Behold! The Radio Vitant Device! Curer of disease! That’s right. During the mid 19th century to the mid 20th century quack devices like this were peddled coast to coast. They were sold as cure-all devices. Many claimed to cure everything for arthritis to baldness. The Radio Vitant included, in fact, this device was also supposed to cure“infant paralysis” The Radio Vitant relies on light and heat to assert its healing properties on the patient. The afflicted would spend the prescribed amount of time in front, or under the light, and Voila! Cured! This type of light therapy was so popular that Walter Reed hospital had utilized versions of this same device and manufacturer on its patients during the early years of the last century. Charming Antique Wood and Old Glass Doors Wall Cabinet Painted inside
This is a Charming Old Wood Wall Cabinet with Wood Framed Old Glass Doors. The Cabinet has a nice curved detail at the top edge and a base which enables the piece to set on a countertop or table if you do not want to mount it on a wall. There are two metal straps attached to the back for mounting on a wall. The Cabinet is finished a dark antique brown outside and pale green paint inside with two shelves. Antique Weis 6 Drawer Wooden Flat File Cabinet Desk Counter Top Document
Circa 1910 Weis document file cabinet for a desk or countertop. Has it's original mahogany finish(though I think the wood is actually birch) By this time in our country's manufacturing age cabinet woods were starting to get pricey. Furniture manufacturers were starting to use veneers and stains to simulate more expensive solid wood. The start of the Industrial Age to 1910 saw the diminishment of our great forrest stands of timber. This cabinet boasts it's original label on the top as well as original file drawer pulls. The drawers fronts have light finish loss. Please use the magnify feature to see this. Luckily none of the previous owners used any type of permanent paper in the file slots inside the drawer pulls. The inside bottom of all of the drawers have a hole so that legal documents could be stored that took up all of the ... moredrawers interior volume. You would pull the drawer open and insert your finger underneath and up through the hole to lift the pile of documents so that you just slide off the amount that you needed without wrinkling the documents. This cabinet measures 10 1/2" tall. 9 13/16" wide and 15 7/8" deep including the drawer pulls. The drawers measure 1" deep, 8 5/8" wide and 14 1/4" deep. The drawer measurements are the usable interior dimensions. The drawers are for the most part are very clean with just one of them having a small amount of dry residue. The drawers do not have any odor. The exterior of the cabinet is of fingerjoint construction with the inerior drawers being nailed. The exterior joints are very solid. The cabinet has various light scratches and some pinpoint paint drips. The top has a very small area of finish loss. The sides near the front of the cabinet have some slight finish loss as well. Facing the cabinet, it's right side has some finish loss along the bottom edge. This same side has a tight crack about 1 1/2" long coming up from the bottom. it is not very noticeable. This is one the best antique Curio/ Medicine Cabinets you'll ever run across. I would date this to the late 19th to early 20th century. I'm not sure if this is ma de of oak or another wood. It has a wonderful glow to it. The piece has a round beveled mirror measuring 6 1/2" in diameter with the most beautiful inlay surrounding it. N otice the inlay pattern, this is detail you just don't see anymore! The entire piece measures 14 1/2" tall by 12" wide and 5" deep. You can see there are holes in the back panel where it was once hung on a wall. You could also stand this up on a piece of furniture. There is a small 1 1/2" in length registration numbered plaque on the side. Inside there is a stamp to the wood and what looks to be remnants of a small paper label. For sale is an antique Victorian style secretary desk. This desk is from the late 1800's and has been partially restored at some point. It appears to have some newer brass finished handles and lock bezels. There are some very unique carvings along the top spindles and on the drop down leaf. There is a key for the desk lock. But it does not appear to work the lock. The wood appears to be solid cherry. The mirror has been replaced and the shelves are glass(does not appear to be original) The rear of the cabinet seems to have been replaced and was painted. It stands 40 inches tall by 19 inches wide and 14 1/2 inches deep. It has 2 inside shelves plus the base. On the bottom it has 4 divided storage areas. When we lived in Vermont it was given an inperson pre-auction estimate in 2006 of 18K to 22K by the owner/appraiser of a prominent New England auction house. We were not ready to part with it at that time. Today corner cabinets are not bringing what they use to but still have great value. We are offering this amazing country cabinet with original grain paint that was done in imitation of flame grain mahogany. Wealthy people bought furniture made of fancy woods and country folk bought painted furniture made to look like fine woods but were made of poplar and pine. antique clark's quartersawn oak spool cabinet with base and 9 drawers wonderful
