This is the prettiest antique chamber pot I've ever seen. I believe it's hand painted in art deco style. So I would say that it dates from sometime between 1928 and 1935. My guess is that it's either English or American, although the only mark on the base is a hand written E 3037(see last pic) It is trimmed in black and both sides are decorated with a fall of pink, yellow, and green flowers near the top edge and an alley of cedar trees to the lower side of that. If you don't need a beautiful ... morechamber pot, it would make a lovely planter or flower pot or center piece for cut flowers or fruit. It measures approximately 8 3/8" in diameter(9 3/4" including the handle) x 5" deep. This piece is in generally excellent condition. The only thing I can find to report is a couple of white spots that didn't get painted. See close up in third pic- the white at the top under the rim(the other white spots were caused by the camera's flash) PLEASE do examine the pictures carefully since they are an essential part of the listing- and I tried to take pics from all angles- but note that the bright white and/or yellow spots on pics are just glare/flash! A really gorgeous old chamber pot to add to a collection or to enjoy displaying and using- however you like- by itself! Huge crown semi-vitreous Warranted Chamber pot white W/ Pink flowers
This is a huge Chamber pot that is one of the things I need to find a home for from my Aunts house. It has been in her home as long as I can remember, it is a White with pink flowers, it has a lot of cracks and glued back pieces, I show them all in the pictures, the stamp on the bottom is in the picture, I really don't know the history of this pot. My Aunt is in her 80's and she said it was from the Edwardian Era, it measures 12 inches high by almost 15 inches wide across the front in the widest part. The circle opening is almost 8 inches. There is some raised embossing,and there is some gold touches on the rims and handles, and the base. There is some crazing on the bottom and on the inside. Like I said there is a lot of hair line cracks, glued handle, the base is great no cracks on the bottom, it will still hold a lot of water. ... moreIt is the biggest one we have right now. Antique Victorian 7 Piece Chamber Wash Stand Set Pink Flowers
Imagine having to go through your morning grooming and toilet routine without indoor plumbing. This antique ceramic(probably ironstone) toilet or chamber set with pretty pink and white flower decoration was a necessity in every Victorian home until the turn of the last century. Rural Americans used wash sets well into the 20th Century. Nowadays a set like this will often be found accessorizing an antique washstand or in a country bed and breakfast. There are seven matching pieces(11 pieces total including the lids and trivets) wash basin or bowl, large wash pitcher, covered chamber pot, covered soap dish, shaving mug, medium waste pitcher which is a duplicate of the larger one, toothbrush holder jar with no handles. Two ceramic inserts or trivets are included, one is a soap saver for the soap dish. The lovely floral decals are on both sides ... moreof each vessel. Lavish gold sponging decorates the rims and handles. The china bodies of all but the insert pieces have relief molded acanthus leaf and double vertical line decoration. The regular size coffee cup in two of the photos are to give an idea of size and scale. All pieces are marked underglaze in green"Vienna" The shaving mug only has an additional mark in gold. The number 625 1/4. The set was probably made in the USA from the 1880s to early 1900s. Vienna is most likely the pattern name. My Kovel's and US pottery marks books don't list this mark. I found only three minor areas of damage to the entire set. The chamber pot lid has a small chip on the rim. 1/4 by 3/16 inch- you can see it in photo 5 just below center right on the lid rim. The white spot to the left is a reflection, the one to the right is the chip. The basin has a shallow, small glaze nick on the rim, very hard to see or feel. This auction is for a small enamelware chamber pot that is white with a pink rim and decorated with pink and blue flowers. It looks brand new with the exception of a small area at the bottom(about the size of a nickel) where the enamel is chipped off(see second picture) This would be adorable for a flower arrangement or baby shower gift.
