Blemishes and specks in the glazing like all good old porcelain should have. The blemishes are hard to get to show in the pictures. There are no chips or cracks. The parts were sprayed with 2 coats of clear acrylic lacquer finish made by Sherwin Williams that is specially made for cast iron. This is far better than any hardware store spray paint and has superior scratch resistance. So that's it, anything that doesn't have it's own keeper is outta here. Adios it's gone. There are lots of sites online that sell the new repro Craftsman latch keepers for these exact model of latches in all the traditional original finishes. We only list original pieces. So that's not much help to us. This is a very special. Early, pie safe from North carolina. Pie safe has punched tin screens on the sides and on the doors. Unique in size, pie safe measures 37" wide 17" deep 50 1/2" high. This piece is in good condition for its age and stands very sturdy. The top has two metal pieces covering up holes in the top where the knotted wood must have fallen out. I’ve seen these used on transom windows, cabinets, casement windows almost anyplace you’d like to use a unique looking latch. The latch and keeper will work on either right or left hand side of door or window. The latches ... moreare cast iron and the keepers are steel. The condition is very good with the latches having age darkening dings and scratches and loss of finish from age. All I did to these was a quick wiping down with an oiled rag. The approximate measurements of the latch base is 2 1/8” x 1 1/8” The handle or grasp is 2 ½” The keeper is 1 ½” wide x 1 7/8” Free first class shipping in a padded envelope. Please check out my other latches I have listed. Oil has been applied but they should have a final cleaning and clear coated or painted for continued protection. The bottom had a shelf, but it's missing. There is a small hole, looks like it was made for something. The one side shows a typical Pennsylvania drawing of a bird with hearts in red. Antique 19th century 16 drawer apothecary cabinet. This piece has a deep. Rich patina to the wood and original wooden pulls. There are some imperfections, ex. one drawer has a chip(see photos) Overall it is wonderful and would make a great kitchen island and work space. It has a butcher block top that may not be original to the piece but is a very nice marriage of the two pieces. The drawers are solid wood except for the drawer bottoms, they are made of a pressed board. The back of the piece has a piece of molded tin that has been attached- also probably no original to the piece. As you can see this is profusely carved piece with flower and leaf detailing and lots of turned spindles. This is a two piece dresser with two cupboard doors to the base with two drawers above. The upper section is a double door food cupboard with single shelf to the interior.
