping but can be accommodating on working out delivery.

This is a Globe-Wernicke Barrister bookcase. Made out of real MAHOGANY. It stands 48" tall by 33" wide. It consists of a top section w/ tag. 3" tall. the next section down also has tag w/ orig. glass that lifts and slides open. Mechanics are perfect. Its 10 1/2" tall. The next section down, has 2 sliding doors w/ glass, one pane is orig. the other looks to have been replaced. There are no tags for this section. And I have looked over 1000's of pictures on the internet and have not seen another like it! With the sliding doors. This section is 24" tall. It also has an adjustable shelf. The shelf is oak. The next section down is the base. It has a tag stating C-D Comb Leg Base. There are scratches mainly on the top. Along with cigarette burns. As I believe they had a brand called Library Bureau. Its hardware& moldings look similar to some of the Globe styles. In any case. It's a nice bookcase in good shape, with very clean lines, nice golden-oak color and appears to be constructed of mainly quarter-sawn oak with little if any veneer on the main exposed parts(excepting the back of course, and possibly the bottoms inside which look like a clear maple) The finish appears intact, with its age-related character. We've given this a cleaning, you may want to go further with perhaps some steel wool, decades of office-life generally leave these old barristers with their typical use-related'Character' ... moreplease see the photos) which to my eye is all part of the antique. We used this piece for holding antiquarian natural history books and art-books. For which it works excellently. But old Barrister Bookcases are great for displaying many sorts of things, keeping them dust-free& safe. Everything seems to work properly, glass fronts all slide up& back properly, brass knobs are all there etc. This Barrister is a nice sort of mission design in its plain square lines. With slightly rounded moldings which add a touch of'friendliness' to its design. As a modular piece. It's designed to be transported, and can be set up in various heights with either one, two or three of its sections. A very useful, effective& handy Barrister Bookcase. Quartered quarter sawn oak barrister bookcase leaded glass----14821
This is an especially nice quartered quarter sawn oak barrister bookcase. Many of these barristers were made by Globe Wernicke or Macey-I do not know who manufactured this bookcase. Piece is quite unusual with leaded and beveled glass doors in each section. In addition. The top is a pretty carved design rather than the more common plain design normally seen. Piece has been refinished and is in perfect condition with a smooth and even finish. Note the'bullnose' top and also the piece has a drawer in the bottom section. Dimensions are 47" tall 34" wide and 11" deep The outside dimensions are one at 14" tall and one at 12" tall and one at 10" It is structurally sound with original finish. Glass and backings. It does have a ring stain on top crown which is not very noticeable. Can be picked up in NEW JERSEY 07746 or can arrange delivery within a 50 mile limit for a reasonable fee.
