It has 3 hidden compartments and lots of pigeon holes and small drawers. It comes with the keys for the upper hutch. The fold down desk and the small door inside but not the drawers below. It has the original glass, which is wavy and has bubbles in it, in both panels on the left side but not on the right side. One pane is missing on the right side but would be easy enough to replace. Lots of character on this gorgeous old piece. It measures 81 inches high, 47 inches wide and is 23-1/2 inches deep at the bottom. It comes apart in two pieces so the bottom part is 41-1/2 inches high, 47 wide and 23-1/2 deep and the top part is 39-1/2 inches high, 47 inches wide and 12 inches deep. But it will really always be"Grandpa's writing desk" Unfortunately my seller is downsizing their home and grandpa's desk needs to find a new place to go. It is a lovely little piece measuring 39" tall. 27" across and 15" deep. It is in nice condition given it's age, but it does have a small chip out of the front right corner post. You can see it in the photos. The interior is plain with no shelves, drawers or cubbies. The information that I received from the appraisal company is as follows: The drop front oak(not quarter-sawn oak) writing desk is a Mission style Arts and Crafts desk; there is a keyhole in the top of the fall front and a small gallery or backplate on the top back of the desk. There is an"H" stretcher in the middle bottom of the desk and a vertical"X" stretcher on each bottom side of the desk; the legs are quadrant legs; there is one drawer with round brass pulls beneath the fall front. I would date the desk C. 1900-1915; the value would be between $625.00 and $700.00 in today's retail market. Due to the size of this item it will not be available for shipping. The desk is in amazing condition, overall, but does have some light surface ... morescratches and wear from general use, particularly at the edge of the chair opening, most likely from the chair bumping into it in this area. I am unsure of the exact age of the desk. It is most likely a 1970's reproduction of an 18th Century Georgian Design. It has beautifully carved ball and claw feet, and chunky cabiole legs that are also carved at the knees. This desk has five (5) substantial drawers with the original brass bail pull handles, and five (5) faux drawer fronts on the back side also with brass bail pull handles. The drawers have dove tail joints. The desk was in front of a window for years, and therefore the finish on the back side is a bit faded.

I bought this at a yard sale& though someone might want to rehab it. It has not been touched in quite a while it seems& has some damage to its desktop with a few paint splashes. The darker variations on the wood are just droplets of rain that came off of my garage door right before taking the photos. The metal is in need of TLC as it shows signs of wear. Antique Oak Desk and Matching Chair For Sale. The desk measures 47" long.30" tall and 26" wide.The chair slides under it. There are 2 wide drawers on top and 3 drawers on the side. The second drawer needs some repair work done on it. Has some damage inside. The back of the desk has a splintered piece.See picture. This is nothing major. The repairs are minimum and we used it just find without fixing it. We never used the drawer and the issue in back no one could see. There are a few little nicks or dings on the top of the desk just from normal use.all in all in very good condition. Please see all the pictures and enlarge them. I practically swooned when I saw this piece of furniture. This Queen Anne style is one of my favorites. With the cabriole legs in front and the straight legs in back. The hardware on this piece is simply gorgeous, but it is the patina on the old cherry that really knocked me out. Plus, it is solid as a rock, even after all this time. There had been a gallery around the top that broke in two places so I had to take it off-a loss but there is so much else dreamy about this piece that it is hardly missed. Style, etc) to hang it on without any success. The reason being- I really like it. It's a dandy. It's un-restored. Hardwood(not quite sure which) The iron is semi-ornate foundry quality. The wood resembles gun/rifle-stock. I'd like to tell you more about it if I could. If anyone can offer additional info. I'm all ears(and eyes) please do. Dimensions are(at furthest points) 30" Wide/ 15" High from Top shelf to Bottom of Iron/ 8" Deep. The 2 face surfaces. Large knee-hole area. Due to the dovetailed drawers, my guess is it's from the 1930's or earlier, but that is only a guess. There is a small brass plate with a serial number etched into it. This small oval brass piece is located on the front top left corner. Just under the front left corner overhang. It could be a banker's desk, teacher, insurance, attorney, or just about anything. It's a nice BIG work area, and could be great for crafts or even clock repairing. The condition is very good. But it DOES have some issues: Some soiling and dust, some OLD and LIGHT mold? areas(I don't smell anything) a couple larger scratches to the red vinyl top, and some of it is beginning to lift where it hugs the lower overhang area of the desk edge(can staple or tape it down, or peel it all off) There is some green tarnish near the bottom of the brass feet, and unpolished brass drawer handles. Antique Vintage Seth Thomas Desk Clock Brass Inlay Small Mantel Inlaid Beehive
This small Seth Thomas desk clock came from an auction in Vermont. It has a wonderful brass inlaid design on the front. The clock measures only 9 5/8" high. 6 1/8" wide, and 4 7/8" deep. The clock runs and keeps good time. It does not strike. The clock dial has the Seth Thomas markings. The dial is in very good condition. The brass bezel supports a convex, beveled glass face. The glass have a couple of small marks. The face closes securely. The movement is marked 48J with the Seth Thomas markings- ST USA. I am not sure if the key is original to the clock. The cabinet has a few small marks and one corner has a rub line on the edge, see the 10th picture. I believe the dial to be porcelain.

