Antique Pine Table "Drawer" Pulls Out To Remove Basins Local Pick Up
Please Note: Local Pick Up by July 7 at the latest! Offered is a pine wash table. It is solid pine and looks like a table until you pull the drawer out. Inside there are removable basins for"washing up" The top needs work. But it is solid pine and the stains are not deep so it should sand/buff out easily. Approximate Measurements 42x26x32 My beloved Great Aunt Ruth passed at 102. Aunt Ruth lived each year to the fullest! It is my job to sort through her estate.this woman who loved to travel. This beautiful large scale Spanish table has been well taken care of in my grandfathers estate for decades. Before it found itself in Jupiter Florida. It was in a royal estate in Marbella, Spain where it was originally crafted centuries ago. The table has been under the possession of Austrian royalty for as long as anyone is able to trace. I think this must be must be a museum piece. I can hardly believe that it has survived one hundred and fifteen years in this condition! It must have been in a drawer for a century. This was made in America. In Providence, Rhode Island. Gorham Manufacturing Company had a sister factory here in Birmingham and because of this link they decided to strike their silver with quasi Birmingham hallmarks– an image of the lion passant and anchor and the gothic letter‘G’ The date was confirmed by a symbol which changed every year from 1868 to 1833. This piece has a mark similar to the Isle of Man rotating legs denoting that it was made in 1898. The handle screams Art Nouveaux and tells us that ... moreGoreham were as up-to-date as anyone else in the world with silver movements– so let’s not knock the American silversmiths too much! The silver is exquisitely embossed with flowers and leaves and is completely free from any dings or dents. The table top has been carefully re-finished and french polished. Smooth and unmarked surface whilst retaining the patina of the original veneer beneath. 44.4cm along the grain. 43.7 across the grain All veneer work remains in good order- no cracking or flaking. Antique Linen Table Runner BEAUTIFUL candlewicked embroidery - 2" Hairpin? Lace
This is a gorgeous VERY OLD Victorian table runner made of what looks like Irish linen and trimmed with handmade lace(hairpin? maybe Cluny.not sure. It is an ivory color. The most exquisite part is the candlewick embroidery work running the length of it- on each end there is a large circle of candlewicked rounds connected with embroidered vines and then each having a 6 petaled flower.these flow into the center oval pattern which is similar to the rounds but just done in an oval shape to carry across the center and then back to the other end with the large round of candlewicking. It is so tight and so smooth.and so finely done that the back(see 5th pic from last) looks almost as good as the front. The lace. Unfortunately being fragile, hasn't survived as well as the cloth and embroidery work but in its own right it is exquisitely done- ... moreI have given you pictures of the breaks in the lace trim. It measures 47" long without the 2" lace trim- 57" end to end if I include the lace. It is 12" wide without the lace and 16" wide with the lace. So. It is 47 X 12 without lace and 57" X 16" with the lace. There are no spots or stains- there is a patch close to one end next to the lace that is done so incredibly fine that I almost missed it and I guarantee you will be hard put to find it. There is one about 1 1/2" separation in the fabric next to the lace right on the edge and another a little higher up from that one that is small- also a very tiny moth hole that I almost didn't see. It has been laundered. Starched, ironed and stored at this estate and has a slight'storagey' scent because of this but nothing nasty. This might have been a bolster/pillow cover. Hails from the 19th century. And comes from the Newport RI area. Measures 28-1/2" high. Top measures 28-1/2" wide by 47" long. Has the original pegs. There are still many square nails. Some have been replaced with old screws. Some nails are missing. There are some age cracks; one long crack in wood on one side. It does not affect the table's function. This is an old early 1900s I think but may be older set of 3 stacking tables from an estate. All together they are 27" tall and top table is 18 1/2" by 14 1/2" The top has a hand painted scene of a shepard and his sheep. The top table has seen the most use and could be made more beautiful by a person who has furniture knowledge. It has numerous dark spots that furniture polish did not effect and a 3" and 1" scratch and other smaller scuff marks. These dark spots may of been caused by heat as a guesse on my part as I really do not know. An artist could touch up the scratches. The top is in used as is condition. The center table is 16" by 13" and has a French lady in a pastorial setting with house in background. It has a 1/2" possible burn hole? It has normal vintage wear. ANTIQUE VICTORIAN ONYX IRON DRAGON SERPENTINE CHINOISERIE PLANT STAND TABLE
