Lowel Rifa-lite LC-66 Soft Light for film - fixture and wiring work fine
For sale is a Lowel Rifa-lite LC-66. I bought the light as part of a lot of equipment from a local business that is getting out of video production. The lamp fixture on this light works. But the collapsable reflector needs some repairs, so I am selling this item as-is. First of all. The front diffusion panel is missing and needs to be replaced. Second. Two of sewn in tubular pole holders- Lowel part# 10117 I think) are missing. The short arm of one pole is broken at the connection point to the fixture, and one side of the base ring that holds the poles in has been bent out of shape and probably needs to be replaced. A small amount of the reflective coating has worn off where the poles rub the fabric. But it is still very very reflective. The outside of the reflector fabric has discolored in places, but this does not affect the operation of ... morethe light. The power cord which I am also including with this light has some separation at the plug. It works. But it may need to be replaced before too long.

BRASS CEILING LIGHT FIXTURE WITH GLASS SHADE I am offering for your consideration this single brass ceiling light fixture with glass shade. The fixture is marked UNO with a patent date of Dec 24 12 and the socket is marked Arrow. It appears to be complete but I have not tried to see if it works- it has a length of wire being approximately 20" coming from the top of the tube at the point where it would mount to the ceiling. It has a 17" drop from the ceiling to the bottom of the shade. Good original brass patina with minor discoloration and oxidation. One screw that holds the shade has been replaced and is rusty, the link that attaches the rod to the socket is not brass and small rim chips and roughness around the bottom of the glass shade. This is a vintage BRASCOLITE light fixture circa 1920. There is currently an original 1920 magazine ad for this exact fixture on ebay now) This was sold originally as a ceiling light fixture. But I obtained it as a ceiling fan light for the fan I have listed now. It can easily be adapted back to a ceiling light. It appears to be complete as far as I can tell. The ceiling pan is metal in porcelain enamel finish. It has some minor chipping around the 3 mounting holes- not bad. The original light shade is in good shape with no cracks. The glass shade is marked with company name and patent dates along the upper rim(1913 to 1919) Marked"Luminous Unit Co. St. Louis" Pan is 15" across and the shade is 8 1/2" diameter and 6" high. A very elaborate and beautiful light fixture could be assembled from all this. Note the decorated canopy is lined with glass. Finished fixture would be about 29" tall and 15" wide. No damage that I can see. The box was labeled two light fixtures and the other is also being listed today- it is not quite as elaborate or as omplete. This is a vintage Arts& Crafts ceiling light fixture/ chandelier. Made of hammered brass. It is fairly heavy, nicely worked. I have not polished it-has been stored in hopes of installing but have since changed the direction of my house lighting goals. Therefor I also do not know if the existing wiring will work(I do not have one of those electrician current testers) Condition: No faults with the brass body or petals. Structurally sound. Some green residue from earlier polishing; the center flower hangs loosely in it's socket as it may be missing a bolt(see pic#3 with zoom) As I said earlier I never used this, but if needs any tweaking it looks to be all easily accessible. Polished. Lacquered. Rewired. Antique etched shades. 36" drop. Span 23" It is in perfect. Ready-to-hang condition. However, as with any used fixture on ebay, you should have this properly installed by a licensed electrician. I purchased this seven years ago for $300. This Victorian era Art Nouveau fixture features Fleur-di-Lis and rosettes( I think) and is made of what I believe to be brass(but could be bronze) Structurally it is in very good shape overall for its age. The inner rim of the fixture where the globe fits in measures 6" From the outside rim to outside rim where the globe fits is 7" The diameter of the fixture at the top where it rests against the ceiling is 8 1/2" This item is in good vintage condition. A wonderful. Rare example of 1930's Art Deco/Streamline design. This original ceiling fixture was inspired by futuristic images of the Space Age. It features 2 spun aluminum saucers which reflect light upwards while a frosted glass insert casts light down. The larger saucer has a lovely brushed satin aluminum finish surrounded by a polished chrome outer ring. The smaller saucer has a polished chrome finish with an incised ring design. It appears to be floating as it is held in place by three S-shaped springs. This multi-tiered or stepped saucer effect is a classic feature of Modern Design from 1930's Art Deco to Mid-Century Modern. This chandelier would be considered top of the line in anybody's standards. The shade measures about 14 1/2 inches in diameter and is in wonderful condition with no chips or cracks. It is in immaculate condition from top to bottom. Notice the bobesche at the top of the magnificant jadeite stem that has six vintage crystals. WOW! Art Deco / Nouveau 5-Light Chandelier Orig. Finish Vintage Lighting Fixture
We recently went to an auction that had great 1880s-1930s lighting fixtures. Lamps, etc. We know that some of them came from west central Ohio homes that were built during Ohio's railroad boom(most people don't think of Midwest railroad barons, but we had'em) We'll be listing these over the next couple of weeks. This beautiful Art Deco/ Art Nouveau chandelier is semi-flush- it hangs less than 12” from the ceiling. So you DON'T need a lot of headroom. It's heavy painted metal. The color is mostly a coppery-gold, with dark green, red, and blue accents. This is the original finish– there is a little wear, but nothing that detracts. The chandelier is about 16” across. It has five lights. All five bobeshes/ socket cups are there and in great shape. It has five(5) old Ratner push sockets. The only damage we found was on ... morethe ceiling mount. There is a little paint on it where someone painted“around” the fixture. Also. The connector has been pushed in on one side. You could easily tap it back out, or leave it that way. Please see the pictures. BTW. We've seen some old chandeliers using crystal cut decorative halogen light bulbs from the hardware store. It looks attractive. Not authentic, but attractive. It must be rewired. The CK details: We go to auctions in spurts. And buy whatever intrigues us or makes us smile. We sell things as we find them; we do not attempt to make repairs, and sometimes don't clean things if we might ruin the patina. We try to describe items as accurately as possible. Glass Ceiling Light globe fixture Antique/vintage 12" Hand painted 10" fitter
This is a vintage 1915-1925 hand painted glass ceiling light globe in wonderful condition. The exterior has been hand painted with a rural scen e. One side depicts a farm setting with house and barn with trees; the opposite sho ws a road curving through trees. The two scenes are separated by water with a likeness of a sail boat on the surface and hills in th e distant background. The glass itself is frosted over a co arse surface that reminds one of ice-chipped glass. The paint has no loss and the colors are rich and vibrant still. There is one thin fitter c hip that barely breaks the surface of the edge and would never show. The globe about 12"W X 6-6.5" H with a 10" fitter.
