Condition: Used Location: Lake Dallas, United States 18th century solid oak Butlers Hutch This was purchased over 30 years ago at the Antique Buyers guild( The old Helms Bakery L.A) We where told at the ... moretime of the purchase that it dates to the late 1700's and was made in the Adam period French in origin. It is a impressive piece of furniture. It is all hand carved solid oak. The cabinets each have one shelf inside bottom is sagging so I placed a piece of hard board in there. It has a incredible dark patina. It measures approx. 94 1/2" tall 47" wide under 24" deep The hutch is attached to the base using dowels So it lifts off the base From what I remember they only stick out a inch You need at least a 8' ceiling. My home was built in the late 1940's so the ceilings are 8'2" a newer home might be a tight fit. Years ago because I was concerned about earthquakes I attached 2) 2"x4"s to the back to make it sturdier. They are stained to match. So for those of you with a tight fit. I think it could be set up without the dowels across the back because of the 2" x4"s the 2 spindles in the front supporting the hutch also come off. There are dowels sticking out both ends. You could leave one end in and maybe put a screw trough the bottom. One other modification I noticed will up inside the cabinet is that wood was added on both sides under the base's top( I would guess the top may have been sagging under the weight of the Hutch) hence the addition. There are 2 small dowels missing on the rail on the inside( good place) hardly noticeable. One small piece gone off the top. Again hardly noticeable. I didn't catch it when I bought it. Other then that as you can see it is impressive without being over bearing. I don't need to sell so I don't plan on dropping my prices. This price is what I want to part with it. Lenoir, North Carolina-the underside of the table is also stamped: Oval Table-Cherry-29-etc. Made of Cherry wood-medium, chestnut brown stain allows for much of the grain in the wood to show. Set consisted of table with removable center piece-5 regular chairs and one captain's chair with arms-hutch and buffet. I bought these 20 years ago and now am getting different furniture. I had the seats professionally reupholstered long ago to match my decor(olive green/goldish print)I have always kept seat pads on the chairs when in use-so the seats are in great condition. Table measures 58" x 40" x 30 1/2" tall-with an additional center piece that measures 12" wide. The Hutch is 47" x 15" x 70" tall. The Buffet is 57" x 17 1/2" x 30 1/3" tall. Overall very nice condition-normal wear for being 84 years old. Some things I would mention are that the wood color of the center piece section is darker than the rest of the table, it was like that when I bought it-possible meant for contrast or maybe because it was stored out of the light)also a slice of the corner wood has broken off as can be seen the the picture-back rt corner of section. Also-a bit of wood had chipped off the top corner of the table leg(tiny but I mention it to be exact-not seen from the top) The legs screw off with attachment bolts to remove them for storage. Also, one chair missing a decorative wood curve on front leg-shown in pic. Also- scratch on table top-6" and 1 1/2"shown in last pic. If I missed something-please ask. The color of the hutch in the first pic is the true color-rich and beautiful. On each side of the table there is 1 drawer. The other handle is decoratively fixed(meaning it looks like there is 2 drawers on each side but only one is an actual drawer that opens) Table measures 26D x 37L x 30H. Condition: Used Location: Waukesha, United States Scranton Attic. Kroehler Mid Century Modern Walnut Server/ China Cabinet. Wonderful. Walnut server made by"Kroehler" around the middle of the ... moreprevious century. It is a single unit; the top and bottom halves do not separate. The lower half has a 2-door cabinet and 3 drawers. The upper half has a single door cabinet, another cabinet with 2 sliding glass doors, and 3 drawers. I think the round drawer pulls are original, and the door pulls are replacements. There is an adjustable shelf in both upper cabinets. The shelf in the glass door cabinet has a groove running from side to side. To allow you to stand your China. Unfortunately, we only have 3 of the shelf pins to hold the shelves in place; more could be purchased at a hardware store. The upper 3 drawers are lined with black felt, and have a wooden divider in the middle running from front to back for utensils. Restoration: This piece was salvaged from an affluent home in Northeastern Pennsylvania. When we found it. The finish was faded by sunlight and the wood was dry. Since then. We've oiled the piece several times to re-moisturize the wood and bring out the original beauty of the finish. We cleaned the glass doors and the hardware. We also tightened all screws from top to bottom, and now it's frame is tight and sturdy. The finish. For the most part is in very good condition. However, there are a few spots where the finish is in fair condition(i.e. the top of the lower cabinet and the sides) I personally look at it as a unique characteristic that provides insight into the server's past, and also as the character marks that distinguish it from any other piece like it.
