Vintage French Fleur de lis Yellow Toleware Tole Ware Country Desk Lamp-$85/$100
I combine purchases. I dont find any makers mark. Tried to show you true color in lamp. Definite mustard yellow with black fleur de lis and black accents. The shade is perfect inside as seen in photo with a few light scratches on the outside(very minimal) The shade itself measures about 12 inches across x 5 3/4 tall. Has one pin to hold the white glass shade and is Im pretty sure for a three way bulb. In great shape for age. Very minimal wear of black basicaly in one part that I see. Whole thing measures about 28 inches tall at the loop x 18. On the bottom is a metal plate that does have some rust but it doesnt affect the lamp. The shade is meant to fit perfectly on the white glass shade so it doesnt move. I dont know if it would hold a glass chimney or not but it doesnt look like it was intended for that. ANTIQUE 1870-1880 GERMAN EICHWALD YELLOW WARE BARREL / TRINKET BOX WITH LID
This covered barrel was made as a novelty and used as a trinket box to contain small items. It measures 4 3/4" 12.2 cm) in height. 3 3/4" 9.5 cm) in diameter at the top and 3" 7.6 cm) in diameter at the bottom. The piece is incised on the bottom with"Eichwald" a"C" 611" in large numerals and a gold guilders mark. It is heavily embossed to look like a barrel with two horizontal straps and vertical"woodgrained" slats. The lid features two straps with brads. The handle is a circular branch with the use of flowers embossed around it. There are four matching flower and leaf designs, joined together with chain links. All the raised areas are trimmed in gold, which is slightly worn in places. ANTIQUE BENNINGTON YELLOW WARE ALE PITCHER ROCKINGHAM GLAZE 3 DOGS HUNTING BUCK
Here we have a 19th Century Bennington yelloware ale pitcher in Rockingham glaze and decorated with a wonderful hunting scene. This ale pitcher measures 8 3/4" tall at the handle and weighs 3 pounds 14 ounces. It is 8" from spout to handle and about 9" wide at the belly. It is decorated with a hunting scene including three hounds chasing a buck in a forest setting on one side and two mounted horsemen on the other. The handle is in the form of a branch band t here is a floral motif below the rim and a design under the belly. This ale pitcher is Rockingham brown salt glazed on the outside and on the inside leaving only the bottom unglazed. The glaze is lighter in some areas which only adds to the charm and it has a wonderful unique partially unglazed base. There is a one inch chip on the rim by the handle and some other small ... morechips on and below the buck(photo 11) There are chips on both the top and bottom of the handle and some small nicks on the rim. The unglazed bottom has very tight crazing and there are some rub marks to the glaze in areas. Up for auction is this antique yellow ware piece. I think it was a bean pot. Deep creamy shade of mustard yellow with red flowers and green leaves. The red and green areas are set down into the pottery. There is a rim of pottery around them that stands up from the pot itself. I think if you would want. You could take the paint off the piece with a little nail polish remover or denatured alcohol. The outline and raised area would still be there but not the coloring. It is charming as is! Item for sale is a vintage yellow ware heavy-doodoo(eee) pottery bed pan.could be an awesome repurposed wall pocket! It does have a hanging hole in the back. see picture#5) It measures 16 1/2" long. 11" wide, and 4 1/2" deep. It is in good to great used condition with the crazing associated with an older piece, and a few potters blemishes: cracks that were glazed over(see pictures 6-8) and some glaze that had been scraped off on the rim. Here is an old crock. I I believe it is yellow ware or pottery. It has a red flower on the front. The paint on the flower is slightly smudged. Crackleture throughout. There are some hairlines at base but it holds water. There is a small chip at the rim above flower and a small chip in the back that was repaired. There is a tiny spot of blue paint near rim. There is no lid. Could be used as a planter. Measurements: 8-1/4" high. 26" circumference, 6-1/4" diameter across top and bottom, and 4-1/2" diameter of opening. RARE 19th C. WILLIAM RIDGWAY& CO YELLOW WARE HOUND HANDLE JUG YELLOWARE SIGNED, A rare yellow ware hound handle relief molded hunt jug with mastiffs at the kill of a wild boar on one