Rare Pair of Antique German KPM Porcelain Girl & Boy Sleigh Dresden Figurine
This is a gorgeous pair of large handpainted porcelain figural KPM sleighs! A boy and girl dressed in Royal clothing and both sleighs covered in apprlied porcelain flowers. Beautiful! They are heavy weighted porcelain and each measure approximately 8 inches high by 10 inches wide. Both have some chipping to the applied flowers and leaves and on the boy's sleigh. It looks like there is some yellowing and wear to the paint/glaze. Not readily noticed on display unless you are looking. Overall a gorgeous Victorian pair for the collector! This lovely hand coloured porcelain pot is modeled in the form of a girl wearing a green gown with a ribbon and red spotty shawl around her arms. She has a very neatly styled bob with a large flower in her hair and pretty hand painted face with blushed cheeks and red lips. It bears no makers marks just the word German printed underneath and measures 5" tall by nearly 2.5" wide. This trinket pot is generally in good clean vintage condition. SIZE: The candelabras are approximately 23 inches tall. From candle holder to candle holder they are approximately 14 inches wide. I put a can of Coke with them in one picture so you can see the size. CONDITION: Each of the upper candle holding parts has a repair to an arm. All fingers are intact and there are no repairs that I can see. No chips to flowers or other delicate parts. There are signs of age mostly on the bottom of the base. Beautiful rare antique Merkel hand painted porcelain tile of a young boy in excellent condition in a lovely original gold frame with crown molding detail. Great detail and color. No chips. Crazing, cracks or losses of any kind. Label on back of tile reads KUMSTINSTITUT FUR PORZELLAN MALEREI MERKEL-HEINE WIESBADEN. There is an impressed mark 115 and hand written in pencil 1489. There is also a handwritten label which I am unable to read and have pictured. I believe it may be the artist. Labels at the edge attach the tile to the frame. These labels are for Foster Brothers, 4 Park Square, Boston. The gold cardboard backing is held in place with brass nails. It is secure but some of the nails are missing. Here is a nice German porcelain stein that stands 6 inches tall. The stein has a hand painted porcelain ins ert in the pewter rimmed lid. The painting depicts an unknown churc h. The insert is a little bit loose in the lid but not about to fall out. The hinge on the lid depicts a seated dog and is in good condition but i t has a little bit of slop. The main body has the same scene on both sides. T he background depicts some athletic scenes with men doing gymnastic s. Vintage German Dresden Unterweissbach Porcelain Figurine, beautiful detail LQQK!
This is a Vintage German Dresden Porcelain Figurine marked Heinz Schaubach from the Unterweissbach Porcelain Factory. A crown over a large"U" surrounded by the letters"S" H" This is a wonderful example of the high quality detail and painting that Heinz Schaubach is known for. It features 2 women seated outdoors on a stone wall. One woman is looking at a bird on her finger while the other gazes gently to her left. The dresses of the 2 women are elaborately painted with flowers and the woman on the left is adorned with lovely roses. Both women have flowers in their hair and the woman on the left is sporting a brimmed hat. A second yellow bird is looking down from an old gnarled tree. The poses of the two women make a beautiful composition. I try to show close up photos so you can see the detail in the painting, the ... morefaces, fingers and toe nails. The number on the bottom of the piece is difficult to read, but it appears to be 8289 A. This piece is in excellent condition. The bisque and glaze have no cracks or crazing. There are 3 small chips. One is that the bird in the tree is missing a little piece of its tail(see photo 4) The second is the tip of the green leaf of the peach rose on the far left(see photo 11) Third, the flower in the hair of the woman on the right is missing the tip of the green leaf(see photo 12) All fingers and toes are perfect and this piece has never had any repairs done to it. It measures 7 1/2 inches tall by 9 inches wide by about 6 inches deep. This piece probably dates to the 1940's to early 50's. It was purchased by my wife's grandfather. Who was a collector, back in the 1950's and has been in the family for 3 generations. Heinz Schaubach was a very talented German artist who took over the Unterweissbach Porcelain Factory in 1940. These belonged to my grandma and have been packed away in a trunk since her passing 25+ years ago. She was from Germany and may have brought these with her when she came or she got them because they say Germany on the bottom. The research that I did says that they are Pre-war. They are handpainted and they have the painter mark on the bottom. They are 3" tall and 2" wide. They are cute tigers in suits. These lived in her china cabinet and I do not know if they were used for salt and pepper or not. There is a cork inside one of them and no cork for the other. I will try to get the cork out. But I haven't figured out how to do that yet. I may not beable to do it. So it is an as is sale. I am hoping that a collector will want this unique pair for their collection. This is a stunning large and heavy weighted early porcelain figure of a beautiful woman playing her instrument. It was created in Germany by the Dressel& Kister factory c1900-1920. She is painted with very fine details and has raised gold decoration on the her inner layer of the dress and gorgeous colorful flowers on the outside. She is 9 inches high by 10 inches wide and feels of solid porcelain. She displays beautifully however the bow and strings to her instument is missing and her one thumb turned in is broken. VINTAGE GERMAN PORCELAIN FIGURAL MANTEL CLOCK CASE "WATERWHEEL" #4002
This is an vintage German porcelain china clock case from the mid 1930's. The case depicts a fellow at the mill's waterwheel. There is very vibrant color in the pinks. Blue and greens. There is an abundance of gold leaf trim and it is still bright and shinny. The porcelain is impressed Germany and 4002 is molded into the back. There is two chips on the right side green vine(See photo#9) The opening measures 2 1/4" in diameter. The clock case measures 10" tall by 5 1/2" left to right and 3" deep. Antique German porcelain pink pigs in a woven basket, early piece, adorable
German porcelain pink pigs in woven laundry basket. Early piece Sweet little porcelain piece that may have been a souvenir. Two pink pigs. One peaking over the top of the basket, and one poking his head through the basket. Pigs are not as"pink" as later examples are- they're light pink with dark ears. Realistic"woven" basket with what looks like straw at the top, and touches of g old paint all over the front of the basket. Like many of these early figures. The ba ck is unpainted. The basket also has two molded handles. Pi ece meas ures 3.5" across and about 3" high. Unmarked on the bottom with the exception of embossed mold numbers. Usually indicative of German manu facture. Bottom is unglazed. This piece dates to the turn of the century or early 20th century. Very g ood condition with no chips. Cracks or ... morerepairs. Slight we ar to the paint on one pig's ears. Pair of vintage or antique German porcelain soldier figurines. Each figurine has a gold anchor mark. The closest mark to this that I found in my book of German porcelain marks is that of the Ludwig Wessell Company of Bonn. However. It may not that company. Figures could date from sometime in the 19th century to the early or even mid 20th century. Top of musket on one figurine is rough and looks as if there was more there, probably a bayonet.
