New Jersey, America. The company was owned by Thomas Maddock& Sons, Moses Collear, C.A. May and Thomas P. Donoher. This beautiful pitcher features a Delft Dutch water scene in Holland with windmills and sailboats. Vintage antique Maddocks porcelain large pitcher with a nice grey blue and white Dutch and sailing vessel design. Reads: MADDOCKS WORKS LAMBERTON ROYAL PORCELAIN. Measures approx. 11 1/2" at its tallest. And 9" in diameter at the base. No chips, cracks, scratches, or crazing and I would consider it in good condition for its age. Has some staining on the inside that you can see as it has not been cleaned and had dirt in it. A great display piece- there is no apparent repairs or cracks evident AS IS condition. However, no apparent crazing, dirt inside, some use evident Here for your perusal is this Wonderful Porcelain Water Pitcher It would have once been part of a set. There would have been a large bowl to hold the water for the washing of the face and hands. There might have been a soap dish. It was made by the Maddocks Lamberton Works out of Trenton. New Jersey. It was called Royal Porcelain. Based on the back stamp on the base. The Pitcher possibly would have been made between 1892 and 1924. Based on the nature of its usage, it was mostly on the earlier side. This pitcher is huge. At least as pitchers go. The approximate circumference of the body is 25 inches. Its tallest point is 11 inches at the spout. It weighs in at over 4 pounds. It is embellished with grey blue and white detailing. My guess is of a charming Dutch village and sailing vessels. Certainly it has slightly faded with time and use. But there are no surface type chips on the base. There is normal wear to the base. I have not cleaned the pitcher and it is dirty inside, but I have left that for

UP FOR AUCTION IS AN ANTIQUE PORCELIN CHAMBER POT CRAFTED BY ALFRED MEAKIN. NORTH STAFFORDSHIRE, ENGLAND CIRCA 1891. IT IS IN VERY NICE SHAPE AND THE COLORS ARE EXTREMELY BRIGHT AND THE GLAZE IS SHINY. THE POT IS 8 7/8 INCHES IN DIAMETER FROM THE OUTSIDE EDGES OF THE TOP LIP AND 5 1/8 INCHES TALL. ANTIQUE FLOW BLUE CHAMBER POT 1890'S FULLY MARKED PURCHASED IN ENGLAND IN 1968
Up for auction is an antique chamber pot in flow blue made in the 1890's. It was purchased by me in London in an antique store in 1968. The original price tag is still with the pot. I didn't know at the time what I was buying and thought it was some kind of vase. In my travels in England later on I discovered its nature because I stayed in some hotels that had chamber pots under the beds. It was used as a vase for many years. The dimensions are: circumference at the lip; 8.5 inches; circumference at the lower bulge; 9.25 inches; height; 5.5 inches. It is in excellent condition having only small ding on the underside of the bulge. About 3 mm long. It was originally gilded, but most of the gilding has been worn off. I could find no damge. See image for manufactures marks. Approx. 8.75" diameter and 11" to the handle and 5.25" high. Age is somewhere between 1874 to 1896. Brownhills. Between Longport& Tunstall. Brownhills: The packhorse lanes through Brownhills: One of the main pack-horse roads, which left Hanley by Woodisun(Marsh Street) Brook Street(off Marsh Street North) connected with the lane from Newcastle and wound through Cobridge and the lower end of Hot Lane, Burslem, where it branched; one route going approximately via the present Nile Street, Burslem, and the other, a narrow lane behind, and to the west of what is now Waterloo Road, but which was then a portion of the adjacent fields. Passing Cross Hill and in front of the church yard, it ran by Bournes Bank, a steep incline, to Swan Square. From here the road probably traversed ... morethe slope by way of St. John's Square, or through the Market Square, on to Hill Top. From thence it went down the narrow steep passage of the Back Sytch, past the Sytch Water Mill on the Brownhills Hall estate and past the hall, where it would join the road from Newcastle and Longport, into Tunstall and the north. This Wood& Son chamber pot is in remarkable condition given its age. Mfg'd in England circa 1890 this item is a vintage example of flow blue craftsmanship. The bas relief Trilby pattern is further enhanced by the deep cobalt of the flow blue design and brightly accented by the GOLD decoration. There is no discernable cracking or crazing and the finish and the glaze is bright and shiney. Antique Victoria Ware Ironstone Flow Blue Twisted Serpent Handled Chamber Pot
This auction is for an estate find of a older Flow Blue Chamber Pot made by Victoria Ware. It is in Great Condition! I can find no problems at all. I am no expert but I believe this is what is called Flow Blue. The background is not a white but rather maybe a very light blue. The handle is a twisted serpent look. see photos) The approx. size is 9' in diameter not counting the handle and it is approx. 5 1/2" high. We have here an Early RARE Flow Blue Flowers Vase Child's Chamber Pot. It measures 6 1/8" around. 3" tall. It has one handle. Overall moderate tight crazing. Except for inside of bowl. The flow blue pattern is of a vase with flowers. The inside of the bowl has a flower cluster. No stamps on bottom. But it does have an indent, JAPAN, I couldn't get a good photo of it. This is a gorgeous. Early 1900's, flow blue chamber pot with a cobalt blue floral pattern on cream. Although commonly used through the mid 20th century, traditional use of the chamber pots disappeared with indoor plumbing. Today they are used for bed and bath decor or as storage for bathroom supplies, rolled towels, and even planter pots. This pot measures 8 5/8" in diameter(10 1/4" to handle) x 4 3/4" deep.