for auction is a very nice and not found ofter 9 drawer antique quartersawn oak spool cabinet. it looks to be clark's. But there is no makers mark i can find. at any rate, you will not find one make any better. it is a fabulous near mint condition spool cabinet. it is heavy and sturday with no loose joints or separation. the top is two inches thick. it has quartersawn oak decorative pieces on the sides near the front. it sits on a base, most did not have bases, but this looks to be original to the cabinet and shows the same patina. it could be used as an end table or night stand or you could stand an elephant on it, it it that sturdy. would make a nice jewelry cabinet or a catch all for just about anything. it is a great piece with no damages, there are a few minor blemishes here and there from normal use over the last 100 years or so, ... morenone of which are noticeable nor do they take from its function, actually just adds patina to the cabinet. i cleaned and polished it, the knobs are porcelain and i do not know if they are original or not. they were filthy and i removed them to clean several decades of grim and black film from them. many had wooden knobs, these however are porcelain. the screws are original and did not appear that they had ever been removed. the holes are tight and firm with no wiggle or wobble etc. it may be picked up at my home or shipped at buyer's expense. good luck.

1800's Tiger Oak Antique China Curio Cabinet
This is a Beautiful Curved glass China/Curio Cabinet with Tiger Oak detail throughout the wood. This piece stands 5 ft 4" Tall and 5ft 9" Surround not including the back which is flat. The back 3ft 5.5" accross. The sides are arched and the front is slightly curved. The back has a 5" fracture line in the knot of the wood which does not look man made. Rather made naturally from the wood. The front door closes however does not lock and the ornament of the lock is missing, just a whole under the door knob(looks like it could easily be replaced. of course no key. There are 4 adjustible shelves with 2 plate lines per shelf(You are only seeing 3 shelves as I took out 1 shelf for display) From research I believe this is around 1860's. UPS Freight, Local P/U. Which indicates that it was built somewhere in the late 1800's(according to information seen on the internet) The company was located in New York City, but there was a local vendor in Rochester. The piano is black, with an ornate carved front, carved legs, and the interior is gold colored with black fine painted details. It was purchased by my Mother around 1960, was played by three of us, and has not been moved from its location since. It has been tuned, but not recently. These are primarily used on casement windows but they work well and look great on cabinets or other places you’d like to use a unique looking latch. The latch and keeper will work on either right or left hand side of door or window. The keepers are not the original to the latches. The keepers were modified so the latch could be surface mounted and ... morethe keeper would be semi mortised in the jam. The latches are cast bronze– brass and the keepers are steel. The working condition is very good with the latches having age darkening and loss of finish from usage. All I did to these was a quick wiping down with an oiled rag so you’re getting them in as found condition. But solid brass/bronze will polish up superbly using a buffing wheel with a dab of brass polish on a power drill. The approximate measurements of the latch is 6 ¼” long x 1 1/8” and the center to center of the screw holes is 1 3/8’ x ½” And the keeper is 1 5/8” wide x 1 5/8” and the center to center on the screw holes are 1” Free first class shipping in a padded envelope. Antique Primitive Oak Curio Medicine Wall Cabinet
