Up for auction is a Vintage Antique ENAMELWARE CHILD'S CHAMBER POT ~ ~ Circa 1930s-40s ~ Maker mark appears to be"AM or MA" the outside is a robbins egg blue with a black stripe around the rim and inside is off white. There is a small chip inside the size of a pinhead. See pictures. This pot is in beautiful condition. ~ This potty was probably used in a wooden potty chair. Vintage Enamelware Chamber Pot and Lid Black and White
The best I can tell. And remember from what my grandparents told me, this is a chamber pot. It appears to be enamelware. It is white with black trim. The pot is approx 9" deep and the opening is approx 8 1/2" but the pot flares out more than that. The lid is 10 1/2" in diameter. There are chips, look at the pictures for those. This is a vintage porcelain enamelware white chamber pot or pail. Dome shaped black trim lid with swing bale wire and nicely turned wooden handle. It is a heavy duty piece. Measures approx. 10"high to rim has a width of approx. 10” at the rim and the circumference around the rim measures approximately 32 ½” This urn shaped pail is large and the pot and lid together weigh around 4 ½ pounds. There are a couple small chips around the lid rim. Three uniform marks on the bottom(possibly from the manufacturing process) and there is a manufacturer’s flaw of a paint drip as seen on the photo with the scale. Other than that. Offered is a great vintage enamelware child's potty or chamber pot in dark blue with a white interior made in Poland in great condition for a piece of vintage enamelware. There is no missing enamel; there are some scratches on the bottom and some minor rough spots along the outside upper edge. There is a small pea size blemish on the outside that shows up as a lighter blue which is a manufacturing defect. The bottom is marked in white with a teapot MADE IN POLAND 18;and this potty measures 7" in diameter at the top. 4" in diameter at the bottom, and 3-3/4" tall.
