It is Eastlake style with line carvings and a beautiful crest crown atop a large rectangular mirror. There are lamp shelves flanking the mirror with scrolling corbels for supports. The base has 4 spacious drawers and is topped with marble. The marble drawer tops have a ¼ bevel edge while the center piece has a straight edge. The center piece does have some nicks and chips in the top and bottom edge but there are no cracks. Breaks or fractures that I can see in any of the marble pieces. The drawers have brass and wood drop pulls. The dresser sits on casters. This is a beautiful example of Eastlake style craftsmanship. The mirror is in excellent condition with no breaks, chips or cracks.I do not know the maker or exact date it was made. This piece is antique and will not be perfect. This dresser measures 94 ½ inches tall, 50 inches side to side and 20 1/8 inches front to back. It weighs 232 pounds. We do have more photographs that we can email if you are interested. Up for auction is a sturdy antique dresser with a marble top. The top sits on the dresser and the heavy weight of the top keeps it in place. Top does not fasten to the dresser. The top has more gray tones than white. Marble is clean with no noticeable cracks or stains. The three drawers have locks; however. We do not have the key and do not know if the locks are functioning. The dresser is on casters and rolls nicely making it easy to move. We do not know the actual age of the dresser and do not know the name of the manufacture. We did not see any obvious markings. Stampings, or dates on the dresser or the top. The dresser drawers have a dovetail type of joinery. We are guessing that the dresser is early 1900's. MONTVILLE, NJ PICK-UP - Antique 4 Drawer with White Marble Top
LOCAL PICK-UP- MONTVILLE. NJ* This is a piece from my Grandmother's estate and has been in our family for 4 generations at least. I think it is Mahogany based on the reddish color of the wood. It does have some scratches and along the bottom trim there are a few cracks. I don't know the year it was made. It measures 43 5/8" at the rear and 39 1/4" in the front where the marble is, and it is 20 1/4" deep. It has four wheels for easy moving. The drawers are all 35" wide and 20" deep. The first drawer is 4" in height, the 2nd is 5" the 3rd- 6" and the 4th is 7" high. It is a sturdy piece and has served well, but it needs a new home. This light brown chest of drawers is solidly made. It is 18 inches deep by 36 inches wide by 33 inches high. It is very heavy due to the quality wood and the marble top. It has been in the same family for 60 years. The year it was made and the manufacturer are unknown because there are no markings on it. The front drawer where the marble top is visible is as light as the rest of the dresser shown in the other photos. All the knobs are included. Some will need to be reattached.
