An authentic antique shade whose background ... morecolor is a deep turquoise blue at the top that fades into lighter turquoise until it becomes fully white at the fitter end. The shade is decorated with pink morning glories with lovely green leaves. The background color of this shade was“spun painted” so that the color starts out deep at the top of the shade and as the shade is spun around. The color fades until it is completely white at the fitter end of the shade. The technique used to paint the design on these antique shades is referred to as“over-painted transfer, meaning that the intended design was applied to the glass globe like a“decal” and then the artist painted on top of the transfer with the brilliant/lifelike colors. Finally the completely decorated shade was fired in a kiln. The shade retains its original brass top ring. Has a standard 4-inch fitter rim, stands 9-1/2 inch tall and is in mint condition. VINTAGE ANTIQUE? HAND PAINTED CERAMIC FLOWER CHAMBER POT
Up for bid is a vintage probably antique(no date or makers mark) hand painted ceramic chamber pot. The bottom of the handle has two cracks running through it and a chip from the top crack. I would suggest never lifting it by the handle. Otherwise still very nice condition. Measures about 10-3/4" from handle to edge. 8-1/2" diameter rim x 5-5/8" tall to top of handle, 5" tall to top of pot. I will ship the next day after payment is received. ANTIQUE ROYAL DOULTON BURSLEM PORCELAIN VICTORIAN FOOTBATH~HAND PAINTED &GILDED~
For your consideration we have a very Rare piece of Royal Doulton. This is a porcelain Footbath from the Victorian Era. It is all hand painted at the Doulton Burslem Art Pottery Studio's. Every flower back and front is outlined in heavy gold. The edge like many Victorian pieces of this elegance is decorated and gilded even on the underside top edge. The bottom bares the mark of Doulton Burslem from before 1901. The Footbath measures 21" long by 8 1/2" tall by 13 1/2" across in width. The large handled porcelain vessel is undamaged with no chips. Cracks nor restoration. Simply amazing for a used item of its kind. This piece has been treasured spaning two centuries and kept in pristine condition. There are only some scuffs and minor wear to the gilding, and a little age crazing on the bottom. This piece can be shipped by ... moreUPS or Fed Ex Ground. This is the prettiest antique chamber pot I've ever seen. I believe it's hand painted in art deco style. So I would say that it dates from sometime between 1928 and 1935. My guess is that it's either English or American, although the only mark on the base is a hand written E 3037(see last pic) It is trimmed in black and both sides are decorated with a fall of pink, yellow, and green flowers near the top edge and an alley of cedar trees to the lower side of that. It measures approximately 8 3/8" in diameter(9 3/4" including the handle) x 5" deep. This piece is in generally excellent condition. The only thing I can find to report is a couple of white spots that didn't get painted. See close up in third pic- the white at the top under the rim(the other white spots were caused by the camera's flash) PLEASE do examine the pictures carefully since they are an essential part of the listing- and I tried to take pics from all angles- but note that the bright white and/or yellow spots on pics are just glare/flash! I am trying to downsize a little. I have quite a few antique chamber pots and am going to list a few this week. This one is a pretty white pot with pink roses cascading from a basket held with blue ribbons. And little rose accents on the side, and a smaller version on the back(SEE PHOTOS) Measures: 9 1/2" across plus 2" for handle) x 5 1/2" deep. This chamber pot looks great with a flowering plant inside! Overall EXCELLENT condition: This pot has very little crazing in the glaze. A few little pock marks inside bottom, and very little faded gold trim. There are no cracks or chips. There is some roughness(about 1/4" on the top rim.you can feel it, but its not too noticable. There is crazing of the glaze. But artwork is in Good shape, no chips or breakage. 1 Round lidded bowl approx. 3" H. Without lid 2" H x 3½" W with some crazing of the glaze and as shown in photo, the lid handle is broken, artwork is in good shape. 1 Chamber pot approx. 9" W x 5½" H. There is crazing of the glaze. Bottom of pot rim shows nicks due to previous use, some chipping in 3 spots underneath the rim and on top outer rim. Artwork is also in great shape. There are no marks.
