Welcome to my auction! You are viewing a wonderful antique 1887 chamber pot. This is one of 2 items in the set that I have. I have listed the smaller lidded matching pot in another listing so please take a look at that listing too! This is marked Ridgways Chester Stioke on Trent and is in the Aesthetic Brown Transferware pattern. The pot is in excellent condition with no cracks. Chips or crazing. The paint is still in excellent condition, shows the normal gentle loss of some of the gilt trim. The pot has a nice soft textured ribbed pattern under the glaze. The lid is actually inverted and sits nicely in the rim. The interior is fine and just needs to wiped out. there is a manufacturer bubble on the floor. Available for purchase. We have a beautiful early chamber pot made by Brown-Westhead, Moore& Co. Stoke on Trent Staffordshire, England. It is a lovely example of Brown Transferware with added gold gilding. The gold is added to the pots rim but also right into the floral transferware design as well, giving the pot a lovely luster look. The pot is free of chips, cracks or crazing. The Brown-Westhead, Moore& Co name is pressed into the bottom of the pot along with an embossed triangle backstamp. There is then a register# 129864 which they started to use along with the backstamp starting in 1884. This number coincides with the year 1884. The pot is in great condition for its age. This is a beautiful 1867-1890 WT Copeland and Sons"Stoke Upon Trent" chamber pot. Approx 8 1/2 inches wide at the opening not including the handle and 5 1/2 inches tall. The lid has a large lip. It has a castle scene on the front and back. There are a few small nicks on the bottom. Underneath, but you cannot see them when the pot is sitting. Please email me with any questions. Vintage Ridgeway 1878 YEDDO Ironstone Chamber Pot Stoke On Trent
Hi. You are bidding on a vintage Ridgeway ironstone chamber pot. The piece is a nice heavy pre 1900 piece with a transfer design. There are no chips. Cracks or other damage that I can see. The bottom is marked YEDDO with the makers initials and hallmark. There are a couple of places where the transfer bled when applied. Overall, this is a very nice 19th century piece of ironstone.