Antique cherry slant front desk. I did some research on the web as I have never seen one before found one almost alike on ebay. In nice condition considering I believe it to be from the early 1900's. Brass wheels with ball bearings in them along with a heavy black rubber wheel. On the wheels reads Noelting Faultless Evansville Indiana. No other makers mark. Measures 32-1/4" l x 16" w x 27" tall. This is a wonderful antique Arts& Crafts Mission Oak drop front desk. I believe called a'Chalet' desk. It has cut out heart designs with high flat shelf arms on each side. Straight desk lid that you have to carefully lower with cubby holes inside. Beautiful oak that was refinished professionally several years ago. Overall in great condition. ~would have been nice if it had original finish but looks great finished~ It measures 47 1/2" high x 38" wide(from top shelf to opposite top shelf) x 14" deep(front to back) I don't know the maker. Vintage school desk/seat combination. The wood is all oak. This unit is in excellent condition. Both the wood and the cast iron legs/frame are excellent. No chips. Cracks, breaks or repairs in either. The cast iron metal casting is beautiful. The curved portion of the seat where you sit folds up and down like a charm. Cast on both sides is PL4. Note that all the flared casting are perfect for floor mounting. No breaks or chips in any of the feet. It has the place for the ink well. There is wear on the desktop. Up for No reserve auction is this nice Lemania watch co. desk travel clock. Great time keeper. The Main feature of the clock is 8 day wind power indicator showing you the reserve left so you never miss winding it. Extremely rare and original movement was professionally cleaned and serviced. Crystal is clean no chips or scratches. Some wear on the dial. Hands have l uminous material loss. All the parts of the clock are original. Gilded case is not polished and have some patina. Dial is original non refinished. Rare caliber 42 mm movement was seen numbered in Cartier clock i recently sold. It dates this the clock to 1920's. Bezel size is 65 mm. weight is 274 g. Large Antique Secretary Desk/Cabinet with glass doors & pull down desk
I am selling a very nice(and very large! antique secretary/desk/cabinet. This belonged to my husband's grandparents or great-grandparents. We believe it was made in the mid to late 1800s. We have other furniture of their's and we know that is when those were made. Therefore leading us to believe the same about this piece. We do not know for sure it's history- both of my in-laws passed away several years ago, so we cannot get the full history. This piece is in two sections: the top sits down in the bottom cabinet. The bottom section has two doors with two shelves inside that are great for storage. The top section has glass doors at the top, with three shelves inside. Under the glass doors are two door on the ends, with a pull down"desk" in the middle. There are small drawers and shelves inside that section. The dimensions ... moreare approximately 6 ft. 10 in. tall. 5 ft. wide, and 21 in. deep on the bottom. It has been well taken care of. We believe the finish is original. As no re-finishing was done to it while in my in-laws possession. Overall the piece is in excellent condition for it's age, with a few minor scratches. Local pick up only. It's kingwood. With a tooled leather writing surface, a reeded gilded top edge& crisp ormolu mounts all over. This desk has a wonderful shape all over& looks the same back& front. There is a drawer on the front part with a key, which was working, but for some reason we couldn't open it when we photographed it. We have sent this piece back to our restorer to fix& it will be working fine. The drawer is open now, but my restorer advises ... morenot to lock it, because the lock is too old. We could always have a new key cut for the lock, but it's easy to just open the drawer without a key. I would date this piece to around the 1860-80's period, but it could be much older. You are bidding on a PICK-UP ONLY ITEM: antique mahogany secretary desk circa 1940s. This big old secretary. It does have a few features caused by the damp concrete that we want to declare. The drawers of this item are hard to open(but they do open) and there are scratches and needs more cleaning. Because of this we are listing this secretary for less than half its value. The secretary has original brass hardware. It has a really nice 8 1/2" tall turned finial on top of the traditional'broken arch' top. It has two fixed shelves in the bookcase top behind glass doors with original fret work over the glass. It has a big mechanical lid or writing surface in good condition but for a tiny veneer chip(no cracks) The interior of the desk is serpentine shaped with 3 drawers. A doored compartment, and six other compartments. The secretary ... moredrawers have serpentine fronts, are all dovetailed and in good shape. Also comes with key that opens a few doors on this piece. Today I present this marvelous beautifully aged brass and smoked glass 4 tiered old fashioned filing/organizational system.perhaps originally in an exectutive's office/ a CEO's office. perhaps a doctor's office.or an attorney's office? I really honestly do not know the origin of this vintage/antique piece of functional(if dated) furniture. Perhaps one would consider this for magazines.maps. Antique Walnut Writing Table / Desk By Sligh 1920's
Lovely antique writing table from Sligh. American furniture maker from Grand Rapid Michigan. Dating from the 1920's, the delicately curved tabletop features a hand painted floral motif at the center as well as painted triangular detailing and faded, barely visible gilding. The drawer has dovetail joinery and the Sligh Grand Rapids sticker is still visible on the interior. The beautifully carved legs provide an added finish to this feminine desk and it is small enough that it would be wonderful in a bedroom as a bedside table or at the foot of a bed. It could also be used as a console behind a sofa or at the entrance of your home. It measures 32 inches tall, 26 inches wide and 21 inches deep.
