Up for auction from the estate of a New York designer is an antique Minton chamber pot with a pink border a gold leaf rim and gold flower design. This charming piece was imported by Davis Collamore& Co. of New York. It measures 5 inches high and 9 1/4 inches in diameter. And is in good vintage condition. The handle is perfectly intact. It is white in color with gold line details. A lot of it showing wear. The pot itself measures 5" tall and about 9" in diameter. There are some natural imperfections inside, a few of which are ... morelightly discolored. There are no chips or cracks that I can see but there is some light crazing. The lid is almost as heavy as the pot. It has light crazing all over as well, with wear of the gold that once was on the edge and the handle. The handle has a nice design. There is a 1" narrow chip on the inside center part of the rim of the lid, and one spot about the same that has not chipped off but it has the cracks present on 3 sides, I would say. It still seems intact, and both are unseen when the lid is on. Those issues do not affect it in any way, as the rest of the lid is fine. The bottom does have a blue mark that I haven't been able to identify, as it is blurry. Overall this is a great estate auction piece with lots of character! It would be great displayed and used for storage in the bathroom for anything from makeup to washcloths to hiding your hairbrush and hair accessories. It would also be a great display in your guest room full of grandma's heirlooms, as that could have been where a chamber pot was kept in the days when used. Vintage Ceramic Ironstone Chamber Pot or Planter with Scalloped Desig n- Not Marked( flowers not included! Pre-owned vintage chamber pot(could be used as a planter too) found at an estate sale in good used condition. This weighty piece(over 3 1/2 lbs. is ceramic. I believe it would be considered ironstone. The creamy off white glossy finish shows crazing. One of the crazing veins has discoloration and appears in the pi cs as if it is a crack- it is not a crack. There is an area on the rim where the finish is a little bumpy and discolored(see pics) There are no cracks but there are some fleabites. I found this at a thrift store. It is 10 3/4" across with handle. 8 1/2" without and 5 3/4" tall. It weighs almost 4 lbs. Made in England from 1880 to 1896 going by the back stamp. It is in amazing condition. It has no chips cracks or crazing. There is a very small spot on the top of the handle that is a manufacturers defect or a spot of wear, see last 2 pics. It could be repaired. Amazing condition for being about 125 years old. This would make a great decor piece or maybe a planter?

Up for auction is a beautifully preserved early 1900s ceramic chamber pot with the Knowles. Taylor& Knowles maker mark on the base. This has been in our family for four generations, and we are now cleaning and downsizing some of our heirlooms. The base has a tri-scalloped pattern, and the handly of the lid is crown-shaped. There is a superficial crack that runs 3/4 of the length of the thick lid. But it doesn't go completely through the lid-it is a surface crackle only. There are no other chips, cracks or repairs on this heavy, clean and handsome pot. With the lid on it stands approximately 7 1/2 inches tall, and the diameter of the pot's rim is 8 inches. It is stamped Marquette WS George 110A Pot measures approx 12" high with lid. 9" across the opening. It has an iron handle with wood. There is crazing but nothing major to the pot- There is a thin crack across the top which you can see in the pictures. Not too noticeable. No chips on the pot Overall for its' age I consider this to be in pretty good condition for an item that is approx 100 yrs old. I originally bought this pot to use on my porch& plant flowers in it-however when I found out the history of this item. I rather sell it to someone who collects antiques Since I am not familiar with antiques I am starting this bid off low and let you be the judge on what it is worth.
