There are a few places in the top carved details where the wood is cracked and beginning to split. There is a small trim piece missing from the front top decorative piece, in the “dragon’s tail”. This can be seen in the photos. The top piece by itself is 40” tall, 48” wide, with the mirror being 23” wide, 29.25” top to bottom, the trim at the top of the piece is 51” wide. Antique tiger oak beveled serpentine mirror carved griffins buffet / sideboard
Here is a fantastic tiger oak buffet/ sideboard with fully carved griffins at the ends of the beveled serpentine mirror. Its ALL original. My grandparents had this when it was new. It has been in my family since day one. Im the last one to have it and its time to let it go. It has been refinished only ONCE. Just re varnished about 30+ ago. Very clean inside and out. No stains, Drawers slide easily! The buffet measures 48 in wide. 24 in deep, and 56 in to top of mirror. 40 in to top of buffet, mirror is almost 17 in tall itself, the serpentine mirror is 3.5 in deep itself and the fully carved griffins are 9.5 in tall and 2.5 in thick. The only things missing are the key to the drawers and some of the metal tab stoppers for the drawers but they can be replaced. The feet are carved lion paws with the wood wheel casters. The back of the mirror ... morehas the number 613 painted on back. Which is probably the model number and the words Doll Class, which may mean the grade of quality of the piece. Its an excellent quality buffet. ALL the tiger oak veneer is present and in excellent condition, This piece needs no work and the mirror is screwed to the buffet with 10 wood screws( it comes off for easy moving) ONLY the bottom linen drawer needed to be re glued& re nailed, the linens were very heavy. A very fine antique. Circa 1880's, quartersawn oak sideboard with mottled brown marble top. The style is a combination of Renaissance and Classical. Two part construction. The top section with column supported shelf has a broken pediment type crest having finial, and spindel gallery. The marble is a meander of gray and cream in a chestnut brown color. The case has two long drawers over a two doored compartment. Fancy brass handles to all oak interior drawers, the doors with carved lion heads on tablets. Includes the lock and key. it measures 5'8" 68" tall by 4'3" 51" wide by 20" deep. the top shelf 7" deep. Below the case is a column supported long shelf over bun feet. Excellent condition: oak boards without chips or cracks, original dark finish. The marble slab is without cracks or chips.

Antique Victorian Mirrored Inlaid Server Marble Top Sideboard English c. 1800's
Stunning Victorian mirrored sideboard or server. This ornate piece features carved decorations cresting each of its three sections. The center section has a large arched mirror with beveled edges. To each side of it are smaller oval beveled mirrors surrounded by filigree inlay and framed by turned columns. Each side section also features a small shelf over a larger serving area with molded edges. While the center section is slightly recessed and has been covered with beautiful rose-colored marble. Below the serving surfaces are two dovetail-jointed drawers with decorative brass bail handle pulls incised with geometric designs that resemble ankhs. The bottom half of this piece features three spacious cabinets, each framed by turned columns and with a mirrored and inlaid door that is opened with a key. This piece most likely dates from the ... moremid 1800's and is English in style and probably originated there. This piece is in fair to good antique condition with some minor breakage including and small break to the center crest. Breaks to the arched frames around two of the lower mirrors, a sizable chip to the veneer on the center door and a crack through the mirror surround on the upper right side, but no structural damage. Please examine the pictures provided. Otherwise this piece only has light wear associated with age and use. This impressive server stands 84" tall and measures 59" wide and about 17 1/2" deep. A most beautifully designed. Carved, and flame veneered on fronts, antique late Federal/early Empire, solid mahogany sideboard. The finest craftmanship we have had in many years. The four front columns are twist rope carved, carved pinched drape collared, with carved scroll capitols, the front legs carved to match. The uprights between the drawers with relief carved stiff acanthus leaves. The drawers and doors have recessed panels, the drawers with the original mahogany knobs. Behind the doored compartments are three original shelves. Pine case, solid mahogany sides with recessed panel. The top is one fine mahogany board, the backsplash very fine, the side splash with nicely shaped ends. It measures 4'3" 51" tall by 6'1" 64" wide by 2' 24" deep. This unique solid wood sideboard/ buffet was made in Brooklyn. New York in the mid to late 1920’s and owned by my Grandmother, who passed it on to me. The piece has an unusual design and is in great condition considering its use and age. The sideboard measures 40" wide by 39" tall by 20" deep and it has one long drawer. Here is an absolutely fabulous early to mid-19th century heavy carved oak sideboard with hutch top in the tradition of a Welsh dresser with beautiful dragon motif carvings on the doors. A lovely form, hand dovetailed drawers and detailed carving on all edges and trim including dentition on three sides around the top. It has small cabinets behind the ornately carved dragon doors in the hutch section as well as display shelves, and has drawers across the top with more open cabinet space below in the base section, which is where you see the traditionally older construction front to back planking across the bottom. A very wonderful antique. Circa 1890's, quartersawn oak mirrored sideboard with deep carvings of griffin shelf supports, and applied deep carvings of scrolled acanthus leaves. Two piece construction. The case is on front carved stylized paw feet. From the griffin heads to the finials of the mirror frame are carved oak chains. Large beveled mirror. There is a long oak plate bar on the shelf. The two top drawers, and the long drawer beneath, have unusual brass exotic crescent drawer pulls. The right drawer is divided for flatware. The bottom doors each open to a compartment. The secondary wood is plain oak. The sideboard measures 6'3" 75" tall by 5'6" 66" wide by 2' deep. It is a gorgeous piece of antique furniture that can be used in a variety of places within the home. This console would be an excellent piece for any area that you need a narrow depth piece. Such as behind a sofa or in a hallway. A common motif among carved oak Victorian furniture is“the hunt” This console is true to