There is a lot of info on google about McCrory's Five& Dime History! Just think how many little kids had their candy weighted on this scale. Just think of their excitement as they watched and waited for the clerk to weigh the candy and give it back to them! Unfortunately the scale has seen better days! It appears to be in fine working order but it really could use a good cleaning. We are not going to attempt to do anything to this scale, we'll leave that all up to the buyer. We do not want to take a chance on damaging any part of this lovely antique! The scale is so old that the labels are all worn or have rubbed off, over time. There is one large label that was on the main arm of the scale and the only text we can make out is"York County, PA" There is no info on the manufacturer of the scale. The only thing we can see is where you read the weight, EXACT WEIGHT printed across the top. We did some research on the Exact Weight company and seen other scales that are almost identical. The chair shown is offered elsewhere in our collection Item# 110105PII25 This is a remarkably preserved English Chippendale Period Kneehole Desk. Circa 1740-50. It is crafted of well figured solid single boards of Mahogany on the top and sides- there is no veneer on this desk, just solid boards of full grain mahogany. A simply molded edge runs the perimeter of the top, each corner scalloped. Each drawer is hand dovetailed front and back, with thin oak frame construction and thin oak drawer bottoms- all drawers are fully original and lack any adjustments and restorations to the secondary construction. Glowing hand forged brass hardware adorns each drawer. Appearing to have never been removed from the piece. Inside each drawer, as well as the tiny door in the kneehole area, silver metal locks are secured and functional. Each lock appears to be original, each uniquely cut on the right hand corner for all small drawers- it would appear the craftsman was presented with the challenge of making the lock of his choice fit the small space in conjunction with the pull hardware, and overcame this but cutting the corners of each lock. Hand made screws are visible throughout the lock hardware. While we cannot say for certain if the key is original, it is of the period, hand made and very similar in metal color to that of the locks. Each drawer is lip-molded and slides flawlessly in and out of the desk. Just below the top drawer is a secret drawer compartment. Appearing to be part of the frame design, but actually pulls outward smoothly as an extra hand dovetailed drawer. This is a unique addition for the craftsman to make, as many of these knee hole desks are without such innovations. The wide top drawer pulls out to reveal a full dust shelf. This is a very attractive vintage four drawer chest of drawers. The drawers are tongue and grove. It can be used as a sewing box. For craft storage, or as a trinket box. Card catalog unit from the Morgan Library at Grace College. The library was first built in 1939 but later moved to a building constructed in the 60s or 70s. So I'm not sure when this card catalog was originally built. Some surface wear. But all drawers work, and I have most or all of the rods and metal dividers. All drawers retain the drawer pull hardware. Dimensions: Width: 41.5 inches. Depth: 34 inches. Height(without casters) 28 inches. My grandfather worked at the college as a carpenter for decades and may actually have built it himself. He would know how old it is. But he is unfortunately no longer around to tell me. He bought it when the library switched to an online catalog and kept it in his shop for years after that.

4 Antique Treadle Sewing Cabinet Drawers w/Brass Pulls - Davis Co.
These drawers came from the cabinet of an antique"UNIQUE" model sewing machine by Davis Co. They are in very nice shape- they truly do not have a bad side. The veneer has just minor wear. From what I can tell the base of the pulls are brass- not attracted by a magnet, and are in very good shape, I believe the rings of the pulls may be steel as they are attracted to a magnet- they have tarnish as you can see in the photos. The underside of the drawers have a groove where the drawer rails would fit. The outside dimensions of the drawers are: 13" deep. 4 3/4" wide, and 3 3/4" high. If you look closely in the zoom photos you can see a little half-moon indentation under each drawer pull which I think is wear right about where the lower half of the ring would come in contact. These drawers would make great storage/accent ... morepieces or could be used in a repair/refurbishing project. If you have any questions please feel free to ask.

I started to strip the drawers and was going to refinish them and sell them. Then I realized that some one may want to stain them with a different color so I stopped. All the drawers have been stripped and one rack. So most of the work of refinishing them is done. All the wood is in great condition. No soft spots or rotting. Only one original knob comes with the drawers. I also have the center drawer and will combine shipping. The center drawer has its original finish and also is in very good condition.

This is a 4 Antique Singer Treadle Sewing Machine Drawers. Please note: There are NO frames in this auction. It is only 4 drawers. The drawers are interchangeable between the left and right sides. These drawers are found on very early Singer Treadle Sewing Machines from the early to mid 1880's. These are found with Singer models 12(New Family) and 15 with fiddle shaped bases. The drawers are so old the pulls are held in by slivers of wood. This is the original design! These fit into drawer bodies with solid shells. Three drawers are solid and one has a little side play. The faces have a dark finish that may have been applied afterwards because it also covers the pulls. Only one drawer face is complete. The others have chipped upper and lower edges. One has a large chip on the upper edge. One pull is missing the Singer backplate. Two drawers ... morehave the original wood sliver to hold the pull into place. The pulls have an 1882 patent date. The insides of the drawers is dark and stained. Each drawer has a 5" x 4-3/4" face. Each is 12-1/2" long. Not including the pull. Don't forget to follow"The Treasure Cellar" on facebook! Up for bids I have this wonderful Oak 4 drawer machinist chest with gold hardware. The drawers are lined with green felt. All corners have metal over the corners to protect the wood. The top shelf has locking hinges so the top stays open. There are two handles on either side of the chest. The chest could be used for jewelry. Crafts or even a sewing box. It is coming from a non smoking home. The wood has a very high gloss finish. It measures approx. 21" L x 13" H x 9.5" Deep. There are some fine surface scratches from use. Antique Victorian Curly Maple Dresser w/Swivel Mirror and 4 Drawers - Spacious
Up for bid is this late Victorian 4 drawer dresser with swivel matching mirror. Curved lines make it somewhat feminine. But this was the style for that time for both genders. The mirror can be removed for shipping or transport. Drawers are dove-tailed. Hardware appears original. No serious issues other than wear consistent with age. Every aspect is tight. Curly maple wood is typically used for gun stocks. To have an entire dresser made from it? Quite unusual! There are no issues. Drawers are deep. Tall and hold lots!
