Antique John Maddock Royal Vitreous China Chamber Pot and Ewer 1860 Poppy HUGE!
These gorgeous pieces of Royal Vitreous were made by John Maddock and Sons. In England, circa 1860. The pattern is POPPY. The background is white with a lot of gold, and the poppies in bright deep blue. The ewer is 11 inches tall. And measures 9 1/2 inches from the edge of the handle to the tip of the spout. The top opening is 5 1/2 inches in diameter. The widest part of the body measures 7 1/2 inches. Trimmed in gold at the upper edges. The chamber pot. Or slop pot, stands a tall 13 1/2 inches, with the lid. It is 10 1/2 inches from handle tip to handle tip. It is 10 1/2 inches in diameter. A fabulous piece! The box of tissues are NOT included. antique 1800's White ceramic chamber pot John Maddock England Great condition!
I found this at a thrift store. It is 10 3/4" across with handle. 8 1/2" without and 5 3/4" tall. It weighs almost 4 lbs. Made in England from 1880 to 1896 going by the back stamp. It is in amazing condition. It has no chips cracks or crazing. There is a very small spot on the top of the handle that is a manufacturers defect or a spot of wear, see last 2 pics. It could be repaired. Amazing condition for being about 125 years old. This would make a great decor piece or maybe a planter?

Up for your bidding consideration is this antique Chamber Pot made by Maddock's Lamberton. The chamber pot has its original top cover. These antique pots are getting harder and harder to find and to find one with a cover is even more difficult. The pattern is floral with pink roses and leaf. The pot and cover have golden accents/trim. The top opening measures a generous 9.0 inches in diameter. The heavy chamber pot is in excellent condition with NO breaks. Cracks, or chips. A nice clean piece inside and out. Note, some of the pictures may suffer from glare. Be sure to take a moment and look at my other auctions this week. This wonderful set features a large wash bowl, pitcher, chamber pot, toothbrush holder, 2pc towel holder and 4pc soap dish. Set is original to the period and feature a lovely pink rose motif with black accents on a white ground. This elegant set is sure to offer an authentic period look to any bedroom. It is truly remarkable to find such a great old set complete in such nice condition. Please see my other auctions for more fine antique porcelain and collectibles! Date: Circa mid to late 1800s. Backstamps/Marks/Signatures: Each piece has brown"John Maddock& Sons Royal Vitreous England" backstamp on the bottoms. See photos. Size: Wash bowl is 16" diameter x 5" high. Pitcher is 11" high ... morex 10 inches wide. Chamber pot is 11" wide including handle x 9" diameter x 5 1/2" high, toothbrush holder is 5 1/2" high x 4" wide, towel holder is 9" diameter x 3" high, soap dish is 3 1/4" high including lid x 6" diameter. Condition: Condition varies slightly between piece but overall very good vintage condition. There is some crazing particularly on the towel holder and soap dish pieces with the holes and chamber pot. Towel holder also has a bit of discoloration. Toothbrush holder has a chip on the rim. Pitcher is in excellent shape. Free of any chips or cracks, just a bit of wear to the gold painted rim. Wash bowl has some wear to the gilded edge as well and some crazing as well. Chamber pot has a repair on the rim, about an inch x 3/4" triangular shaped piece that has bee repairs back in. Some areas of discoloration as well inside and some scuffing on the bottom. Some general signs of light wear from age, use and storage and some scuffing on the bottom rims. This rare antique Chamber Pot offered for sale carries the mark of manufactured of between 1880 and 1896. This lovely serving piece has yellow goldenrod design and guilded with gold. It stands over 5" tall without the lid and it is over 8" wide. This piece is over 100 years old and is in excellent condition. This is a"MUST" for any collector. Please see pictures. It's Beautiful

Antique Pitcher, Bowl and Chamber Pot by John Maddock & Sons
Offering this gorgeous old Royal Vitreous pitcher. Bowl and covered chamber pot by John Maddock& Sons. Based on the mark, it was made between 1880 and 1896 in England. The pieces are in excellent condition. The gold gild shows minor wear on the rim of the 11" tall pitcher. At its widest part, the pitcher circumference is 27" The bowl at its widest is 16" wide. The handle on the lid of the chamber pot has been reattached- so near perfect it is hard to tell. Color is slightly of-white with green ferns and the pitcher handle has spattered gold gild, as does the rim of the bowl and lid of the pot. Gild on the pot handle has worn off. One Royal Porcelain Maddock's Works. Lamberton Chamber Pot with handle, no lid. This very nice pot measures 9 inches wide x 5 inches high. The blue stamp is on the bottom. I see no chips and no cracks in the pot or lid. This is a very rare piece to find without flaws.

Antique late 1800 handpainted porcelain Chamber Pot. Trade mark Royal semi porcelain John Haddock&Sons England. Being white in color with floral clusters of pink roses with gold leaves and branches and misted with gold dust. The handle have raised ribbed texture going up and being shaped for a hand to carry. Size measuring 5 1/2" high with a diameter of 8" This pot has no chips.Cracks,repairs or crazing. The inside bottom does have several flea bites. There is also some gold paint loss on the handle. Otherwise this piece is in very good condition! Just a wonderful piece to add to any collection!

aAt a recent Estate Sale I picked up this very old Chamber pot. The Chamber Pot was made by John Maddock& Sons from England. The bottom is marked and the marking indicate that this Chamber pot was made sometime around 1906. This is a Royal Semi Porcelain Chamber pot. The Chamber Pot measures 6" tall without lid and 8" tall with lid attached. The pot is 8 1/2" in diameter. The pot is creamy white with decorative handle. The lid also has a decorative handle. The chamber pot is in excellent condition considering it is over 1 100 years old, there is a small chip on the lid, please see my pictures.

Slop pot) and had various uses around the house, but mainly for collecting the contents of the night's"deposits" from chamber pots in each bedroom. Then the hapless person to whom the job was assigned schlepped the contents out to wherever human waste was disposed of for that family. They were also used to collect kitchen scraps which were later fed to pigs. Thus, slopping the pigs…slop jar. GORGEOUS PINK WILD ROSES AND LILY OF THE VALLEY PATTERN. ITEM IS SOLD AS IS.
