I believe that this piece was made in China right around the ... moreyear 1900 but it could be much earlier. The bowl is made of white porcelain and is painted with a blue 5 clawed dragon with clouds and the sun surrounding him. Around the top rim and the bottom base is a border which is done in blue. The bottom has a blue mark which is made up of many different Chinese characters. This piece measures 5 1/4" in diameter and stands 1 3/8" in height. This piece is in excellent condition with no chips. Cracks, breaks, stains, or repairs. Antique Staffordshire blue & white transfer ware octagonal chamber pot 1840-1860
This chamberpot is"cold white" and blue. With no markings except a small impressed"O" on the bottom. It is 9 inches wide. Not including the handle, and 6 inches tall. It's quite heavy. The transfer ware pictures are the same on both sides; and there's a chip under the lip of one side(1.75" x a little more than one half inch) As shown in the photo, and a very tiny chip at the top of the handle. The pot was used to hold plants. So the inside is somewhat dirt stained, but I imagine bleach would fix it. The pot was evaluated by a professional. This is a beautiful old porcelain chamber pot found in Sweden. It is very unique and heavy with a beautiful blue flower design. The colors and shape of the handles are reminiscent of the Gustavian period in Sweden. It is unmarked. In excellent condition, would look beautiful in any part of the house. We estimate it's age to be mid-late 1800's. Measures 6" high by 12" across from handle by 9 1/2" in diameter at the top by 6" in diameter at the base. Stilt marks, crazing caused by quick temperature changes, pigment or glaze skips, grit specks under the glaze, clay cracks made during the firing process, firing separations, etc. are examples of the type of manufacturing imperfections that can occur. I have checked and can not find this pattern. On the last pic you can see the hair line crack that is in top. Antique Transferware Blue and White Chamber Pot Slop Bucket with Cover Lid VGC
Up for auction is an antique porcelain transfer ware chamber pot or slop bucket with a cover or lid. This is a really nice piece with only a few areas that need mentioning. There is a bit of crazing at the top of the bowl. There is a smear in the blue transfer at the edge of the cover. There are some minor flea bite chips on the rim of the cover. All of these areas show clearly in the photos. So please look closely to make your own determination of the condition. This chamber pot is 9" in diameter and is 11" across to the handle. This is an antique chamber pot made by Keeling& Co. in England about 100 years ago under their Losol Ware trademark. It would make a beautiful planter. It has a glossy glaze and gold trim on the handle and top and base rim. The pot has a 10 inch diameter and stands 5-1/4 inches high. It is in very good condition; no chips. This auction is for an antique chamber pot by W. H. Grindley& Co. The registration number is 2194? the last number or letter cannot be read. However, there are two marks like the top of an"M" This chamber pot is white with a rich, deep blue floral and a raised art nouveau design of swirls. It also has four rectangular panels of sprayed antique gold, along with sprayed gold on the outer edge and highlighting the raised design. This is truly a gorgeous chamber pot. It measures 10 1/8" in diameter and stands about 7" high. There is a brownish line about 1/4" long which looks like it took place in the making, but may be a stain. 3 Triumph" appears in blue letters on the bottom, as well as"31" and an"F. This Wood& Son Trilby chamber pot is in excellent condition. Wood" Son" vs and"Sons" dates this piece between 1891& 1907. Other than a superficial shallow chip on base where it sits no damage. Very clean with very little wear. It is the Trilby pattern in blue. It stands about 5 1/4" high with a rim diameter of 8 1/2" and about 11" from far side to handle. It weighs 2 lbs 10 ounces.
