This auction is for a Lovely Antique White Ironstone Chamber Pot and Lid made by Johnson Brother. Late Pankhurst& Co. of England circa 1883. It is in Remarkable Condition. Especially for its age. The pot and the matching lid have 12 sides. There are no chips or cracks or repairs or damage- Not Even Crazing. It's that nice. It is extremely hard to find Chamber Pots in this gre at shape especially con sidering wh a t t hey were used for. There is a small glaze bubble at the base of t he lid handle that was from the firing process(see last photo) It adds character and authenticity to the piece. The chamber pot has the Johnson Bros. Late Pankhurst& Co. Royal Coat of Arms black backstamp. The piece dates to 1883 when Johnson Bros. was taking over the backrupt Pankhurst Co. With the lid on. V ery beautiful ANTIQUE IRONSTONE CHAMBER POT. It could be a child's potty because of the smaller size. With two rows of lovely scalloped design and semi-ornate handle, this is a wonderful display item. This piece is very old probably from the very late 1800’s, very early 1900’s, it has overall glazing/grazing which confirms its extreme age and adds to its stunning antiquated appearance that collector’s seek. This fine chamber pot measures approx. 5-1/8" high, approx. 5” deep, 9” across the top of the chamber pot, the base measures 5-1/4” across. Up for auction is an antique white ironstone round lid recently found at auction in the suburban Philadelphia. PA area. It is found in good to very good used condition, free of any cracks or chips. It has an interior rim diameter of approximately 6 3/4" ion size. The entire lid diameter is approximately 9" in size. The finial has a wonderful shape to it. A very nice piece if needed. When Johnson Brothers was founded in 1883 by Frederick and Alfred Johnson. Their goal for their Staffordshire pottery was to produce an earthenware called“White Granite, which is marked on many early pieces as“SEMI PORCELAIN. This piece is marked"SEMI PORCELAIN" indicating it was made c. 1890, their earlier mark. It is a true antique. The piece 100 years old in excellent condition without chips or cracks. It stands 7-1/2" tall and 9" wide. I see no crazing.

Royal Ironstone Covered Chamber Pot, Embossed, Johnson Bros. England 1880's
You are bidding on an Antique English Ironstone Chamber Pot by Royal Ironstone(Johnson Bros. Warranted made in mid- to late 1800’s. Marked on bottom: Royal Ironstone China. Warranted in blue ink stamp with a lion and horse around a crowned crest. Pot and lid have applied handles and embossed leaf design with embellishments. This chamber pot looks good on display. The age of this pot is well over 100 years old. And it has a forked hairline crack on front side as a probably mishap that took a chunk off the bottom rim(please look at photos) Bet a maid got fired for this! I have had this chamber pot on display high atop a kitchen cabinet along with other stoneware pieces; it always stole the show when my guests spied it! ROYAL IRONSTONE China CHAMBER POT Embossed Leaves JOHNSON BROS ENGLAND
This white ironstone chamber pot has somewhat of a melon shape. And is decorated with embossed leaves. There are four groups of embossed leaves on the underside of the top rim, and four larger groups, around the bottom. There are a couple of leaves around the applied handle, also. The pot is 5" high, has an 8 3/4" diameter at the top and a 5 3/4" diameter base. The black hallmark on the bottom reads, Royal Ironstone China Johnson Bros. England" There are no chips or cracks. Johnson Bros maker's mark was patented around 1883 and the logo is in black. This antique piece is in excellent condition. Antique JOHNSON BROS, England, White LIDDED CHAMBER POT, ROYAL IRONSTONE CHINA
From Johnson Bros. England, this is a lovely lidded white chamber pot made of Royal Ironstone China. The lid has a scalloped edge on opposite sides and measures 9-1/ in diameter. The pot has a nicely shaped and detailed handle with embossed vertical lines on the bottom half. It measures 10" wide with the handle and 5-1/18" high. Overall height with the lid on is approx 7-1/4" In excellent condition with no cracks. Chips or crazing. Excess piece of porcelain under the glaze and a drip that occurred in production on the bottom edge. Please use the Zoom feature to check out the details. Don't hesitate to ask questions ASAP!
