These were cleaned of layers of old paint and are original authentic period pieces of hardware for your collection or vintage renovation. There are some small residual amounts of old paint that might need to be cleaned off before use. Display or a new finish applied. I am happy to combine shipments, just let me know you are still shopping. This auction is for 8 skeleton key covers. They all need to be cleaned and polished. 6 are standard oval covers. They do not all match. They are pressed metal. May be brass may be another type of metal. The Victorian Key hole cover is ornate and pretty. One corner doesn't sit flat. I think it could likely be flattened without damage to the item. 2 screw holes work into the design nicely. This seems to be a cast metal. The other looks gothic to me. It is cast metal Maybe steel? Both holes are fine but one side does look like it is chipped or cut from a short piece? I'm not sure. ... moreNo screws included. See the pictures for details.

Rare find. These come from a turn of the century hardware store that closed many many years ago Some were still in the brown paper. Nice set of 8 NOS never installed.