DESCRIPTION I would like to point out that this cabinet has not been cleaned up or refinished. There is some trim that needs to be repaired also. I will leave that up to the new owner. I am not an expert on wood but looks like Oak to me with the exception of the back and possibly the shelves. I see no veneer. Outside measures 22" tall. 18" wide and 6 3/4" deep. Top piece measures 19 7/8" wide and 7 5/8" deep. Inside shelves are 6 1/2" deep. Inside drawer measures 16 1/4" wide, 5 3/4" front to back and 3" deep. Back has holes for hanging on a wall or can stand alone. Looks like possibly handmade. This came out of an old house in what is now our Historic District. Antique vintage library desk file 7 drawer cabinet industrial apothecary
Up for auction to U.S. customers only is a very nice old 7 drawer oak cabinet. It measures 13 inches tall x 11-1/2 inches wide and 9 inches deep. I believe this was originally part of a desk. Probably a rolltop, and fitted into a corner of the desk surface; all but two sides were oak, one side is pine and a second side, also probably unfinished pine, has had oak plywood added. There are some scratches and, as the pictures show, one of the drawer pulls is unlike the others, created using a brass card holder and knob(works fine, but replacement pulls can be purchased on ebay) What's interesting about the cabinet is that it can be turned upside down and the drawers will still fit and work fine- just depends on whether you want the largest drawers on top or on the bottom(see pictures) The large drawers are 1-1/2 inches high; the small drawers ... more4 inches wide and 3 inches high(note they are fashioned like scoops) and the openings that hold envelopes are 1 inch wide by 6 inches tall. There are also a few scratches but overall the finish is in really nice condition. A really nice, practical and handy storage file for all that loose stuff around the house. Offered is this vintage/antique hanging medicine cabinet with a Mission-style or Arts& Crafts look. It has an oak door with frosted glass and a ceramic pull. The cabinet itself is probably pine. The shelves inside have been painted white. The cabinet is 20” high. 16” wide and 8” deep. The door is in very good condition. The cabinet body is in good condition. There are some scratches and wear to the finish. The pull may be a replacement but the hinges and glass look original. The back is drilled with four holes so the cabinet can be hung with the door opening either way. It could even be hung horizontally with the door lifting up. This Secretary stands 67" tall, measures 39" across the front and 14" deep from the front to the back. It's in very good vintage condition for it's age& will hold a great deal of items. Vintage/Antique? Florentia Gilt Toleware Hanging Box/Cabinet Hinged Door Italy
For your consideration we are offering this lovely gold gilt toleware box/cabinet from Italy. The hinged box has two hooks on the back for hanging on the wall. The box has a wonderful patina which comes only from age. This is a recent find from a local estate combined moving sale. The box had a hanging tag on it identifying the piece as belonging to grandma unreadable name. I do not have an age for this piece. The box is lined with red cloth which appears to be felt. I do not know if this lining is original. The door of the small box/cabinet has a lovely cream toleware with a branch and lyre accented with gold gilt on the center design and along the edge. The body of the box has the same pattern and gold gilt. This box has not been cleaned to protect the patina. The box has wear from age. See photo's. Here is a lot of 4 different very small antique keys. The smallest is only 1 1/16 inches long. The next is 1 1/8 inches long. The longest is 1 1/4 inches. They are all steel. These old keys all have that nice cabinet key shape with the hollow barrels. Keys like this were usually used for jewelry boxes. Small pieces of furniture, or very small padlocks. Antique Royal Doulton Cabinet Plate, Cypress Pattern , Transfer Ware
This auction is for an antique plate by Royal Doulton. Early 1900s. It has an impressed mark 6-05 and I was told that 05 indicated 1905. This features a brownish and green transferware pattern with cobalt blue accents. The pattern name is on the back and it is Cypress. This measures 10 1/2" in diameter. It does have crazing which you can see on the white portion of the plate. It seems a lot of white porcelain from that time shoes crazing. There is a small chip on the underside of the rim of the plate as seen in the last photo. It doesn't show from the front. Only when you turn it over. Otherwise. In very good condition for its age. They carry the APK Pynacker mark. They are in the old tradition with classic shapes and have lions atop the jars' lids. They are entirely hand painted with traditional Delft polychrome colors and decorations. They are in good antique condition with the typical glaze loss. Shallow chips and glaze crazing that is always present on old Delftware. We do not see any restorations or cracks.
