Vintage Chamber Pot Enamel on Steel White w/ Red Trim and Lid Black Wood Handle
Vintage porcelain enamel on steel chamber pot. The base has gently curving sides in white with a line of red trim around the top rim. It's large enough and sturdy enough to sit on(of course) The lid fits well and is solid fire engine red. There is a wire handle on the base that has a rotating. Black wooden handle. It stands about 9 1/2" tall, is 10" wide and weighs just under 3 pounds. It came from an estate sale and it's not marked for manufacturer or age. It's clean and in good condition. There are two chips in the enamel on the bottom edge, four small rust spots inside and a few light marks from age.

Because I was ini tially struck by it s resemblance. Albeit on a larger scale, to just such an item which I also have listed as a separate auction. But this is. Indeed, a chamber pot. Since I've never used one of these and didn't want to practice. I can't give particulars on the methodology of use, so that's up to you to speculate. Use this as a decorator piece in your modern bathroom! Before indoor bathrooms were popular. These chamber pots were used in every bedroom/household. People used these pots so that they wouldn't have to make a trip out to the outhouse in the cold, dark night. In the morning these full pots were carried out and dumped in the outhouse. Judging by the size. This one was probably used by youngsters between the ages of 5–12. This one is unique because it has a lid and the original manufacturer's label on the side. It reads. Columbian, Serving the Home Since 1871; Porcelain Enameled Steel; Made in U.S.A. by Columbian, Terre Haute, Indiana; General Steel Wares Limited; GSN logo) Exclusive Canadian Distributors. The pot has a red rim and the lid has a black rim but they fit perfectly together. The handle is a slightly rusted metal with a ... moregray Bakelite( grasping handle. I don't think plastic, as we know it today, was widely used during this time period but I understand that Bakelite was used, however, I can't guarantee this. There is also a ripped price tag on the side of the pot which I cannot read. SIZES: Pot only—7 1/2" tall x 9 3/4" diameter top. Total height with handle straight up is 13" Lid—10 1/8" diameter x 2" height CONDITION: There are several dents. Chips and scratches on the lid and pot. White Antique Chamber Pot w/ Lid and Handle Perfect Condition!!!
This gorgeous antique white chamber pot has its lid and handle. The handle is metal with a wooden grip piece which is still fully intact although the paint on the wooden grip is a bit worn. There are no cracks or chips in the porcelain/ceramic(I am not sure which of the two it is made out of) The piece is in perfect condition. The charming embossed decoration on the pot and lid make this a beautiful find. This piece measures approximately 11 inches high and 10 inches in diameter, and is quite heavy, so I will be offering local pick-up only.

Large Antique Victorian Porcelain Chamber Pot With Handle & Lid
This large Victorian chamber pot is in good condition for its age. It has a wood and wire bail handle. It is quite heavy and is rare due to its size. It measures approximately 12" in height and 10" in diameter. You will note. In the pictures, that the pot and lid both have some paint splatters that can be easily removed. The lid likely wasn't used as much and is a little different shade than the pot; not really noticeable. There is some minor pitting, glaze discoloration spots and minimal glaze crazing. This is a quite large old fashioned white enamelware chamber pot. This pot has an extending metal handle with a wood grip. The pot measures about 11" tall to the top of the lid and the handle extends up about 5" The pot is about 8.5" wide. This pot shows some age and has bits of rust on the interior bottom and around the edge of the lid but very little. I see no chips or flakes. This pot can be very useful for whatever task you assign it to or would just serve well as a display piece.

Vintage White Enamel Cooking Pot With Lid This kettle is rather large and has a wooden handle. The lid has a small handle secured to the top. Although this pot has chips in the enamel. It adds to it's character and will display well in a rustic decor. No doubt it's old as wooden handles were not common in recent years. The measurements are 10.25" high x 11.75" diameter. Antique porcelain chamber pot with handle and lid. Beautiful blue floral pattern on white porcelain background w/ decorative handle and lid. Base has'Minneapolis' with a crown stamped on it. The pot and itself is in Excellent Condition w/ no chips. Cracks, or other damage/wear. The lid has a couple larger chips along one edge of it that are difficult to see in the pictures, however, I'd be happy to provide better pictures of specific areas upon request. This is gorgeous piece even w/ the chips in the lid and would make a beautiful planter or addition to someone's collection of blue and white china.
