There is a small chip inside the size of a pinhead. See pictures. This pot is in beautiful condition. ~ This potty was probably used in a wooden potty chair. Vintage Chamber Pot Enamel on Steel White w/ Blue Trim and Lid Black Wood Handle
Vintage. Antique porcelain enamel on steel, enamelware chamber pot. The base has gently curving sides in white with a line of blue trim around the top rim. It's large enough and sturdy enough to sit on(of course) The lid fits well and is also white with blue trim. There is a wire handle on the base that has a rotating, black wooden handle and it also has an assist pour handle on the side. It stands about 9 1/2" tall, is 10" wide and weighs just under 3 pounds. It came from an estate sale and it's not marked for manufacturer or age. It's clean and in good condition. There is one little nick in the porcelain and a few small rust spots. The metal handle is rusty and it's left rust stains down both sides. There is some staining on the inside. All questions are welcomed. This is a VERY high quality antique late 1700's to early 1800's MELLOR ETRURIA Chamber Pot commode with Lid and inset dish. It is obvious this was created for the very wealthy as it is hand painted in hues of soft teal blue floral pattern and trimmed in gold gilding gilt. The attention to detail and repousse decoration embossed all along the body and lid! The more lavishly decorated chamber pots with this type of decoration can be found in museums. This is a chamber pot that dates from 1873 to the early 1920's. The mark on the bottom says"Crescent 1st Quality& Sons England" There is also a hand painted number: 21836' that may be the pattern number. The mark on the bottom was used starting in 1873-1874 by George Jones& Sons in Staffordshire England. And used up until the early 1920's. This chamber pot can be described as having pink roses on an off white background with cobalt blue and gold trim. There is crazing. But no chips. There is a hairline crack on the inside lip of the pot that measure approximately 1.5 inches, but the crack does not go through to the outside of the pot. Offered here is an early vintage enamel chamber pot. White with deep blue trim around the bowl and a blue handle. It measures 8-1/2" across the top. On the bottom, although light, is found Made in Germany, inside a circle. This chamber pot has worked hard, and has the chips and rust spots to prove it. Still a wonderful reminder of times gone by. White Enamel Chamber Pot Small Child's? Blue Trim Handle Primitive I bought this at an estate sale. It is 5" high. 8 3/4" wide, the base is 7 1/2" wide. It is white with a beautiful dark blue trim around the top edge. As you can see in the pictures there are some chips; on the handle and the bottom edge. Other than that it's in pretty good condition. The inside isn't stained, it just needs the dust wiped out. Great addition to that primitive collection. Please use the pictures as part of the description and judge for yourself.