side and a male Lion attacking a stag on the other. Signed with a rare partial pad mark on the base. England. William Ridgway& Co. Staffordshire ca 1830-1854 This is an early Staffordshire relief molded hunt jug with a yelloware body. This is a rare example in that it is marked with an applied pad mark on the base. The padmark has partially broken off. And it took me a while to figure whose mark it was. I found the mark in"English China and its Marks" by Thomas H. Ormsbee. The mark is in an octagon frame with an anchor and urn. It has W R& Co in a banner below the anchor. The jug is also marked with an impressed asterisk or flower and the ... morenumber 9. The jug measures 6 1/8" high at the tip of the spout and 7" at the top of the hound handle. It is 4 1/2" across the base. The exterior has a matte satiny sheen. While the inside has a clear shiny glaze. The relief decoration is crisp and spectacular. Condition The hound handle has been repaired at the top where the paws meet the rim and near the bottom terminal at the haunches and tail. These repairs must have been done by an amateur. And they could definitely be improved by a professional restorer. Guaranteed authentic, this is truly a rare Ridgway jug and it will enhance any collection of yellowware, or hunt jugs. This is in very good condition with no chips. It does have some crazing from age and use and does have on small chip on the bottom edge which is 1/4 inch by 1/4 inch. It is 11 inches long and 4 inches deep. This is the first one of these I remember seeing with a handle and pouring spout. Crazing or repairs. This is ca. 1850s-1920s give or take? The neck of the vessel is impressed with an old-style" 3" The lid has a"grip" texture around it. A rubber gasket seal and screws into the top of the jug. It appears to have"+" slots in the top for screwing the lid tight so I'm assuming it held some type of valuable liquid! The lid has an inclusion and some small factory flaws(I can provide more pictures upon request) The jug's about 18" tall. It has a 2-tone brown glaze with a darker goldeny color on the top half with the lid a shade darker. It's beautiful and a very rare find! This piece looks so much like the early Lustro ware plastic. It is a small bright yellow hard rigid plastic baking/ cake/ mixing spatula. Evidently there was originally some printing on the front that appears to say“Patented. but this has so faded over the years, so it could be some advertising message. Really has that wonderful look of the early Lustro ware plastic. But this could also be part of a child’s baking set? Still a useful working size, but much smaller/ or shorter than most spatulas. Plus, with the small opening at the end, this one can be hanged to display. The only embossing on the piece is near the hanging hole at the end– Embossed is Made in U.S.A. Yelloware Bowl TINY Primitive Rare Unique Berry Edge 3 blue stripes Yellow Ware
Another piece from the same estate. Beautiful and tiny Yelloware bowl. Really unusual beautiful pattern with 3 blue bands stripes. The edge has a pattern that reminds me of bittersweet or holly. Some sort of a berry pattern. There's even more patterning around the lower edge of the little bowl. So much going on and the size of the bowl is tiny. Only 5 3/4" in diameter and approximately 3 5/8 inches tall. This piece has a mark on the bottom. It is either 102/ or perhaps it's 104- Tiny chip on the edge, but I think the uniqueness of this beautiful piece negates that. This is an antique yellow ware milk pitcher with multi color green glaze. The pitcher looks very old- it measures 6 inches tall and is in great condition with the exception of one small chip under the base. Tiny but heavy crazing is visible throughout on close inspection. No other issues or damage. Decorated with an odd pattern of flowers. I do not know the maker and the pitcher does not appear to be marked. Very nice old pottery piece. This vintage Japanese Maruhan Ware tea set is in its MAW1 pattern from the 20s-30s. It is an off-white/cream. Crackle-glazed hobnail pattern with yellow flower finials. The set is complete. With 8 teacups, 8 saucers, 1 creamer, 1 sugar bowl with lid, and 1 teapot with lid. The flower on the teapot lid finial has a tiny chip in it and there is a tiny chip on the spout. Also one teacup has a chipped base which it looks like someone in the past tried to repair(see photos) Otherwise clean and in excellent condition.
