Lid looks to have been dipped in some sort of brown stain(don't know why anyone would do that" Looks OK I see a small crack in the pot near the handle(not a big deal) There are a couple of cracks in the lid also not a big deal but there is a good sized chip along the edge of the lid. This was my mother in law's& we got it when she passed. My wife used it in the bathroom for spare TP. Kinda neat Would also make a great plant pot. Royal Ironstone China Alfred Meakin Ltd Chamber Pot W/Lid-England-Late 1800's
These chamber pots are very collectible and rare. Especially with the lid. This one also has a crocheted lid cover. There is a chip on the lid(mostly on the underside) and a few small cracks on the lid. The pot has no chips, cracks, damage, or repairs. The pot is 5" high and with lid approx 7 1/2" high. The bowl part is approx 8 5/8" across and from the handle across is approx 11" I really like this piece but we will be moving in 3 years and we are downsizing. This is a very heavy piece.

I got this antique ironstone chamber pot from an estate sale in Ohio. This was quite dirty and I cleaned it up some. It had a note taped inside that I will send along with it. It tells who it belonged to and has it dated 1824. One side of the pot has some black stains that look like mildew. It isn't pitted. So it's possible this may come out with further cleaning. This is a wonderful antique chamber pot in great condition. It is white with blue pin-stripping and the lid has a decorative handle with embossed design. The bowl and lid are in great condition for an antique piece with no chips. There is some minor scratches and wear but they do not detract for the value of the pot. The bottom is stamped"Warranted Royal Ironstone China" with the Li on and Unicorn makers mark and Charles Meakin England underneath. Antique white chamber pot made in the late 1800's Very nice condition for its age! Bowl measures 8 1/2 inches in diameter and 5 1/4 inches tall Handle extends out another 2 inches and is approx. 4 inches tall Marked ROYAL IRONSTONE CHINA with the stamp of the lion. Crown and unicorn, with CHARLES MEAKIN ENGLAND under it. This printed mark was used on the earliest pottery made at the Burslem Works location. From 1870 to 1882. There are a few expected minor anomalies inherent with hand-made pottery. The inside is quite clean. Close inspection reveals very minor scratches on the bottom from use over 130 years ago. The glazing on the exterior is very nice There are no chips on the top edge. As shown in the photos. There is a very small crack at the top right side of the handle that appears to have been glued, possibly prior to glazing. This ... moreis not very obvious to the eye when on display, and in my opinion it is a minor visual issue. I have tried to be as complete as possible in my description. But I'm not an antique expert and have assessed this chamber pot based on the research I have done. Please look carefully at the photos. As they are part of the description. Antique Victorian Alfred Meakin England Royal Ironstone China Chamber Pot
This very nice Victorian chamber pot is an English classic as it was part of every home in England during the Victorian period and until modern sewage systems introduced the flush toiled around 1900. This pot may also have been brought to the US during this same period and used as well. It is made from Ironstone with a fine high gloss finish and has a beautiful transparency to it(pictured#1. 2, 4) The under glaze is white and the over glaze is very thick making it transparent looking. It has some vertical lines around it giving it style and a broad serif handle(pictured# 3) It has a raised, curled rim around the top as these pots were used to catch poddie and were usually kept in a wooden commode uncovered. Covered commodes were often much more ornate and sometimes painted with colored glazes and floral patterns these were kept outside of ... morea commode most often in the bedroom near wash stands. Today commodes like this one are used for floor ornaments. Bed/bathroom décor, indoor& outdoor planters or just for fun. It measures 5 1/4" tall X 8 1/2" in diameter around the top and 4" deep. It was made by the Edwin Bennett Pottery company. Perfect for use as a planter or a decorative object! It is in excellent condition with no chips. Nicks or cracks. It does have crazing. This auction is for a Royal Ironstone chamber pot manufactured by Baker& Co. Ltd in Fenton. Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, England c 1893. The pot is 7" tall with lid. 8-1/4" wide, it weighs 3 pounds 15 ounces. The pot has a bluish tint that is very pretty. I do not know the pattern, it looks like a stylized Fleur-de-lis or maybe bundles of wheat. Mark on bottom arched" Royal Ironstone China- Lion& Unicorn emblem- Baker& Co Ltd- England. Item in very good condition. No chips or cracks. There is a stain on the top, it does not go thru to the other side so it may be a scratch. You can see it in the last photo.

Antique Porcelain Chamber Pot This listing is for a chamber pot from around 1890. It was produc ed by J& G Meakin of Hawley. England. The pot is in very good condition with no flaws. The lid has only one small chip on the bottom inside(see photo) I am not entirely sure that the lid belongs to this pot but they were found together. They were being used in an old barn at an estate for over 100 years. Yes, it was fun cleaning it out but now it is disinfected and sparkling, though I doubt I would drink from it. The diameter is 8.5" wide at the mouth of the pot and 4.75" tall. This Chamber pot is in Beautiful condition.With beautiful flowers, kind of Burgundy, looks to me like the snow ball plant, The Lid does go with the pot but is a little out of round, when made ~~~ nothing bad there is a chip on the under side of the lid rim that was there before the firing as it is covered with the Glaze, the pot stands approx. 9" to top of the handle pot its self is 6" decorative handle 9 1/2" round ~~ Opeque China. WAC R CO. No cracks, very heavy, I have seen them used to serve chips on display conversation piece, I use the one I have under bed to keep Coins in/great for storage/ or who Knows? we have come a long way!
