Vintage Chamber Pot Enamel on Steel White w/ Red Trim and Lid Black Wood Handle
Vintage porcelain enamel on steel chamber pot. The base has gently curving sides in white with a line of red trim around the top rim. It's large enough and sturdy enough to sit on(of course) The lid fits well and is solid fire engine red. There is a wire handle on the base that has a rotating. Black wooden handle. It stands about 9 1/2" tall, is 10" wide and weighs just under 3 pounds. It came from an estate sale and it's not marked for manufacturer or age. It's clean and in good condition. There are two chips in the enamel on the bottom edge, four small rust spots inside and a few light marks from age.

And when I saw this I was pretty excited.thought it was a great shape cook pot! To match the cake pan! What a surprise to find this strange.bladder shaped thing inside. I thought hmmmm.what is this, a gravy pan or something? I asked some old timers and the laugh was on me.no way would I cook with these things! This potty has no identifying marks on it. But it is old and in good condition. One chip is on the inside top(see picture) and not all the way through. It does hold a gallon and does not leak! Another chip(round in size about one inch in diameter) is located on the outside of the potty about halfway down from the top. The lid has three(1" chips) on the inside and one other very small chip under the lid as well. The top rim on the large one is about 10" in diameter and stands 5 1/4" tall. The top rim on the smaller one is 8 1/2" in diameter and stands 4 1/2" tall.
