Truly a grand statement piece you would be proud to showcase in your home. This fabulous étagère measures 105 1/2 inches( 8' 9 1/2" in total height. Height to the marble at the base is 29 3/4 inches, with a total width of 54 inches and total depth at the base of 19 inches and this étagère weighs approximately 250 lbs total but does dis-assemble into 3 pieces for easier handling during shipping and moving. The original mirror at the center measures 46 3/4 inches in height by 22 1/2 inches wide. This Victorian étagère is in fantastic antique condition. The original mirrors do show some mild spidering silver loss as common with old mirrors. And the original white beveled edge recessed marble top has no chips or cracks but does have some mild discoloration as age appropriate. There is also a small age shrinkage area to the wood by the bottom mirror on the right side see picture of close-up, and a piece of burl veneer missing on the left side towards the back; see close up picture. Neither of these affects the integrity or beauty this elegant piece offers. The locks are intact on the drawer and the cabinet below but the key provided just aids in opening the drawer and the cabinet. This unique piece stands 68 inches tall at the center and is 30 inches wide and 18 inches ... morein depth. This is a two-piece secretary which makes moving it a whole lot easier. What caught my eye on this piece was it was a davenport desk. But instead of the typical slant front, this one has a secretary section on top. This is not a married piece, these two started life together, guaranteed. The top has nice intricate Eastlake type of carvings and half pinwheels surround the gallery. The desk top or writing surface drop downs to reveal a nice writing desk. Complete with great little cubbyholes and two drawers. There are no drawers missing, and all the hardware on this piece is original. We have the original key and it is included. The finish is original and has a rich. Warm patina. As with most old furniture, one can see areas where the finish has worn a little from use, which suits me just fine. I like to know that an old piece was used, not just displayed. I am sure if one were to use some stain in places, it would darken these wear spots right up, and then a nice coat of paste wax to continue to preserve this piece. This is local pick-up only. We will be glad to work with the winning bidder and local storage is not a problem. We are willing to deliver within a reasonable commute from the Queen City and we are always traveling to shows. The sideboard is in amazing condition, with very little sign of wear ... moreat all. It is the original finish and the mirror has the original glass intact. There are a few light surface scratches to the finish from general use, but it has been very well cared for, and is in amazing condition. I am unsure of the exact age or manufacture of the piece, but I do know that was originally contructed between 1870 and 1899. The sideboard has short reverse scroll feet with beautiful carving that runs up the side supports from the feet. The sideboard has carved accents on the front of the doors, at the outer edges of the large drawer, with matching carved details on the top mirrored frame and pillar supports.
