Marked on the map are the Mountains of Kong, a non-existent mountain range charted on English maps of Africa from 1798 through the late 1880s. An early map resulting from exploration of the area and showing this west to east mountain range in 1798 was produced by English cartographer James Rennell. Rare F. Winkle Red Transferware Slop Bucket Offered here is an amazing. Large 2 piece waste or slop bucket in an all over transferware pattern in red, produced by F. Winkle& Co. in Stoke, England. These were produced between 1890 and 1920. F. Winkle Co. ran Colonial Pottery and produced transferware. This bucket has the original splash bowl that sits on top. The bucket was used for dumping and transport of chamber pots and wash basins. The splash bowl was inverted to keep the waste water from spilling out as it was carried. The center pour hole allowed one to empty the wash basin without also tossing the soap as it was dumped. These are quite rare and to find one like this in such beautiful condition is a true find. There are no chips or cracks. There is minor discoloration on the inside bottom. There is crazing throughout. It measures ... more9&3/4" high and 12" across handle to handle. Art Deco Raglan Whieldon Ware Porcelain Chamber Pot F Winkle Co England
Haven't seen a chamber pot like this one.Art Deco designed with black. Black and yellow stripes and colorful flowers. Measures 8n3/4" diameter and 5" high. I found it being used as a planter.it was dirty and had hard water stains. I was able to clean most of the spots, though it could use a bit more elbow grease on the exterior. There are no real chips or cracks.maybe a few rough spots, scuffs and scratches. The bottom rim is a bit whitened from discoloration. I think it can be cleaned off. Thanks for looking.

HERE IS A GREAT CHAMBER POT IN A WONDERFUL AESTHETIC PATTERN FROM THE LATE 1800's. Both the pot and lid are stamped the same: Melbourne. Ra No. 102018, F. Winkle& Co. Stoke-on-Trent, England. Melbourne must be the design. Which is just wonderful. There are flowers and birds and great patterns all in a brown transfer ware. The pot itself is in great condition with no chips or cracks. The lid's handle is missing a piece. Please see the pictures. When the lid is on and the broken part of the handle turned to the back, you don't see the large chip, so it is still great for display. Inside the lid there are some hairline cracks, but these are not on the outer side of the lid. This is a wonderful chamber pot in a very desirable Aesthetic Movement pattern. Many chamber pots have long ago lost their lids. So it is wonderful that the ... morelid is still there, even with the chip in the handle. The pot is quite heavy. Weighing almost 5 pounds, and will need to be wrapped with lots of material for shipping. These factors will make the shipping amount considerable.