We are pleased to offer this EXCEPTIONAL. Antique, Victorian era table or stand. This beautiful piece features gilded iron and soft green onyx/marble. The table/stand has ornate, pieced iron bands that encircle the onyx on each tier. These bands have a Neoclassical design with acanthus scrolls and large medallions accented with flowers. The upper tier is larger in circumference than the lower tier but the iron patterns are the same. The table/stand has 4 legs. Each leg features a detailed dragon or serpent head which is protrudes from the legs. Below the head, each leg is incised with a pattern that represents the serpent's scales. This pattern extends downward to the floor. The legs are curved in an exaggerated manner so that they represent the bodies of the serpent. The feet are small and rounded to complete the serpentine effect. The ... moreonyx/marble pieces are thick and extend above the iron that surrounds them. They are quite beautiful as well. They are a soft green color with occasional white and tan veins. This is an elaborate table or stand. It is quite striking and extremely interesting. It is in very good antique condition with only minor signs of age or use. The onyx has some minor chips on the top edges which are"felt" more than seen. These are very difficult to see and do not distract from this gorgeous piece. They do have some chipping to the underneath sides where they fit into the shelves. There is only minor loss of the gilded finish in a few areas. Overall condition is very good. STUNNING! The stand measures 28.5" tall to the iron portion of the top tier and it is 29" tall to the top of the onyx. The top tier is 16" in diameter. The lower tier is 10" in diameter. The legs are 13" wide. The onyx pieces are 9.75" and 4.75" in diameter and both are 3/4" in thickness. Shipping via UPS with insurance included. We will disassemble prior to shipping for protection. Here is an antique writing desk with the flip up top. The desk pulls out when the top is open. This can be seen in image 5. It is in overall good shape with great patina. The desk can be used as is. Restored or as a garden table. This would also make a great computer desk. The photos show some of the areas that have scratches, scuffs or cracks. Images 5-7 show the measurements. Image 3 shows some damage to the top when the desk is closed. Image 4 shows that the leg has a piece missing. This is available for local pick-up only. Antique Linen and Lace Placemats Hand made Italian Reticella Needle lace 5 Table Mats Man Woman Here are 5 antique linen Italian Reticella lace table placemats with incredible needle lace work on both ends of the placemats. There are figural Reticella lace figures at each end of the placemat. Female and male. Four of the lace placemats have 2 woman figures and 1 male figure on each end of the mat(see photo 1) The 5th lace placemat has four figures on each end. Two females and two males(see photo 2) Both of the lace ends of the placemat are 3" deep and 15 1/2" long(see photos 3 and 4) Table Placemat color: The table placemat color is a tea shade of color. Please note: The linen varies in color from a natural tea shade to a lighter cream(see photo 8) This is likely that some of the placemats were used less than others(photo 9 is showing ... morethe variation in color of the placemats) I have not adjusted the camera light. Photo 9 is showing the placemats along with a white object so that you can see the color difference. Velvet, ribbons, textured fabrics, and embroidered fabrics. It is hand pieced and still has basting stitches. The initials HEB are hand embroidered in the center block. Antique Hand Embroidered Silk Table Runner Boudoir Scarf Edwardian Art Nouveau Embroidery This antique table runner is a unique fabulous example of hand made embroidery work. The embroidery needlework is at each end of the table runner and has an art nouveau flower and flourish design. The table runner is further embellished with a metallic trim around the outer edges. The table runner is fully lined. The Edwardian art nouveau table runner probably dates to the early 1900's. Table Runner Measurements: 60" x 19" Table Runner condition: The table runner is in good pre-owned condition with some small flaws. First imperfection- Close to the center of the table runner. There is a small circular stain which may or may not come out with cleaning(see photos) alongside a hole(read info re second imperfection(see photos 4-7) Second imperfection- ... moreThere is a break to the silk which has created a hole where the stain is. Although there is the hole. Because the table runner is fully lined it is a littles less noticeable. There is also a pea size hole close to the hole at the outer edge of the silk runner and the metallic thread(see photos 6 and 7) Third imperfection- On the metallic trim. The trim has come loose from the edge in 3 spots and just needs to be tacked down with a needle and thread. Specifically. There are 2 spots approximately 4 inches where the trim is loose as well as some broken threads on the metallic trim. One 1 spot loose approximate 1 1/2" see photos provided) The silk table runner has darkened with age and is a golden shade of color.
