As well as a piece that sits in the bottom drawer(see pictured photo) There is also a piece thats used to secure the hangers farther back that is pictured. The hinges are all working however need to be cleaned. The locks appear in very good condition. No keys. These trunks were the very best. Right at the top with Louis Vuitton, Goyard, M. M. Secor, etc. This trunk was one of Hartmann's top models of the time, costing close to $200.that's over $2500 in today's market. Only a well-to-do gentleman or lady would have owned something this expensive and of this quality. This particular trunk is a cushion-top model, and is also gibraltarized, patentened process in order to make the trunk frame very strong. This is all steel-frame construction. The trunk features a velvet cushioned top to protect clothing during travel. All original"unbreakable hangers" a garment bag for clothing worn, all hand riveted, and featered a patented locking mechanism that actually hooks so your trunk would never open in travel. From the hangers to the cloth lining, and cloth ties, this was made for an entire wardrobe to moved about without putting a wrinkle in any of your items. Small Antique Humpback Victorian Steamer Trunk--Great Patina
This small antique steamer trunk has beautiful color and is in great shape for its age. It measures 26" long x 16" high x 13" wide. It weighs 26 lbs. All the metal plates are intact but one. And that I will send in a baggie and can be attached by the buyer. The inside is papered and has a beautiful decal of a lovely lady. The bottom has four rollers which all work. The oak wood slats are silky to the touch and have great patina; the tin is colored yellow on the back and sides as the photos reveal. The previous owner put dimes inside the front latches. Refinished Flat Top Victorian Steamer Trunk Antique Chest w/Straps, Key, & Tray
Nice Refinished Antique Flat Top Steamer Trunk With Straps& Buckles. Working Lock With Key, and Original Interior Tray Here is a really nice large refinished flat top steamer trunk that dates to around 1900 or so. Here are the trunk's dimensions: from left to right across the front is 36 1/2 inches. From floor to top is 24 inches, and from front edge to back edge is 21 1/4 inches. This trunk is made up of pine base wood with ash or oak outer slat boards. The wood on this trunk has been finished with three coats of polyurethane by Minwax. The base wood on the top between the slat boards is rough cut wood. It is not smoothed out like the boards on the rest of the trunk. You might notice this in a close up picture that we have provided. There is a slight contrast in color on these top boards compared to the rest of the boards on the ... moretrunk. The wood is in pretty good condition throughout this trunk. There are some older typical distress marks in various places which include some older nicks and dings, mostly concentrated on to the outer slat boards. This is a true flat top trunk with no factory arch. This gorgeous trunk has a lot of fancy metal hardware. The metal components that make up this trunk are not brass and have therefore been brush painted by hand in black and gold leaf. This trunk comes with a signed working lock. It is signed, Eagle Lock Co Terryville Conn U.S.A. We have shown a picture of this signature and we have matched up a key that does work properly in this lock. The front latches are original and in good working condition since the springs are still intact. The side handles were missing and have been replaced with Amish made black leather stitched handle straps. This trunk originally had a pair of leather straps with buckles. They were eroded away, so we have run a nice pair of Amish made leather straps with roller buckles up the front and across the top in the very same location where the original ones were. Antique Immigrant Trunk Very Old Hump Barrel Back All Wood
Up for sale is a antique all wood immigrants trunk. It is a great antique trunk from the 1800's. It does show signs of aging wood cracked no lock in the front. The trunk is 44 3/4long. 24 1/4inches tall. The bottom is 18 1/4inches deep and the top is 23 1/2inches deep. It could use a good cleaning been stored for years. I will be listing this item plus other oak piece from a local estate. The owner was a refinisher. These were some of the projects that had never got done or even started. Completely Antique Beat up Victorian Trunk From the 1800s
This is a very old trunk from the 1800s that had leather covering on it.It needs restoring and scent cleaning( it smells as old as it looks) but you can always say you have a very old piece. The inside was lined in linen.it has some very nice hardware and alot of it, another indication of a good trunk maker. With Corbin locks the better lock makers. it doesnt have the tray, looks like it may have had a hat box on the tray. Of course its a dome top, but I believe due to the linen and hardware it may be a Victorian Ladies or possibly a Wedding Trunk.

