But not sure. They're quite heavy and semi-ornate, and the largest is about 4 1.4" long. Overall nice shape with no major rust. No markings we can find. Sturdy and attractive pieces. The other two do not match, and they measure 3 5/8" and 3 3/8" These brasses are probably Victorian, mid to late 1880's, and all are in good shape, with no cracks, breaks, or repairs. They have been reclaimed from the same building but this set is in better condition, Genuine Victorian Key Plates, made of Cast Iron, still with most of their original paint, really a great piece. The second photo shows 4 brasses that are included in the lot, and three of these are marked"England. These are truly beautiful. This is new old stock by Keeler Brass Company. They have a nice patina. But will polish up even nicer! The small key hole cove is ornately embossed brass. 31/2" long and 3/4" wide.The back is number 1893 KBC. The middle one is also ornate 6" wide and 3/4" wide. The back is 1894 KBC. lot of 8 NOS Victorian Skeleton Key Door Plates Escutcheons Ornate lot #2
Rare find. These come from a turn of the century hardware store that closed many many years ago Some were still in the brown paper. Nice set of 8 NOS never installed. Some very minor paint chips and surface rust/dirt on three of the 8 from sitting on a shelf for 100 years or so. All matching! Will ship this set for $6.00 Priority mail and I will combine shipping.
