From my mothers estate. Antique dining table with 6 chairs. I believe the wood is maple& it is 1" in thickness. Medium color. The two end chairs have armrests. Measures 45" in width without the leaves. Octagon. There are two leaves each 14 inches in width so it will expand to approx 73" They don't make them like this anymore! Overall in nice condition. Lot of 3 wooden chairs. They appear to be handmade. They are approx. 33 inches tall. The seat is approx 14.5x15.5 inches. I believe these are oak. But I am not an expert on wood, so please judge for yourself. They need some TLC. The wood is rough in spots with some staining, maybe a paint spot or two, a split in the wood at the seat back, as shown in photo) some loose nails or joints.very primitive. They could use a refinishing or they could be used the way they are with their added character, just add a cushion! They may need to be tightened up a bit and some areas are a little loose, but you can sit in them as-is. I used these in my kitchen for a few years, but when I got new chairs these spent a couple of years stored in the shed. They will need a good cleaning. Has two(2) 12 in. original leaves and one smaller makeshift 10 in. leaf that make the table a maximum length of 92 in. long.almost 8 ft. Has 4 double curved legs with claw feet and brass toe caps. The table and leaves are in very nice condition with no major scratches. Comes with a 2 piece. Thick felt table cover protector. Set of six(6) dining chairs are Victorian style with curved legs. Padded upholstered seats and ornately carved backs(please see closeup picture) The fabric on the seats is cream/off-white colored(a little darker than the pictures show) with light rose/pink colored flowers. Superb Antique Sterling Silver Gravy Server or Sauce Boat by Brook& Son of Edinburgh dated 1911 This Antique Gravy Server or Sauce Boat measures approximately 5 5/8 inches or 143 mm across its length from the handle to the pouring lip by 3 1/4 inches or 82 mm across the widest part of its upper body from side to side and it stands 3 5/8 inches or 92 mm tall to the top of its handle. The gravy server or sauce boat is made from 110.6 grams of solid sterling silver in a classical oval shape that stands on three shaped legs that have raised relief stylized shell decorated tops and stepped pad feet. The gravy server or sauce boat has a raised relief panel decorated body with a raised relief rib decorated upper rim and it has a raised relief foliate decorated open scrolling handle with an extended flared pouring lip, this antique dining table ... moregrave server or sauce boat has Not been engraved with a previous owners initials or family monogram and the underside of its body has been impressed with the Scottish silversmith or maker and retailers marks of Brook& Son, 87 George St, Edinburgh all as photographed below, the side of its upper body has been impressed with a full set of English solid sterling silver hallmarks that read as follows, B& S- Crown- Lion Passant- stylized t B& S is the Scottish silversmith or maker and retailers mark of Brook& Son from Edinburgh whose mark is recorded as being used in conjunction with the Sheffield assay office from 1905 to 1919. The Crown is the mark of the Sheffield assay office, the Lion Passant is the mark of English 925 standard solid sterling silver and the stylized t is the date letter for 1911. The condition is used and Excellent for its age. The gravy server or sauce boat has No Large Dents. Unique old shipping/mailroom table purported to have originated in the mailroom at Sears. Roebuck in Stillwater, OK. Table is 78 1/2" long, 35" wide, and 33" tall, and is very sturdy. Has a yardstick attached on the left end. And tacks along the edge, assumption is for measuring something? Two paper rolls on the right end. One is 24" and has a roll of brown paper on it. The other is 18" Sensible" string dispenser mounted on top is 11" tall. Patent date is July 18.1899, and has the number A997. Rare Mahogany Adjustable Height Antique Dining Table / Coffee Table
This is a real gem. I have never seen anything quite like this. There is a mechanism that allows you to collapse the table from standard diner table height 36X36X27 down to standard coffee table height 36X20X16. The sides of the table are also drop leaf and collapse down. Its quite amazing. There are top quality original brass handles and feet caps with rollers. The styling is American Classical and looks to be from the 1800's There is a yellow stenciled serial number on the bottom that reads NO. 1 402 There is also a brand stamp of 3 on the underside of each table panel. Here we have an antique table and 5 chair set. I think it is Mahogany. The table has some wear and scratches in the finish. There are nicks and dings in the wood but nothing real serious.The table comes with two leaf inserts. There are 5 chairs. Two of the chairs need some repairs such as bracing.Look at the photos and you can see the two worst ones are shown separately. The seats are covered but have not been tacked down. The table is in fair shape but could use some care. The chairs are a little worse for wear. One chair has a repair done to an upright. The table could be refinished or used as is. THANKSGIVING& CHRISTMAS ARE JUST AROUND THE CORNER! BEAUTIFUL! Vintage antique dining room set: Drop leaf table in its smallest form measures approximately 24 in. wide by 42 in. deep. Opened without any leaves measures approximately 58 in. long by 42 in. wide. Has two(2) 12 in. original leaves and one smaller makeshift 10 in. leaf that make the table a maximum length of 92 in. long.almost 8 ft. Has 4 double curved legs with claw feet and brass toe caps. The table and leaves are in very nice condition with no major scratches. Comes with a 2 piece. Thick felt table cover protector. Set of six(6) dining chairs are Victorian style with curved legs. Padded upholstered seats and ornately carved backs(please see closeup picture) The fabric on the seats is cream/off-white colored(a little darker than the pictures show) with light rose/pink colored ... moreflowers. The fabric on the seats is in really good condition with no rips or tears, but there are some spots and they could use a good shampooing/cleaning. Overall all the wood on the chairs is also in very nice condition as well. PLEASE NOTE: The back on one of the chairs has broken in half horizontally, but can very easily be fixed. I will leave that up to the buyer who can probably do a better job than myself. This dining set has been in the family for many generations and has been taken very good care of over the years. I don't know and have no way of knowing if the table and chairs originally came together as a set or not. Unfortunately the last person who would know this has recently passed away. It is truly more beautiful than the pictures depict and would be far more appreciated seen in person! With a little work to fix the back of the one chair and clean the upholstery.