that ... moremotif with carved fish and fowl on the doors complimented by carved flora up the sides and drawers. The drawer handles are actually hand carved leaves. A truly unique and beautiful look. Both drawers function smoothly and were created with hand cut dovetailed joints. This is a sign of proper construction and age. The doors have a keyhole and there is a lock on the right door. But no key exists. There is no catch on the left door either. Despite this, both doors still remain shut when they are closed. Inside is one wooden shelf. It is removable but not adjustable. There is some minor wear on this console as you would expect from a Victorian era antique. This consists mainly of minor wear marks around the bottom moulding and feet. The top has sustained some age separations which are purely cosmetic and do not affect the structural integrity of the piece. You will also see on the right side. Near the top, that the moulding is missing from the small rectangle section. We have called this out in the pictures. Gorgeous Victorian era marble top server or sideboard. This beautiful piece has been capped with a gray and white marble top with rounded corners. The server show signs of high-quality construction including a paneled back and sides and sturdy dovetail joint drawers. The two drawers have fluted edges surrounding burl walnut inlay. Pressed brass pulls with a sun-like like design and silver-friendly linings. The lower cabinet has two doors, each with a burl walnut panel framed in a molded edge. The ring shaped pulls and brass escutcheons are made from brass. This piece most likely dates from the late 19th century. No maker's marks. The server is in good antique condition with some small holes in the marble top. See pictured example. The locks have been removed. Antique Sideboard Circa 1865, Original Mirror, Hardware, Beautiful Condition
This Circa 1865 Sideboard is really beautiful. I had it restored to it's original beauty. It is very solid and hand carved with Brass handles- all original. The mirror is original. Size is approximately 51" Wide X 77" High X 25" Deep. I am not sure of the wood type. But I believe it is either Mahogany or Walnut. This is a work of art by a wonderful craftsman. The Drawers are hand cut in front and pegged in back. I had this piece restored and paid over $2500 for the restoration alone. This piece is valued at $4200. This is a sacrifice. This is a very nice 1890s vintage small oak sideboard. The finish is so nice I'm guessing it might have been refinished sometime in the past 10 years. It's very pretty and very clean. It has a very unusual pull-out. Felt-covered, desk-style board! I've never seen this feature before on a piece like this. A very handsome, but not huge like so many other buffets. ANTIQUE BEVELED MIRROR CHINA CABNET SIDEBOARD - ALL ORIGINAL - EARLY 1900s
I purchased this wonderful piece from the original owners. An elderly couple in their 90s. There are maker's marks on the back that I cannot identify(see last picture) To the best of my knowledge, it is all original: the pulls, handles, lock covers, etc. are beautifully designed brass. A small portion of a metal railing on the top of the china cabinet is missing. The keys are original, the large key is for the china cabinet and the smaller one is for the two drawers and the cupboard. The top drawer is lined with purple felt. The mirror is about 1" beveled glass. There is a small, curved-shaped wooden shelf raised and supported by matching wood finials to the left, in front of the mirror and it has a wood railing. Some of the decorative accent pieces are missing but I have some of them(see keys picture) It measures 51" wide by ... more64" tall by 20" deep. The original wood color is best represented in the picture with the cupboard doors open(the lighter color) as the rest of the outer wood is a dark stained finish. It is a wonderful scaled-down example after the originals of a century prior. Throughout the surface, a warm mellowing and patina have developed quite nicely, the result being an overall presentation that is quite above reproach. It is angular with outstanding lines, these accentuated by the fruitwood stringer inlay in each panel and door, bellflowers inlaid above the front two tapered legs. The drawer retains it's first pair of brass knobs, the sides hand dovetailed and the bottom ... moresliding into the sides in routed grooves on either side. It has a wealth of cabinet space, the middle cabinet divided with a single shelf in the interior. This is a fine reproduction for a classical or Federal dining room where space is a challenge and size of furnishings is of important consideration. Well preserved and extremely attractive. This piece allows you to bring early American appeal to the dining room without dominating the space. Measurements: 47 5/8" wide x 17 5/8" deep x 35 3/4" high Condition Report: No key- the right cabinet door swings open when not locked. Light scuffs and dings throughout to the surface: legs with light wear. The top with minor scratches and a darkened area. Repaired crack beside hinge of left-central swinging door, a pair of screws used on the inside to restore this permanently. Slight warp to the right door, not particularly noteworthy. This is a very nice Victorian oak mirrored top backsplash for a sideboard or server. It measures aprox. 42" wide. 41 1/2" at the very bottom x 15" high x 6 1/4" deep at the top. It has the original beveled edge mirror glass which is in very good condition. Overall it is in good condition, some minor loss to the original finish and a little paint at the top right which you can see in the pictures. Antique Craftsman Arts & Crafts Mackintosh Sideboard Circa 1890-1910 Low Reserve
We are pleased to offer this stunning antique craftsman Mackintosh style sideboard with beautiful and all original 1/4" beveled cut glass with a stained glass cherry motif. The cherry motif carries through to the hand formed brass tiles on the lower section of the cabinet and top of the left/right sections. The glass is held in place with brass. The mirror is also original to the piece. The wood is believed to be mahogany. The only identifier is one remaining hand scribed label affixed to the inner left side cabinet that reads"Inglese" We contacted a London based antique dealer who. Based on the photos and information provided, believes this was made in England for export to other European countries. The workmanship is second to none. The piece is comprised of four interlocking sections with very tight tolerances. there's ... moreno wiggling or movement once the pieces are assembled. Disassembled the piece is very easy to transport and move into your home/ rooms. Measurement are: 90" H x 72.5" W x 17.5" D.
