Bowl measures 8 1/2 inches in diameter and 5 1/4 inches tall Handle ... moreextends out another 2 inches and is approx. 4 inches tall Marked ROYAL IRONSTONE CHINA with the stamp of the lion. Crown and unicorn, with CHARLES MEAKIN ENGLAND under it. This printed mark was used on the earliest pottery made at the Burslem Works location. From 1870 to 1882. There are a few expected minor anomalies inherent with hand-made pottery. The inside is quite clean. Close inspection reveals very minor scratches on the bottom from use over 130 years ago. The glazing on the exterior is very nice There are no chips on the top edge. As shown in the photos. There is a very small crack at the top right side of the handle that appears to have been glued, possibly prior to glazing. This is not very obvious to the eye when on display, and in my opinion it is a minor visual issue. I have tried to be as complete as possible in my description. But I'm not an antique expert and have assessed this chamber pot based on the research I have done. Please look carefully at the photos. As they are part of the description. Because of the age of this item. It will be sold AS IS and returns not accepted. so if you have any questions at all about the condition of this piece, please be sure to ask before purchasing so there are no surprises. This auction is for a Lovely Antique White Ironstone Chamber Pot and Lid made by Johnson Brother. Late Pankhurst& Co. of England circa 1883. It is in Remarkable Condition. Especially for its age. The pot and the matching lid have 12 sides. There are no chips or cracks or repairs or damage- Not Even Crazing. It's that nice. It is extremely hard to find Chamber Pots in this gre at shape especially con sidering wh a t t hey were used for. There is a small glaze bubble at the base of t he lid handle that was from the firing process(see last photo) It adds character and authenticity to the piece. The chamber pot has the Johnson Bros. Late Pankhurst& Co. Royal Coat of Arms black backstamp. The piece dates to 1883 when Johnson Bros. was taking over the backrupt Pankhurst Co. With the lid on. It has an interesting handle and knob on top of the lid. The floral design is on both sides and extends to the lid. It looks like it had gold paint along the edge. I like how the porcelain is shaped along the top and bottom of the pot and on the lid. It's a beautifully made piece! The chamber pot is in good condition. The design has endured well for its age. Hopefully someone will recognize the name on the bottom and can identify where this antique chamber pot came from. English- backstamp on the bottom reads. Francis Sparks of the West, 144 Oxford Street, London W. Excellent condition and believed to be ironstone although it does not indicate this on the bottom. Large at 9" in diameter at the top and 5 1/4" tall. Excellent condition with a half dime size rough and discolored spot on the inside near where the handle meets the base. And a very tiny, very old nick in the rim. Trimmed in shiny gold glaze with very slight wear. Trimmed more with gold on the handle and one circle around the body of the base.

Royal Ironstone China Alfred Meakin Ltd Chamber Pot W/Lid-England-Late 1800's
These chamber pots are very collectible and rare. Especially with the lid. This one also has a crocheted lid cover. There is a chip on the lid(mostly on the underside) and a few small cracks on the lid. The pot has no chips, cracks, damage, or repairs. The pot is 5" high and with lid approx 7 1/2" high. The bowl part is approx 8 5/8" across and from the handle across is approx 11" I really like this piece but we will be moving in 3 years and we are downsizing. This is a very heavy piece.

Vintage Ceramic Ironstone Chamber Pot or Planter with Scalloped Desig n- Not Marked( flowers not included! Pre-owned vintage chamber pot(could be used as a planter too) found at an estate sale in good used condition. This weighty piece(over 3 1/2 lbs. is ceramic. I believe it would be considered ironstone. The creamy off white glossy finish shows crazing. One of the crazing veins has discoloration and appears in the pi cs as if it is a crack- it is not a crack. There is an area on the rim where the finish is a little bumpy and discolored(see pics) There are no cracks but there are some fleabites. About 3 of them that I see(see pics) There is a very light stain or finish discoloration on the inside side. see pic) There is a nice raised scalloped decoration all around the piece. Antique blue and white child's chamber pot. No lid. Staffordshire Ironstone Transfer Ware. Friburg Davenport pattern. Probably from mid 1800's. A blue and white scene of English countryside ornate homes. Trees and foliage. The inner top lip is bordered with strands of ivy and a striped pattern. The same design circles the base and the handle. Condition appropriate for age. A few small chips. Crazing and cracks but very clean. One 1.5 inch crack on inner side surface and a second 3/4 inch crack inside too. Good color and glaze. Good overall condition. 8 inch diameter across the top; 6 inch diameter across the base. 5 7/8 inches in height. Kept in smoke free home for over 60 years. Beautiful as a chamber pot can be! This Chamber pot has a floral pattern on both the pot and the matching lid of the most wonderful color blue. It is also deeply accented around the top and the lid with sponge marks and shadows of Gold. This is all original. The bottom is marked Royal Ironstone Warranted and has the lion/unicorn mark. The inside is supreme for the age and the lid is fine too. The only damage are a couple minimal chips on the rim of the base. Take a close look at the photos. This is a rare one!

Roseum LE&S England Ironstone Transferware Chamber Pot Black Leopard Lilies
From the 1860's. A dramatically beautiful antique white ironstone chamber pot decorated with black leopard lilies. The pot is surrounded by stems of lilies with buds and an opening lily on the inside bottom. The rim and handle are covered in black leaf garland. There is embossing and a thumb rest on the handle. The lip of the pot is encircled by two ridges and a third ridge is half way down the pot. No chips or cracks whatsoever. Very little crazing is present on the bottom. A few manufacturing spots are present. There are numerous maker's marks on the bottom: ROSEUM LE&S ENGLAND, with the number 11(cut into the bottom at the base) over the number 92(embossed) and a black number 4 is present about 1.5" below the previous mark.