Antique Trunk / Chest 30x18x20 Inches
I wish I knew more about this trunk. But I simply don't know anything about antiques. I purchased this at an impressive antique shop(south of Pittsburgh) for more than what I am listing it for. Sorry about the poor lighting in the pictures. I included the dimensions in the description. It is obviously"distressed" But other than that, very structurally sound. The only knock I could put on it is that there is a"slight fracture" in the top. It is slight though. If you look in the 3rd picture, there is a line that runs across the top from left to right. It is very fine and hasn't caused me any problems. It came like this and my original thought was to put my 60+ pound plasma TV on top of the chest. I am 100% confident it could hold that weight and there would be no problem or further fracturing. But over time, I'm ... moresure it wouldn't be good for the piece itself, so I never tried. Beautiful Antique Dome Half Trunk This is one of the nicest. Most stylish half trunks I have come across in my 25+ years of refinishing and collecting. Technically, this is a hat or bonnet trunk, but many refer to them as half trunks as well. My wife actually purchased this some years back and it has been in my collection, but now it's time to make room for a"larger model" This trunk is actually a little smaller than a true"half" trunk, but it has all the hardware and adornments of the larger fancy dome tops. Notice the wide scalloped metal banding surrounding the top and sides. This is the only trunk I've ever seen with this feature. Very fancy hardware, decorative handle caps, thick solid wood, very well made, solid/stout, all intact and in excellent condition. This auction is for an Antique Childs Hump Back Trunk. It is 16 by 9 inches and 10 inches high at the dome. It has a lift out shelf or drawer with two compartments. Only one side has a lid. But I think originally there was one on the other side also. There looks to have been a spot inside the lid where there was another picture. The trunk may have been painted the copper color but the wood is still its natural color and whether the black on the tin staves is original I don't know. By the look of the ends I am not sure if there were ever leather straps but I would think so. This is estate fresh so I have no information about it. It is sturdy and well put together. This bid is for a great small antique leather Chaplin's Mason's truck or chest. Marked David C. Scholl. Temple 3. Albany Oregon. The hinges are dated 1866. The handle has damage issues. Aside from that, this is in great condition considering it is nearly 150 years old. It is complete with good straps and buckles. No key for the lock. The leather is all in good condition. Just normal edge wear that is expected for something of this age. The interior is in nice clean condition. I do see one of the little metal legs on the bottom is missing. The hinges work properly. Up for auction is an Antique Vintage Wood Leather Traveling Chest circa late 1700’s. The chest is made out of wood. Was once covered in cow hide(most of which has worn off) and has leather hinges. It measures 17.5 inches long x 10 inches wide x 7.5 inches high and has a metal clasp/ lock(with no key) The top part of the lock is no longer attached to the lid. The handle on the top is also missing. The inside of the chest is lined with newspaper which has a date of Tuesday. April 1, 1794 from the Catskill Packet. The chest was purchased from an estate sale and I have no further information or back ground on it. Shipping includes insurance.

This is a wooden and copper or tin trunk with small casters(wheels) on the bottom. The original leather handles are still intact and work. The trunk measures 30" wide by 16" deep and 17" tall. There is a picture of a Victorian ... morewoman on the inside of the lid. One of the handles has a"Railway Express" tag from Brighton, and a faded"Railway Express Agency" sticker is on the bottom. The two side latches work properly and the center lock is a bit stiff and may not work. There is some writing undermeath the center lock that is hard to read but it looks like it says"Patented 1867, reissued Aug. and we cant't seem to make out the rest. We believe this is from the late 1800's to early 1900's but are unsure of the actual age. There is some very nice ornate designs on the riveted corners and the black metal on the tops and sides. There is some damaged wood and some damage to the metal on one corner, also some rust on the back hinges. The inside has some cracking in the wood but is still in good shape. Antique 1800's Large Sole Leather Trunk Made By Haskell Brothers Chicago IL
Awesome 1800's Antique Sole Leather Trunk made by Haskell Bro's. Chicago IL. Perhaps one of a kind since I've never seen one exactly like it before and due to the fact, the original owner was a multi-millionaire(please read the history below) during that time period. This is definitely museum worthy! It is very structurally sound and in overall good condition! The primary leather has minor cracking which is to be expected for a trunk of this age. The leather is still very tight and secure. All stitching is tight as well. Which is quite remarkable! Haskell Bro's Makers Chicago is stamped into the leather on the top of the lid and is also visible on the brass locking latches. As you can see in the photos, the handles and a loop are worn off, but worthwhile to restore since all the studs are still there. The stud tacks appear ... moreto be hand hammered and all parts appear to be original. Extremely well made! The inside is lined with material with very few tears overall. Again. Quite remarkable for a Trunk that is well over 100 yrs old! There are no compartments inside. The wood slats are all in real good condition& the wood trim is as well. I'm unsure if it's oak, but I assume so. The bottom is in good condition, although as shown in the photo, there is a probable water stain. Included are leather travel straps. A leather handle, a buckle and two keys. I was told they are the original keys, however, one clearly says Hartmann. I have not tested these keys and am scared to out of fear they may get stuck when turning. I did however check to see if they went into the keyholes and both do easily. Measures 24" high. 20" wide and is 36" long. Please note. The top of the trunk appears in the pictures to be a bit"washed out, due to the excessive natural light. It is not washed out. ANTIQUE Refinished DOMETOP Trunk - 1880's - GORGEOUS and HEAVY
Up for auction we have a beautiful antique Dome Top refinished trunk. Dating to the late 1880's. Sometimes referred to as a Bride's Trunk, or even a Saratoga- this trunk shines. Measuring 30 x 20 x 23, it is a great medium sized trunk. Outside has been refinished and the inside retains much of the original trays and compartments. The bottom portion of the trunk was cleaned and freshly papered with a cream white wall paper. Handles have been replaced, and original castors on bottom- trunk can roll, and thank goodness it can, because this beauty is heavy and weighs about 50 pounds. One of the things I love about this trunk is the second tray with all original canvas banding- no rips or tears- amazing that it is is this good of shape- and the letter keeper, I can just imagine the love letters being stored in that spot- I know I am too ... moremuch of a romantic- oh well. But please remember with any item over one hundred years, it is not perfect, there are travel bumps and bruises- see all photos. This is an antique ca.1875 ladies refinished pine hat trunk. It is 14"x 13"x 16.75"tall and weighs 17 lbs. It has steel banding with brass buttons. The solid brass hasp and lock plate are original. The key has been lost. The three leather handles and leather dust strap have been replaced per the original. The interior has a lift-out tray and a fold-down bonnet box with a money pouch.
