It has a manufactures mark on the lid P. J. Rost which is rare to find. It would be charming in an old fashioned or vintage bathroom with flowers. Soap, or hand cloths. Or could be just displayed bedroom to add a look of nostalgia. This era of pot would most likely date to the early 1900s during the industrial era, however, these were also used in the 1800s and early American periods. There is a small amount of very fine hairline craze from age that adds an authentic look to the pot. And the pot is an off white color which could blend with many decor colors. The bottom indicates it was made in England and the number 5532. It measures 5.25 inches in height. 9.5 inches in diameter and 2 inch handle extension. The weight is 3 pounds. 4.5 ounces.
